Over the summer at eastern market I tried the kafta while they were grilling it outside. I’ve been trying to make it back here ever since! Finally today with a day off I drove down and I bought spicy kafta patties, chicken kafta which they guy made for me since they didn’t have any out, ground sirloin and chicken schwarma. Staff was friendly, fast & the quality of the meat is great. Reasonable prices too!

I saw the many high ratings here on Unilocal and was looking forward to a visit on an Eastern Market Saturday. It’s okay, the selection is okay quality wise, and is good for different types and cuts of meat. I was put off that I can get better quality steak grades at Costco. I was excited to get some great meat, cooler in the car and everything, and I saw a wide range of okay meat instead. Now the reason to go is the samples cooking outside, the staff there is friendly and outgoing and really knows how to get the most out of their recipes. That makes the stop fun.

I walked up to Adam’s Meats and was instantly greeted with the scent of grilled Kefta, which they were giving away as samples. My kids and I all loved it so sure enough, we walked into buy some. The first thing I noticed was how CLEAN the place was. Major props for that. Then, the selection — impressive and creative. The service was prompt and friendly. The cashier talked to my kids, and the counter server helped answer questions and give suggestions. The prices were quite reasonable for quality local, Halal meat. Finally, quality. We just finished devouring the stir fry I made with the top round and it was some of the best beef I’ve had. 5 stars all around.

Umm YEA!!! So there’s this crazy good kafta in the case, and garlic spread in the cooler that I come for here all the time. Can’t lie, all the marinaded items look amazing and it appears a lot of them are in the middle eastern category. Great selection, super clean. Also they have good hours all week so don’t think you can only come on market day(Saturday). Now that all the parking renovations are complete during the week you can park right in front of Adam’s like you are pulling into 7-eleven, or use the large lot just to the south. Don’t forget to look in the small cooler behind you while gazing into the meat case for amazing garlic and tatziki sauce!

Great cuts, absolutely clean, ATTENTIVE staff. Halal market with beef sourced solely from Michigan(according to the owner). I’ve enjoyed Beef Chuck, ground beef chuck, kafta, and their whole marinated chicken. After my first visit, I find that it’s hard to get myself to buy meat elsewhere — the quality is that good, and the prices are very competitive. Oh, and you can get Ka-bobs, pre-made schwarma, and the hummus and tzaziki to go with them. All fabulous.

i have never been to a more delicious mouth watering meat market. the steaks look amazing, unlike most halal places they have very, very, lean ground beef, which i adore. their lamb kefta on the other hand was laced with fat, but i guess that’s just the way lamb is. still good though. just not all that healthy. i wanted one of everything the last time i went but had to control my urges knowing it was just the lack of breakfast taking a hold of me lol. i’m going back tonight for more meat! i’m just craving a big juicy steak. and by big, i mean BIG, i haven’t seen steaks that big my entire life. i hope i can catch them before they close shop for the night. i don’t know why someone said something about a pork tenderloin; this place is halal, they don’t sell pork.

I love a good meat market as much as the next carnivore and griller! Who doesn’t love to look at the cuts of beef with a bright red-maroon color marbled with white striae? Or look at the nice pork tenderloin? It is just a great experience to search for the perfect cut of meat that you know is going to taste so good when prepared with diligence. That being said, this place epitomizes a great market. It is super clean. It feels sterile in its cleanliness(and when in the business of selling raw meat this is a must)! It does not smell(my wife appreciates that). The display cases are big and not crowded. Also, the staff is very nice, efficient, knowledgeable. And they do not act like used car salesmen! This a great place to get your meats!

Head down on a Saturday — Mike will be out front luring you you in by grilling Kafta and chicken marinated in spicy tawook. Then, you are pretty much hooked for life! I have had the NY strip steaks, burgers, boneless skinless chicken, burgers, and kabobs. The best ever is the kafta! Love this place, drive down almost every week now…

This place is great. So much nicer and cleaner than all the other places in the area. Great variety. I was here Saturday and tried some of their samples. I just came back to buy some stuff for 4th of July. Can’t wait to have their kafta and chicken!

The variety of cuts of meat at this establishment make my mouth drool, they have the best rack of lamb I have ever had. The marinated chicken is full of flavor, unlike anything I have ever had from a typical butcher. The market is well kept to the highest standard, unlike most markets the smell and service is great.

Great meat cuts, also specializing in middle eastern preparations and marinades. Halal. A little sample grill out front, between the smells and the taste tests, was driving people in like cattle(ooops!). It’s a medium-sized butcher with chicken, beef, and lamb mostly. About half the meat is done Middle Eastern style — kefta, shwarma, shish kabob — and a few different marinades. Service, like most newly opened places, is abundantly friendly and helpful. The checkout line looks a little like a bank teller, but no less friendly. I picked up some marinated chicken breasts to get started and will be back in a week or two to try some other things.
