A staple of the Dexter community. When I think of doughnuts, I think Faye’s. My dad would bring my brother and I to Faye’s before preschool each morning. I’ve been at it for a long time. Even better than Krispy Kreme!

Chances of you ever finding yourself in Dexter, MO are slim to none; I can understand that. But if you’re not beyond driving several hundred miles for one of the tastiest donuts in the entire world, then might I suggest this little secret trapped in the bootheel of Missouri.
They melt in your mouth. And they’re stupid cheap. People in Dexter know about them, and frankly, they’ve been smart to keep this place a secret.
And now I’m all wistful about a donut. Ah, me.
