Average, we went with another couple. Everyone said food was ok. My husband and I both had to add salt to our Ribeyes. I wanted to ask for Steak Sauce but I didn’t. The lobster Mac and cheese was bland. The sweet potato casserole was delicious. We tried the steak salad. It was delicious. Cheesecake, I’ve had better. Pomegranate Martini was made just right. The stuff mushroom appetizer was delicious. We had an ok experience but my husband and I both agree we do not have to return. The price were use to but not the quality of food.

I’ve never had a bad experience at Ruth’s Chris Steak House. I LOVE that they offer a Happy Hour. Food was delicious. Steak was perfect. Manager checked on us a few times and made us feel very comfortable.

Despite ruining our dinner do to my wife’s steak having to go back 3 times as they just couldn’t get it to medium rare for the love of God lol Well here’s my observation as I wasn’t really pissed do to that! But the manager after the 3 tries simply vanished as he must of been extremely embarrassed to come back and do his job as a Manager. Therefore the waiter was the one apologizing . (Not cool as did expect him to show up and face the facts! sign of bad management 100%) In my point of view after cutting thru that steak twice in various location making it completely diced up from going back and forth and so on, they should of immediately offering us a new freshly cut cooked piece, but that wasn’t the case at all(Very disappointing for a place that claims to be the high end.) Then to make things even worst we ended our night with a bill in front of us and a completely dirty table(dirty dishes still in front of us which no one had the decency of doing their job) So as for my Cowboy Ribeye which was cooked perfectly @ medium Rare wasn’t as I expected to be for the price they charge(I have no issues paying for good red meat) It wasn’t bad, BUT it was no where nearly as good as what they claim it to be. It was ok(not worth it for a place like this) I just do happen to be sitting next to another table that claimed they only go there for the tuna and clearly told me they weren’t a big fan of the steaks there . I guess lesson learned as we were planing on becoming regulars since we recently purchased a condominium basically next door to them!(congrats to us) Resuming everything I would not recommend the steaks specially at this location, but opinion varies. Please check the picture and see what a joke of a $ 50 medium rare piece of ribeye looks like lol . So good luck to you !!

Let’s get an irrefutable fact out of the way first that should have no impact on how people review Ruth’s.it’s freakin expensive. figure a C Note per Person if your not drinking big. if you are complaining about that in your review you should have kept the car going forward and hit Outback.Longhorn.or one of the various Roadhouses… unless you were one of the three winners of the recent gigantic Powerball Lottery Jackpot Ruth’s is a special occasion place that you come to on vacations.engagements.anniversaries.birthdays.graduations.holidays.etc…you know it’s going to be a once or twice a year occasion for you so you want the food to be great and your ass kissed accordingly… Ruth’s in Destin does both perfectly… from the moment you pull up in your car to The Valet to the moment he brings it back for you after the meal you are treated great by everyone… this Ruth’s compared to others I have been to has a much more laid back(read less stuffy) environment than other Ruth’s…the Wine Enclosed Dining Room in the middle of the Main Dining Room and The Fireplace give this Ruth’s a really comfortable feel… as for the food I don’t have to reiterate what others have said because the Prime Steak is absurdly good… when that Ribeye comes out sizzling with butter on a searing hot plate Red Meat Nirvana is reached. I will say the three must orders on any Ruth’s Visit are The BBQ Shrimp Appetizer. The Cowboy Steak(Bone-In Ribeye) and The Bread Pudding. if you are not a meat eater Ruth’s has some of the best Crab Cakes in town as well. the sides are just like the sides in every other high end steakhouse. baked potatoes.fries.au gratin potatoes… sautéed spinach.etc.the whole key is just order a few for the table because they are big and are easily shared. I often see tables making the mistake of everyone ordering a side which is definitely not necessary… the service at this Ruth’s like all others is top notch, as they greet you by name when they first come up to your table and are always there when you need anything throughout the meal because a couple other people are always helping your main waiter out… there is nothing better than when they come and clean/scrape your table after every course which is key for a messy eater like me… the only reason I am not giving Ruth’s 5 stars is because of their deplorable beer selection… when you ask your waiter in 2016 what craft beer they have and their answer is Heineken and Stella Artois it’s «Ruth’s We Have a Problem».it’s not 1996 anymore, yet these corporate chains are so slow to evolve with the times and Ruth’s is still pushing wine… so disappointing that at least they don’t carry some of the local beers like Grayton. Idyll Hounds.Destin Brewing. Pensacola Bay or at a minimum some stuff from Stone or Dogfish. this alone merits a one star deduction for their terrible beer selection… so in summary I would say Ruth’s is worth the yearly effort of putting all your change from your pockets.car.couch cushions. etc into a piggy bank and busting it open for that special occasion when you want some fabulous Prime Cow…4 stars all the way

Attentive service and melt in your mouth steaks. I had ordered mine medium rare and it was a touch too rare for me but cooked perfect. The plates the steak sat on were so hot that I found I could slice my tenderloin and it cooked on my plate to what I liked. Salads are huge so unless your really hungry you may want to share. Same with the sides. The spinach Au graten was excellent. This was our first time at a Ruth Chris Steakhouse and we will go back.

It’s Ruth’s Chris. A chain restaurant that serves you the same food(with only slight variations) at different locations. I’m sure this place gets high marks in Destin because there is no where else to have an edible steak. With that said, the sides were too salty and slathered in butter, the sweet potato soufflé is so sweet, I would send it back at dessert. The steak was cooked properly, but totally forgettable. Our waiter, Garrett, was very nice. It wasn’t his fault that the food was mediocre and pricey. I’ll pay high prices for fine dining, but this place just doesn’t justify those prices for the quality.

I must say is a Ruth’s Chris goes this place was a little odd. There were a lot of patrons in the restaurant to begin with but they sent us to the east bar to have a beverage before our table would be ready. Which was kind of strange in itself and that there was a bar right there in the same room where we were standing that had no one at it and was not attended by a bartender. So we shuffled off to the bar had a drink and then came back to be seated. We sat down and had our usual Ruth’s Chris excellent service. My wife and I shared a bowl of lobster bisque which was excellent as usual. We each had a salad I had the lettuce wedge and she had the house steak sound. Then we ordered and split the 16 ounce New York Strip. I also got a side she got sweet potato soufflé and I got asparagus. Food was excellent the service was up to Ruth’s Chris standards and we enjoyed a nice meal for my birthday.

Amazing night out — start to finish. The Valet was friendly and prompt. Greeted by name, we were quickly seated. Wine, apps, salad, steak, veg, dessert — service — all top notch. Do order the Crabtini app — Oh my stars. ridic. The steak is phenomenal — but of course, you probably already knew that. If you are looking for a special night out — this is the spot!

My husband and I ate here a couple months back. We went out dressed casual(jeans and tshirts) thinking it was just a regular steak place but it’s very high end. Valet parking and everything. We got a lot of looks but honestly, didn’t bother us a bit! The food was so AMAZING and the service was awesome! We had a very funny waiter and he didn’t make us feel different than anyone else there. It is VERY expensive though. Definitely a good anniversary or ‘I’m really sorry” place. Lol we had a great time!

Consistantly a perfect experience. Mouth watering tuna appetizer, and perfect side dishes. Big city atmosphere in our small beachside town. If I ever decided to eat beef again, it would be here…

We love this place for anniversaries, birthdays, occasions like that. It’s a little expensive for a regular dining spot, but well worth the price for the quality of food and service you get here. The staff is always friendly and the steaks are so much better than you’re going to get anywhere else(at least in Destin.)

It’s that time again hungry hippos! What time you ask? Time to eat a hot juicy steak! For me, it was going to be the last meal in good olé US of A for a while. So we decided to splurge and go balls to the wall at Ruth Chris. Elsewhere, Ruth Chris is scoffed at as «that chain steak place for people who don’t have a damn clue.» But here in Destin, it’s quite the establishment. And I must agree. Décor was fabulous and the hostess wore a really pretty pantsuit thing. Well that shit better be on point because it was EXPENSIVE!!! With drinks, you’re probably looking at a hundred bucks per person. The meat(I got the ribeye) was pretty good as it should be for the price. The sides were a little disappointing. We got the mushrooms and creamed spinach, both were overpriced and not particularly tasty or large portioned as they claimed. The problem is that this is the kind of place that’s so damn expensive that they HAVETO get everything right: service, food, décor, everything must be perfect right down to the toilet paper that you wipe your ass with. It’s so expensive that people for the most part only come here for special occasions and they expect shit to be done right. So any deviations from that kind of becomes a disappointment. So while the whole experience was really good, because the expectations are so high, it’s difficult to feel like they knocked it out of the park.

4.5 but I’ll give it 5. Don’t want to write a long review, but a group of 8 guys went for a bachelor party last dinner type of thing. The service was impeccable, the ribeye was hands down the best steak I have ever had, and atmosphere was great! I was disappointed that they do not have shoestring onion straws. I ordered the thin potato strings(or whatever they are called) thinking for some reason these were my coveted onion straws. Super disappointing! It’s my fault obviously, but even these were flavorless(besides the salt). Docking ½ a star for that. If you are ready to spend some money and have an amazing dinner, go.

Three and a half stars. Garrett was an excellent server. He was friendly without being overly intrusive, and apologized that there wasn’t anywhere we couldn’t escape to from the live music in the front section, even though there were hardly any tables filled that evening. Pleasantly polished décor, with round booths for larger parties. Caesar and harvest salads were both good, but I favored the market variety of the latter. Our table opted for sides of mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, sauteed mushrooms, and green beans with roasted garlic; the mashed potatoes could’ve been improved with fat or garlic. Meats were cooked to order, and seasoned nicely– the stars of the show, as they should be. I favored the ribeye just a bit over the porterhouse, but the pork chop was alright. Dessert in the form of pecan chocolate truffles with the strawberry shortcake turned out to be just the right notes of sweetness to end the meal on, though the cake itself was a touch dry.

This is the best restaurant in Destin. I know, I know, it’s a chain. But I LOVE It so much! The wine wall, comprised of bottles from the original Ruth’s Chris in New Orleans that was lost in hurricane Katrina, the very«Destin» décor in sea foam green and light pastels, and most importantly, the menu. I had the filet with shrimp that were almost the size of my hand and seasoned with a Cajun seasoning. My husband had the filet with a brandy peppercorn sauce. It was a lovely dinner, and I stand by my statement–«the best in Destin».

I banned this place years ago after an experience with a dirty wine glass and an expensive bottle of wine. Yet when some friends invited us along for a birthday celebration I thought why not? Yes, it will cost you. Party of six-$ 592 plus tip. Worth it? Not really. Service was good but not what one would consider a fine dining experience. Highlight for me was the live entertainment, a solo artist who plays the sax and sings. He is very talented. Downside there were few other patrons so the music overpowered the dining room and it was difficult to speak to my friends on the other side of the table. My food was decent, with the exception of the limp asparagus. Another at our table had to send back the tuna because it was drowning in soy. The replacement dish came with the soy on the side and she enjoyed it very much. Everyone else enjoyed their dishes, the steaks being the highlight.
