I was down town over a month ago at the beginning of May, 2015 I came across this nice little shop, I decided to support the owners shop and purchase two t-shirts. The owner James tells me they don’t have my size in the shirts I liked. He says no problem you can pre-pay now and they will be in next week. Well first of all I live out in Rochester, not exactly close but I figured no big deal right? Honest business right? Well wrong and wrong. I contacted the business # James gave me to call on his business card. I left several messages over a two week period with no response. How professional to take someone’s credit card payment of $ 53.00 for two shirts and never contact them back. Then finally on

The store is tiny, but the apparel and souvenir’s get the job done. I highly recommend checking out their website to get an idea of what you are looking for ahead of time, then head down there and make your purchases. I picked out the Veteran Young Guy tshirt for my brother, it was impossible to pass up.(And of course got a Support Detroit woman’s tshirt for myself) Metered parking on the street is where I snagged a spot, but am not sure how hard it would have been to find parking if it weren’t raining and in the middle of the day. The gentleman behind the counter was a sweetheart and not at all intrusive. A definite place to go for Detroit-style gift ideas. A tad more of a variety and I would have given it 5 stars all the way, but I respect their authenticity.

If you are looking for a souvenir that is uniquely Detroit, this is your spot. My favorite part is that there is nothing overly commercial about the t-shirts or the store. The shirts are designed by the owner and he uses high-quality shirts so they hold up pretty well after several washings. My favorite part design, the Veteran Young Guy shirt. I might have to go back to buy a second one before I wear the first one out!
