The cupcakes themselves were very tasty. Décor is ‘childish’ like bright colors and cartoons like it wants to appeal to girls 5 – 15. Cashier should engage the customer, not just stare and wait. Also, present yourself in line with what is appropriate to serve food, kempt hair, etc. They do validate parking for the Park Shelton structure. If you park there you have to make your way back to the storefront in a bit of a roundabout way.

Thinking this would be a great place to stop by for a relatively light mini cupcake(they have several varieties, visible through the window), I stopped in only to discover that you aren’t allowed to order them. If you just want a quick light dessert, your smallest options are a full-sized cupcake(under $ 3) or a 6-pack of minis(about $ 7). So that’s just silly. I wanted 2 minis and would have happily paid $ 1.75 each, maybe even $ 2 each for them. I would’ve rather had two minis for $ 4 than a bigger one for $ 3. But I was told this was impossible, against store policy, etc etc. As for the taste, they’re okay. I had a single samoa cupcake, which should have been amazing, since samoas are one of my most favorite things ever. Alas, I would have rather had a real samoa. The cake wasn’t bad, but the icing just tasted like a plain buttercream with little flavor. Which would’ve been fine if I’d wanted plain buttercream, but I wanted a samoa transformed into a cupcake — that’s the promise you make when you sell something called a «samoa cupcake.» A selection of 2 or 3 minis might have mitigated my disappointment if other flavors were better, but alas, that was not an option.

So disappointed! Had been looking fwd to tasty moist cupcake creations. instead I paid for day old dried out products. So cute to look at. Not worth the price.

Not as large of a selection as Just Baked but they have a neat/seasonal variety every time I walk in(with a changing menu). The gourmet cupcakes are huge and come in cute boxes, which are great to bring home to a special someone or for an office birthday! Service is great as well! I hope they have mini cupcakes and cards soon!

Yay! So happy for this place!!! I’m definitely in the running for girlfriend of the year award or something bc I realized less than 1 hour before my bf was coming that it was his birthday. And I had no cupcakes or candles.(Nor was his gift wrapped, but that’s another story.) –____– Luckily nom nom’s has both! AND they’re close to me! I picked up red velvet and hot fudge sundae cupcakes, which we both enjoyed. :) Pros! –they have candles!!! Thank god! –they have other things besides cupcakes –really delicious cupcakes –they have cupcakes with fillings in them! I wanna try their caramel apple cupcake and chocolate peanut butter cupcake –the cupcakes I ate weren’t grainy/powdery, which is something I consistently noticed in just baked cupcakes(and it drove me crazy) only cons I have are: –dry(which is prolly my fault bc i refrigerated them) –really sweet(remedied by eating without the frosting) –service is hit or miss(really great one day, severely lacking the next) Can’t wait to try more cupcakes from this place!

Nom, nom, nom! Stopped in one my way home from work and picked up a four pack they are delicious! The staff was helpful and happy to answer my questions. There was some sort of filling in each one that was really great. I think my favorite has marshmallow in the middle! Best of luck and welcome to the neighborhood.

Finally Nom Nom’s has opened on E. Kirby! I rode past a couple of times and got excited for a cupcake shop in the Wayne State area. Today I visited and it is the cutest cupcake shop I’ve seen lately. They offer over 100 different varieties of cupcakes on the menu. I have not freqented the other 2 locations, so I am new to Nom Nom’s. I went for the economical route. I bought cupcakes that were baked from the day before(like day old bread). They were offered at ½ off and packaged in the cooler. I felt confident in buying the variety pack offered. I tried the red velvet cupcake. It was moist and had cream cheese icing. In addition to cupcakes, they offer coffee. I grabbed a cup of joe and made my own concoction from the flavor bar they have. I went for the eggnog and cinnamon flavored syrups. The organic blend of coffee was a nice compliment to the cupcakes. The décor is fairy themed and colorful. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and gave good suggestions as I told them I was new. They sell t-shirts and logo mugs. They are in the same space at Detroit Pizza Co. and have a meal deal with them that includes cupcakes. They do wedding cakes and other baked goods(by advance order). I look forward to going back and trying some fresh baked cupcakes especially the Tequila Lime and Amaretto flavor when they are on the menu.
