It’s to pass the time. Who ever the bartender is they always make conversation. Don’t expect anything to fancy, stick with basic mixed drinks and beers. Ordered a lemon drop shot one time and litterally got vodka straight in a glass with a sugar rim and a lemon wedge .lol it was actually funny. We all know that waiting for bags can take a while especially flying spirit airlines… So relax and have a drink while you wait. Or don’t. Up to you

If you’re waiting to meet someone, there are not a lot of dining options outside the gate area in the North terminal. As far as airport bars go, Legends is okay. It’s small, well-lighted for a bar, serves overpriced drinks, but caters to the bored or impatient quite nicely. The bartender during my short visit was attentive but not annoying. He chatted with some, and based on the snippets of conversation I overheard, gave the impression there were more than just a few regulars here. I didn’t order food, but from the menu, Legends has the standard bar fare. As I waited for the flight to arrive, I watched the glazed expressions of my fellow patrons stare at the TV, the people at the baggage carousels, or at their smartphones, sometimes only to check the time, and then either order another round, or leave to meet, or catch, a flight. At first thought, having the only bar/restaurant in the baggage claim didn’t make a lot of sense. Now I think I understand the logic. If you have to wait for someone who checked bags, this is as good a place as any to have a bar. If you have to catch a flight, you might as well fortify yourself before you hit security and the crowded gate area.
