I want to convey my deepest appreciation and thanks for all the help and support the crews of the 3rd floor and the PT and OT rehabilitation team at RIM gave me. Your level of professionalism from housekeeping, transport, food services, PCAs, RNs, PT and OT to the highest echelons was inspiring. Without you I would not have developed the motivation to properly advance myself. I have the highest respect for you all and your commitment to helping others with your knowledge and skills. I can’t express enough the 5 star AAAAA+++++ level of service I experienced. You should be proud of yourselves for you are awesome. Never once in my stay was I disappointed or lacking in service or care. I salute you all and will miss your smiling faces and pleasant and cheerful manner. I will visit you in the near future to witness my full recovery that was directly the outcome of all your efforts. A heart felt thank you to you all! David Orozco 341 – 1

I can’t say enough about their therapists. Absolutely the best!!! They did amazing ! My son was wheeled in not walking & couldn’t use his left arm at all, couldn’t shower, use the bathroom by himself ect. By the time we left he could do all of these things on his own. I will never forget the day my son walked into the room by himself after therapy. We had some really great caring nurses(Chris & Paula were excellent !!) One thing bothered me is that he had a night sitter & some were trained & some weren’t. When my son had to go to the bathroom they wheeled the toilet out to him, used an orange belt to help him get up and on the toilet, then wheeled him into the bathroom. One night one of the sitters just got him up & walked him in. No belt, no toilet. Not even slippers. I woke up & told her he had never been up walking yet & she said there is always a first. Night time made me nervous because I wasn’t sure who the sitter would be. There is a guy there who is great but can’t remember his name. This is the only reason I took away a star because this place really sets the standard for care for someone with a traumatic brain injury. The Doctor was great!!!(Dr. Ajuluni) I had read a lot about brain injury and fish oil and asked that he be put on it and he agreed and started it immediately. He was very caring towards my son and obviously was an expert on patients with TBSs. Food was awful– my son called it crapateria food… but he always was a picky eater. All in all I would send my son there again because we had such great results from the therapist !! Remember to be involved and advocate for your family member!

Excellent program for spinal cord injury. Not located in the best area. They don’t take medicaid in this specific program but other programs do throughout the hospital. Staff is nice and hospital is clean.
