As a new customer i didn’t know what to expect but with so many great reviews on Unilocal,i figured it had to be good. I was immediately greeted and sat down. Although there were not a lot of people there the place was very well kept and clean. I ordered the Thai Ginger with chicken and it delicious! ! Well seasoned and everything was sooooo fresh! You could taste the crispness of the carrots and celery. My only regret was not taking a pic of the beautiful plate begore devouring the food! I was then greeted by the talented cook who brought me fresh fruit. It really is refreshing to meet such nice owners :-) If i lived closer i would def come all the time!

I have gone to Mayuree for the past several years. As a vegetarian, it can difficult going to an asian-esk restaurant as many use fish byproducts(fish salt, fish oil, etc.) I so appreciate that Mayuree and her husband have be respectful of my requests. The Thai food is the best that I have ever had and I have had a lot of thai food. The ambience is ok, and it is a tough spot to find for those who are not familiar with the area. But my suggestion is to find it, and keep going back. A real treat !

Service was friendly and fast for takeout. Food was ready in 10 mins just as promised. Green curry was really good. They give more chicken, bigger mushroom pieces, and more intense spices than most other green curries around here; these were all positives for our taste. Basil had a better, more powerful flavor than most other green curries, as well. Good sized portion, leaving leftovers for tomorrow; A+++ Pricing was definitely a good value for the quality and portion size. I’d give them 4 stars overall in comparison to other Thai places I’ve rated at 4, but the awesome basil flavor gives them a 5.

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. On one hand, I LOVE it because it’s laid back and the food that I ordered was tasty. On the other hand, we went for dinner with friends and they both ended up feeling ill. I think it may have been the papaya salad, which they ate and we didn’t eat. But who knows, right? Went to Mayuree Café on Saturday night, before a concert at Valley Forge Casino. There were four of us, and we like Thai food, so Mayuree Café was our top choice. It got semi-good reviews on Unilocal, and was convenient to Valley Forge. First, it is, in fact, located in what looks like a tiny strip mall, but is a bowling alley. Parking is easy. .. right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant itself has about 10 tables(?). The restaurant is owned by a couple, with the wife cooking and the husband waiting tables. They appear to have no other staff. They also seem to do a very brisk takeout business, so be prepared for a long, long meal. That is, it’s a good restaurant if you don’t have to be anywhere. Service will be slow and it will take a while for them to bring the water, take your order, serve the dinners, etc. Just be patient. Of course, we had to be at the concert, so when we explained to the waiter that we were in a hurry, he was very obliging. It was very nice. We had the spring rolls and the shrimp with lemon grass soup for appetizer. Both were very delicious. The other couple also ordered the papaya salad, which we did not share. For my entrée, I ordered the rice with crabmeat(don’t remember the name of the dish) and the vegetable panang. Both were delicious.

Owner was so rude, I will never go back to this restaurant. I would give zero stars if it was possible.

LOVE this place. Go here for dinner when we are carving Thai. And we can go anywhere! The layers in the flavors are the real thing. Get the dumplings — best ever. You’ll wonder what you’ve been eating all this time. Just went on Friday with friends and everyone enjoyed their food. Well except one fellow who doesn’t like bean sprouts and his entrée was served on a bed of them. He ate around them and survived. And great portions — we all were able to take home leftovers(except the bean sprout guy:)). And the owner is a delight. Great atmosphere with linen on the tables, a little background music and a casual atmosphere. BYOB to boot.

Hit or miss place… the food for the most part has always been a hit. Service however, can make or break the meal. I became much more understanding when I discovered that hubby is doing most of the serving and his wife, the cooking. I do appreciate(and like to support) family businesses. The food is very flavorful and while the environment is nothing short of tacky, the menu offers unique and delightful options. Having eaten here several times, I recommend that first time diners try it when they are able to do an early dinner. An early-bird dinner will ensure you can have one of the specials(they sometimes run out) and that you can have more attentive service(I’ve seen them get packed on Saturday night). I don’t know that I drive a long distance to eat here but if you live on the mainline and enjoy Thai food, it’s a no-brainer to give Mayuree a shot. It’s a place that you probably never noticed(ugly strip center/bowling alley) but once you discover, will probably go back to again. FYI: they used to be in Wayne. You might remember them next to the Great American Pub years back…

This is a quirky Thai restaurant. It is a bit pricey, the décor is tacky, the service is mediocre and the location is strange. Having said all that, I like the down-to-earth service, the food is delicious, authentic and they are all cook perfectly. It is a husband and wife shop, the husband is a no nonsense, straight talking man. I like him, he will not sell you dishes that he won’t eat but he will also not take any unreasonable complaints from you. It’s like going to a friends place for dinner, don’t complain about the rack of lamb that is not well done when it is cooked perfectly medium rare. A lot of the items on the menu have been discontinued due to lack of demands. I asked why and he told me that he made them the authentic way and people in the neighborhood don’t like it. For example, the spring rolls he made contain dried shrimps and black Chinese mushrooms, it is authentic but the mainline crowd does not like it. Another example is the fish cakes, it is made from hand ground tilapia with lemon grass, again the mainline crowd does not like the bits of lemon grass. So instead of changing to recipe to suit the mainline crowd, he’d rather not sell it. It is bad for his business, but I like his attitude. I wish he’d bring back the spring rolls and fish cakes, they were awesome. I don’t go very often but they were all good every time I went, I need to go there more often. Try the duck in red curry, pad thai and crab fried rice. They are all VERY good.

This place seems a bit out of the place and time. The owner was very nice and attentive. I was disappointed by my pad thai — it tasted a bit oily, and didn’t taste the traditional pad thai I have had before. Also, for the ambiance and the food, it was a bit pricey.

Yeah… so the location isn’t that great and it is very very easy to miss but the couple here is sweet and the dishes are home made to order. It’s not my beloved Thai Orchid but it will satisfy a curry and filet mignon craving any day. Due to an unfortunate injury I am unable to cook and they were great about customizing spiciness and curries to how I usually make the dishes, which was very much appreciated since I was craving homestyle fare, not the typical, overly salty restaurant dishes. The curry potato chicken was sauteed nicely in a thick coconut and potato stew with tender chicken pieces and the filet mignon in a pine nuts-infused red curry was fantastic. I wasn’t really expecting it to be that great but the steak was tender and juicy and the curry was spicy and flavorful with the perfect amount of cream. The pine nuts really gave the dish a nice nutty twist. Will definitely replicate it once I can fully use my wrist again. Prices are great for the area and I don’t recall seeing a dish that was more than $ 21 – 23. We got takeout and that was ready when we arrived 30 min after calling so I can’t really speak to the dining in experience. Will definitely return to try the lamb dishes and the duck. Flavor wise it is not as amazing as Thai Orchid but the food is good and it’s a very solid Thai option on the main line without any of the elitist pretenses.

This place is run by a couple… so totally feels at home. They are super friendly! They are a little slow at serving food but hey, we can wait for good home made food. Good place to go with family and it’s BYOB. I have been there thrice, never dissapointed. Rice dishes are good and quantity wise a lot of food. I love the fried rice with crab meat. Just yummmm! Heard Tofu is good as well. So def worth trying this place. :)

Don’t let the bowling alley next door dissuade you from coming here! lol The food is good, the hospitality is warm. A few co-workers and I come here for lunch and usually after a 3 hour flight, and look forward to it when we get a chance. The rice dishes and curries are great and reasonably priced. I typically always order curries and am more of an adventurous eater, but the pineapple fried rice here is legit!

This place has great Thai food — highly recommend. I like the pad kra prao and pad pug guy. Soups are tasty. The owners are a couple and I find them charming. On occasion, this place gets super busy and they have a hard time keeping up. Take put from here turns out well.

Went back again and tried more dishes this time. Everything was super delicious. The quality is unmatched when compared with some other Thai fusion restaurants in and around Philadelphia. The fried chicken and Duck are really really good here. The fish cakes are made there and are awesome! The fried pastry with green-cream filling was so good! We’ll be coming back !

If you’re looking for Authentic Thai Food, this is a place for you! Fantastic food and BYOB at a reasonable price. The couple who run this business are so friendly. I live in Philadelphia for 2+ years but just discovered this place. It likes a hidden gem. You might drive pass it without noticing. It’s located next to Devon Lanes Bowling.

The food was so-so at best — too salty and not very memorable. It was too expensive for the quality of the food, but pretty reasonable for being on the Main Line. The Thai tea was good, though. It’s in an unfortunate location(next to a shady bowling alley), and the sign at the front was odd(«Two bites and you buy it!» or something like that). The waiter was friendly but kept urging me not to get married(even though I didn’t even bring it up) because, apparently, being married sucks. It was off putting. Overall, It was a very ‘meh’ experience, and I probably won’t go back unless I’m desperate for Thai food nearby.

Excellent place, great Thai tea, but I thought it was over priced. The food is very fresh, it takes a little bit of time to get because it is being prepared for you from scratch. The owner was extremely nice. I’d come back just for him. This place is also a BYOB.

By far the best Thai food I’ve ever had. They used to be located in Wayne, right next to the Great American Pub(and literally less than a one minute walk from the train station), but then the Pub bought them out in order to expand. So Mayuree Café moved to Devon. They now have about two times more space, but the location is definitely less convenient. Even so, it is worth driving a half hour just for their food. Mayuree’s Kiew Krop appetizer is a personal favorite. They are addictive little fried dumplings with a delicious dipping sauce – one of my all time favorite flavor combinations anywhere. Also, I’ve probably been there 15 – 20 times and have never had an entrée that was anything less than spectacular. The meat, rice, and vegetables are always cooked to perfection, and complemented especially well by their coconut cream curry sauces. My favorite main course is the Gang Garee(sp?) Gai. Plus it’s a BYO. You really can’t go wrong here! One quick word of warning: Call ahead! Though you don’t usually need a reservation, it’s a good idea to call ahead to make sure they will be there. It is just a husband and wife who run the entire restaurant, and they seem to take a few weeks’ vacation to Thailand at some point each year. Enjoy!

Mayuree Café is nestled next to a bowling alley, and is a somewhat recent addition to the area, barely a year old. They’re not terribly obvious from the road; the roadside sign only shows the alley(the chief attraction) while«Mayuree Café» can only be seen on the building itself. There’s plenty of parking. Their interior is clean, charming, and naturally lit. To, the owner — and our server! — was personable and brought our dishes(which his wife cooks) out with a smile. My tom yum($ 3 for just veggies; hot and sour soup with mushrooms and mixed vegetables, spices) was atypical, on the scale of tom yum soups across the Thai places I’ve been to. It was delicious, as was my pad kra prao(stir-fried ground chicken with red pepper, basil, and onions). They didn’t turn up the heat as much as I’d like but it was still a good lunch. Spent $ 13 for my entrée and appetizer, including tip and tax. Mayuree is great for what it is, where it is(a Thai restaurant on the mainline) — I would return for another lunch! Worth a try.
