We shared the Tuna Lover, Salmon Lover, Tofu and Vegetable rolls and all were delicious. The staff is nice and attentive, the restaurant and restrooms are clean. We’re lucky to have such a delicious sushi place so close to Chelsea! I also appreciated that low salt soy sauce was out on every table! Lots of gluten free options, too.

Sushi Time is a great place to grab Sushi if you’re in the Ann Arbor or Dexter region. The wait staff is kind, courtesy and attentive! The restaurant is clean and well kept. We’ve been back several times since visiting a month ago and have had good experiences each time! Would highly recommend!

The waitress was extremely nice when we dined in. They have a huge variety of sushi rolls and the big rolls are actually *really* big! I ordered the playboy roll and house salad — they were delicious and filled me up.

Hi all! Sorry to say I have to post what a bad experience I have had at this sushi spot not once but twice. I just moved to the area and opened an office right up the street. I was happy to find this sushi place so close by. Today I ordered the sushi deluxe off the regular menu. It was described as 7 pcs of sushi with California roll. What came out was a decent piece of Tuna and Salmon, a small piece of Yellow tail, a terrible piece of octopus(super chewy and briny, I actually like octopus when its of high quality), a piece of conch(again poor quality super chewy), a shrimp, and a piece of Tamago(piece of egg a little sweet). 2 ½ pieces of fish and 4 others… I wanted to ask the waiter«Luke» if this was their normal offering buy he kept walking back and forth past me. When I was finally able to flag him down he just looked at me… I asked«Is this your normal offering for the sushi deluxe?» He answers«yeah why» I say I am a bit disappointed at only 3 pieces of actual fish and 4 others. He points to the conch almost touching it and I say… its a shellfish… He replies with«fish». This guy was a younger american guy not like coming up with some sort of response other then a one word«fish» would be too much to ask for. I took him to be rather short and snotty. I say shellfish isn’t really fish to me… he says Sorry and walks away. He then does not return until he brings me the bill and says«anything else?» I say no … he says«sorry you didn’t like it» and turns and walks away. I think wow all this guy had to do was one give me a discount or two grab me a couple pieces of fish and I could have left and gone about my day. I am wondering what other sushi fans out there would have thought or done in my place. Hope this helps everyone. PS their ginger dressing for their salad is watered down and mayonnaise heavy… sounds like an oxymoron but they pulled it off… also the miso was extremely salty with little to no tofu or seaweed in it.

I love Sushi Time and love that it is in Dexter so close to my house. The Tempura Udon is really good! The broth is what makes it so good. It is well developed and full flavored just like what I had in Japan. Try the agedashi tofu! I recommend it. I also love coming by and getting their hand roll lunch special. It is a great value.

We ordered tempura udon, seaweed salad, eel and avocado, dragon roll, and berry fairy. Berry fairy was unique and refreshing. I enjoyed it very much and it was served at the proper cool temperature it deserved. I recommend coming here just to try that. They also have green tea mochi ice cream for dessert, but that will have to wait until next time. Seaweed salad was a generous portion compared to most other sushi places I’ve dined at. The complimentary salad had a nice ginger and mayo dressing on it. The miso seemed pretty standard.

I’ll be honest, I was reluctant to try a sushi place in DEXTER. Now here we are one year later and I can’t count how many times I’ve ate here. They’re fast(I often put it an order before a quick grocery trip next door), delicious, inexpensive and friendly. I love this place. THEYAREEVENOPENONSUNDAYSNOW!

Had a great experience here for lunch. Sushi was good quality, and service was fast. Lunch specials are decent prices/options too. I will def returning, I would even pick this place over some of the sushi places in downtown Ann Arbor.

First time ordering take out from Sushi Time. As an Asian who eats sushi often it was fine. I ordered the tempura shrimp, crunch roll, and miso soup. I found the rolls to be quite small compared to many other sushi restaurants I’ve been too. They tasted fine and were fresh. Put together well, not sloppy. Clean, friendly environment. If I wanted sushi without the hassle of heading to downtown Ann Arbor I would order from here again.

Sushi time is great! The all time best lunch combo is delicious. Soup, salad, and three rolls for under $ 10. What a deal. The waitstaff is always nice as well.

Friday night… felt like a sushi night to me… and found a four-and-a-half star relatively new place tucked into a former ice cream shop in the tiny hamlet of Dexter, Michigan. We could only laugh, as we were waiting to order, when a guy came in asking for a cone with 2 scoops of maple walnut! The sushi however, was right there. We tried a couple of their Signature Rolls including a «Dexter Roll» — a combo of shrimp tempura, cucumber, spicy tuna, some crunch and topped with both a spicy sauce and their eel sauce. A home run all the way. We also jumped for a «Salmon on the Beach». It is a big roll made up of crab, avocado, cream cheese, with a white sauce on it and a torch finish. At $ 10.99, it was also an exceptionally good tasting roll. Just as a basis of comparison, whenever I’m trying a new sushi restaurant, I always get a single, standard, stripped down Spicy California Roll to do a little benchmarking vs other sushi locales. This one was prepared differently than many I’ve had with the spicy sauce blended right into the crab instead of dabbed or squeezed on top. It scored a 9 out of 10 as one of the best standard issues I’d had. I’m throwing Sushi Time four stars this trip based on having a pretty standard stripped down menu but with outstanding, fresh, tasty rolls and a clean and pleasing décor. Will definitely be back to do Sushi Time again. Solidly recommended.

Sushi was very solid and nothing was bad. Service was nice. Atmosphere is more casual. Great for a more casual dinner out, but there may be other local sushi places of higher quality.

The waitress and sushi chef were very friendly. I went by myself tonight and just ordered a miso soup and the S13 — Ruby Roll. The soup was good enough, but I was not pleased with the freshness of the Ruby Roll. Something smelled a little ripe. I am pretty sure it was the crab. I might try them again while I am dog sitting in Dexter the next couple of days. If I do go… I’ll get a couple of simple rolls to find out if the tuna and salmon are fresh.

I seriously HOPE this place can make it in Dexter. In spite of walking in a half hour before they closed we received great, fresh rolls and courteous service. We had the Miso Soup, an Avocado Salad(yummy ginger dressing) and 3 different rolls and everything was truly fresh and delicious. This is a much needed restaurant in a town overly full of pub grub and pizza.

The name of this place now gets me excited. SUSHITIME! For over a year, I’ve searched for a go-to sushi joint around here and finally found it. I love this place because you’re not paying so much for the ambiance but high-quality sushi and friendly service. The sushi chef is the real deal. His spicy tuna roll may be the best tasting spicy tuna I’ve ever had. Get it. All the other rolls are colorful and fresh. The hot green tea and miso soup will warm your digestion in preparation for the sushi. There’s also Korean entrees available. The bibimbap was a great mix of flavor. The only thing they’re missing here is sake and beer. However, there’s a Busch’s grocery store in the same lot. Grab the booze and take food here to-go. A couple weeks ago, my wife and I did something we’ve never done at a single restaurant. We ate here twice in the same day: huge sushi lunches followed by Korean entrees for dinner.

What a pleasant, refined surprise here in Dexter with the addition of Sushi Time. Well, frankly, any new restaurant in Dexter that is NOT another pizza joint is a move in the right direction. Thankfully, Sushi Time succeeds and excels. Nice job on the lunch offerings. The Handroll special was well presented, tasty and screamed freshness. All the lunch specials come with a small salad and bolwl of Miso. Ginger dressing is spot on atop a nicely presented small bowl of fresh lettuce. Miso soup is delicious. There is an emphasis in specialty rolls. Quite a few to pick from with about every combination available. My daughter loves the Bento Box lunch. Great presentation and yummy. Lacking are choices for Nigiri Sushi(clump of rice with a nice slice of fish atop). Perhaps those options will evolve as the restaurant establishes itself and builds a following. That speaks to knowing the demand. I hope the menu grows some as I’m a ravenous fan of Ikura(salmon roe), Uni(sea urchin) and clam. Also absent are sake, beer or plum wine. I’m a fan and looking forward to Sushi Time being a fixture here in Dexter.
