Traveling from out of town & just happened to stop by. Easy to find location & the staff were super friendly. Loved that they played Christian music too! Items were well organized & didn’t seem overcrowded in the store. Although I walked out of the store with just two books. Still glad I went ;)

The selection of knick kacks is small and not that great. Not very organized. The furniture is usually in bad shape and not good looking. The clothing is where this place takes the cake it had a great selection. Lots of different styles and sizes for everyone. The staff is nice and helpful as well.

As a plus size woman it is so hard to find good clothes at thrift stores. This salvation Army has a nice size selection of plus size clothing, from slacks-to-jeans-to-dress. The store is large and quite. The pricing on the clothing is very reasonable on some of the housewares the prices is kind of high. But it is the best thrift store that I have found inside of Detroit. They usually only have one cashier sometimes two but never more than that. Their is one plus size girl who moves sooo slow and she never folds the clothes she just throws them in the bag.

I really like this place. It’s clean and fairly organized for a thrift store. I always find treasures here. The staff is really helpful. The Salvation Army in Livingston county used to be my favorite but this one comes very close.

It’s plenty big and clean, but I just can’t seem to score as clothes that are as good as the ones I find at Value World here. It takes longer to find them too. And I really miss the spray painted angry punk wearing a trench coat complaining about them selling a coat they got for free for $ 20 that used to be on the back side of the building. That used to really crack me up.

I like this place a lot. It’s huge, clean, and the staff is super helpful. I went for Ladies Night(Mondays from 4 – 7), when everything for women is 50% off. They also had all blue sticker items for 50% off.(Call for information about Mens Night and Kids Night). I scored some pretty decent deals and will be in here often. For $ 11.62, I got a nice Gap tunic($ 3.50), Max Azria(not BCBGeneration or anything like that) sweater(a mere $ 2.50), a cute, metallic off-the-shoulder sweater($ 2.50), and an AUTHENTIC Versace purse(ONLY $ 2.50!!!). They had cheap leather jackets in here(vintage and new) and nice cashmere and merino wool sweaters as well. You really do have to dig for the gems, but it’s truly worth it. Only issue is that parking can be a pain(this place is really popular, PLEASE expand the parking lot!).

This is a great salvo. Friendly employees you can have a conversation with, very clean and well-organized space in general, good prices, tons of stuff. Pertinent info: –They take visa and mastercard. –if you find an unpriced treasure, someone will usually price it for you, unlike the draconian Value World policy that would take that same treasure away! The horror. –Monday is «ladies’ night»: from 4 – 7 pm, all women’s clothing is half off. All of it. I just happened to be here on a Monday at 4, and needless to say, I was pumped when I heard the announcement. –At the end of a season, they will make all seasonal clothing half off. –They also have a men’s night, I think it’s Wednesdays from 4 – 7.

Bottomless prices, giant clothes selection, friendly staff. If you’re someone who would consider shopping at a Salvation Army Thrift store, consider shopping at this one. It’s SUPER large, has great prices, daily specials, and helpful staff. It’s mostly clothes, of course, but they have some furniture, kitchen and glassware, trinkets. Carole might be right about the mirror price, but I’ve found most of the kitchen and glassware to be dirt cheap. I recently picked up a pair of heavy-duty monstrous 34oz glass beer steins for $ 1.50 a piece. That’s an easy $ 15 retail for one, if not more. There’s no refunds on anything, but certain exceptions will get you in-store credit.

Dean was right on when he said this Salvation Army was cleaner and more spacious than any other location in the metro area. It’s well lit, doesn’t have the funky musk that some smaller thrift stores seem to get. There’s a nice security guy stationed by the door, but they’ve always been friendly and don’t lend the intimidating, «someone’s watching me» vibe that can happen when you find security guards at a spot you don’t expect to. Clothing is the name of their game here. The prices aren’t as dirt cheap as you might find in other resale stores, but the clothes are also higher quality as well. Every time I’ve gone, I have scored like-new pieces by good brands(limited, express, american eagle). There are two fitting rooms. The selection of housewares is ok, but a lot of them are priced much higher than need be.(standard bathroom mirror for $ 15? are you kidding?) But stick to the clothes, and you’re sure to find some steals.
