I have come here since they opened service and staff have declined steadily over the years I waited in line with six people ahead of me the cashier called the manager over for help all she did was pack one customers bag then abruptly disappeared I started to leave but really wanted my merchandise so I waited another 15 min I was so pissed the employees working here are very«Ghetto» I will not be back I now go to the Rochester hills location what a improvement in service and employees are much friendly.

They had a good selection of things. If I had more money, I would have bought a lot more. The area is not the best, but it’s worth the trip.

This is another solid Sal — always great finds and vintage goodies due to the area. I’m a regular here and had an interesting experience yesterday. I’m a sucker for original paintings at thrift stores, and I found a set of two paintings that I HAD to have. One was marked $ 9.99 and the other $ 4.99 — but they were both the same size and part of a set. I wasn’t going to say anything because, truthfully, I didn’t care about the price discrepancy. The counter worker took them back to the manger to see about it anyway. When she emerged from seeing the manager, she informed me that they were BOTH $ 9.99 — thus raising the price of the one marked $ 4.99. I paused, and replied with, «really? But it’s marked $ 4.99. You’re raising the price?» She was a bit surly, and I wasn’t in a mood to fight, so I willingly paid the extra $ 5 and went on my way. But I thought it was worth mentioning. I’m pretty sure that’s illegal in Michigan… Regardless, I bought an AMAZING swanky red velvet couch & chair for $ 71 out the door. I’ll include a photo.

This is my favorite SA store. They always run a 5 for 5 tag sale and sometimes they even have an 8 item for 5 dollar that they announce over the PA. The prices are not outrageous and I have found a few good things there. Last time I was there, I got a pair of Gap ballet flats for my daughter that had never been worn for 2 bucks and brand new mens work pants with tags still on for a dollar a piece. If something isn’t priced, an employee will price it and give it back quickly and they have let my daughter use the restroom in the back when we ask. The only issue is that parking is limited and I often park on the residential street next to the store. Other than that… Good prices. Good people. Good merchandise.
