I was helped by Troy. He provides the best customer service ever. He takes his time to explain everything to me about their products and to help me choose the best plan I can get. I am very satisfied at what I purchased. I will highly recommend everyone to go and ask for Troy.

My wife and I signed up with SolarMax. My sales rep was Troy. We were referred to him
by my brother in law. He would only recommend someone if they were trustworthy. So since
he recommended Troy to us, we were already one up. In addition, my wife did her own homework and came up with 2 other quotes (Solar City and Grape Solar). Overall, SolarMax had all the things we wanted. Troy gave us 3 different quotes (purchase outright, lease plan or pay as you go). We weighed all the options and we went with the purchase plan. We also
went with individual inverters so we can monitor it ourselves. The installers came and installed very quickly once we got the permit from the city. Prior to that they showed us the plans and how it was going to be installed. The next steps were pretty straight forward. Inspection was scheduled and paperwork turned in to Edison to get (PTO) Permission to Operate within a week (which is considered pretty quick).
You can also get referral fees if you have your friends sign up so in this case, my brother in law will receive a referral fee.

I signed up the Solar purchase program with SolarMax in July of 2013, the sales Troy was very knowledgeable and helpful with the solar products, he answered all my questions thoroughly so I trust his expertise and went on to sign the deal with SolarMax and I felt confident to have their service. Last year I received a true up bill from Edison saying that we owe them around $ 1,000 so I called SolarMax and talked to customer service and I also got the sales person Troy who originally sold me the system involved. They scheduled a crew to inspect my system found out that my half of the system did not work for 4 – 5 months and they repaired the issue on the spot, but I still owe Edison the money due to system not working. Guess what! SolarMax refunded me for the system loss based on their projections even the service rep told me the production is not guaranteed with purchase option at that time. At first I was kind of upset now I feel much better because SolarMax truly stands up for her customers and take care of them!

Do not use SolarMax! If I can pick 0 stars, I would. They would lie to you to get you to sign the contract. I was promised a mini from their sales rep if I signed up with them. I have texts proving it yet the manager and director of the company won’t honor it because it’s not on the contract. I truly believe this is fraud. The sales rep deliberately lied to me to get me to sign up. Never believe a single thing from this company. Anyone that wants to know the details, feel free to provide me their email address.
