Service and food are both good! We stopped by as we were craving for ice cream. Got the sundae and the tutti frutti. Very satisfied!

Shakes is a great place to stop by during any season and at any time (during business hours). Their concretes are similar in consistency to DQ’s blizzards, but taste better. I always get several different fruits added to mine. Not only does Shakes serve up cold, fresh custard, they also have hot dogs and they are delicious. I don’t eat meat anymore, but Shakes has some of the best hot dogs in the area. The price is reasonable and between the concrete and the hotdog, I never leave feeling hungry. Outdoor seating is limited and during the summer (busy time) you may find yourself eating the concrete in your vehicle, but my husband and I never seem to mind. Usually the places with the lines are indicators of a great experience to come and this can be said for Shakes. Anytime my husband are in town, we make sure to stop by on our way home and grab a concrete.

Great local spot, sweet cold and different. Concrete? Float vs blend? They will explain in all. Had the key lime concrete, wife had strawberry concrete. Just great!

We stopped here in search of something sweet for a super hot day. The line wasn’t long like when we passed the night before thank goodness! My friends and I all got the banana nana (that’s what it’s called if I remember correctly) and it was good! Kind of got sickening after a while once it satisfied my sweet tooth. It came in I think regular and large only. I managed to finish it and I find it should be something enjoyed in moderation. Prices were reasonable! I’ll try something else next time around.

Delicious! There was a huge crowd but the line moves quickly. The options are plenty and based off of return customers who offer up their favorite selections it seems like there are no bad choices. I ordered the fudge brownie malt.

I have nothing but awesome, amazing things to say about this place! The custard is by far the best that I have had in Fl. I got the concrete definitely generous with the cheesecakes bites. Size was more then enough! Could even share if you wanted to (but personally once you’ve tasted it you wouldn’t want to share!) The price is decent. The service is fast and kind. Its a MUST stop!

Too expensive. I wanted a chili dog and shake. The chili dog, alone, was $ 5! The small shake was $ 6! I didn’t have time to find something else because I’m on my lunch break, but the chili dog is just mediocre and I passed on the expensive shake. Definitely a tourist TRAP.

Tragic news, they’ve done away with their cakes!
Such a shame, nobody else really touched theirs. Concretes and sundaes are still more than worth visiting for, but I’m really going to miss those cakes.

I love this place! It was right by my hotel so I had to check it out. Their custard is so good. They have loads of delicious toppings and sauces you can mix into their vanilla and/​or chocolate custard for shakes, malts, concretes, and sundaes.
We got a chocolate malt and a vanilla shake with cookie pieces and cheesecake pieces. Both were so good! The service is super prompt and friendly. Great!

My father was so impressed with their real Malt drinks that he went back a second time for more! It was absolutely delicious! The Bopper was loaded with toppings and a diabetic coma on a cup (aka freakin sugary, chocolate, caramel, & candied pecan perfection!)
Do stop by if you like delicious creamy custard, shakes and malts. I had to delete 2 «delicious“es from my small review as to not be repetitive but that should give you an idea of how deli— tasty they are.

14oz size $ 5.00+ is a little pricey but definitely is filling and deserving of a pricer shake!
There are more flavors than what their website promotes.

Loved it! Similar to a Sheridan’s; they have concretes. I opted for the big ol’ Banana Nanna sundae. Vanilla frozen custard topped with strawberries, pineapple, caramel, and salted pecans with bananas. Pretty much like a vertical banana split. It hit the spot.
They have shakes, malts, other elaborate sundaes, and hot dogs, too. They have different versions — Chicago dog, Destin dog, etc — and it’s a walk-​up stand with tables to sit on outside. It was rainy when we went, so we stood under the awning and then made a break for the car.
Next time I’ll have to try the Pink Poodle or the Strawberry Shortcake sundae, both which caught my eye.
