If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place. No frills and family run(so the service may not be the best), the food is awesome! The margueritas are also great. If you are in a hurry, save this place for another time. I gave it 5 stars for the food(not the service). There were only 3 people working & they were working hard, but the place was packed(good indication of how good the food is).

Food was some of the best Mexican I have ever had. Margaritas were outstanding as well. However, the service is pretty poor. As long as you don’t mind waiting, this place is definitely worth it.

What a great find! Really yummy tacos and burritos. They also had really good looking pastries. Mmmmm. Maybe next time.

This is a place you need to find. We found this when a friend took us out for lunch. We have been back many times since! Food is authentic and very tasty, service is fast and friendly. Again this is place you need to find.

Authentic! No frills, just dang good food. Salsas are super flavorful with a good amount of spice! Great service. Try it — you won’t regret it

Tripe tongue carnitas barbacoa and buche were all great! Tasty not salty, all diverse flavours. Horchata and melon juice both delicious. Great attentive and happy service. Would go out of the way again. Tacos all 2.50 each

These tacos were legit! The place was a bit shaggy but the one waitress we saw was very nice and it didn’t have much seating but their street tacos were on point, one of the betters ones I’ve had and in the middle of a mountain town of all places, what a surprise! 4 tacos for 8 bucks ain’t bad considering how far away from the city we were. If you want good street tacos, come here! Warning though, the red sauce has a good kick and the green sauce is almost sweet. Also the Horchata wasn’t terrible either but a bit pricey for what it is.

Spicy salsas and mediocre quality tacos. Not many other options around so it blows away places like Dos Locos. $ 4 imported beers and they carry Modelo and Tecate brands. Service took forever considering I was the only person there. Over 10 minutes just to order a beer. The tacos here aren’t anything like what you’d get on the street in Mexico. Lacking in flavor, low quality ingredients, no Mexican limes. The asada wasn’t grilled and the al pastor wasn’t browned at all either. I expect taco bell to start serving something similar any day now.

Oh the holes in the wall, how I like thee. Ok, why would anyone go to a place with lackluster interior in the oddest building? Well, because the tacos are delish, margaritas are tummy and the place has baked Mexican treats for after. The tacos are great — al pastor, lengua, pollo. The ceviche is quite a treat as well as guacamole. Worth the drive from ski areas. Service is mediocre but the food makes up for it!

If you’re craving tacos, don’t go anywhere else. COMEHERE! Legit tacos even better than most places I’ve been to in my hometown(Austin). It is also a Mexican bakery too, in case you’re craving some sweet bread.

The best Mexican food you can get in the mountains. We rolled in here about 7pm after a long day on the slopes, ready for some spice in our life. And boy did we get it. Tacos come with two salsas that will kick your butt! Some of the spiciest stuff I’ve had in a long time… And I’m from California, land of Mexican food. Awesome(strong) margaritas as well. Good prices, and authentic taste. Don’t judge a book by its cover, it’s located inside a community center/bowling alley(?) but it’s a hidden gem. Don’t miss out.

Just went back for the 2nd time. Had lunch a few days ago and have been wanting to go back ASAP. Tacos are excellent. I recommend trying a few different kinds but if you get 4 of the same its only 7.75 Also when you are done eating grab a tray and load it up with pastries. You will know what I’m talking about after watching people fill them up the entire time you are there. Not sure yet how much they are but we got a good bit and it was less than 10.00 This place is authentic Mexican.

Their tacos are absolutely fantastic. But the best part is that their pricing is extremely reasonable. Four loaded tacos for $ 7.75! Our server was very polite. However, the menu is mostly in Spanish. Don’t be afraid to ask for help!

Holy shit. What a gem! This place has some amazing tacos all of which are served on authentic corn tortilla. I got Barbacoa, cow tongue, skirt steak, and a pork belly taco. All of which were unbelievable, they rocked my taste buds. The margaritas come in huge glasses and they have a spicy tomato and beer drink called a michalada* which is just awesome. The michalada was also served in a huge glass. Do yourself and your friends a huge favor and grab this instead of nasty mountain food. The service was super friendly and our waitress was a cutie. I will definitely be back. For some reason this and chimayo are big hits. Also it’s not expensive. Ps designate a driver. A sober driver the drinks kick hard.

A must, the best authentic street tacos I’ve had in Colorado or anywhere yet! The salsa is super spicy but you have to get passed it and try the tacos they are to die for!

I aways wanted to try this place but they close at 8pm and I usually go bowling at 9. I started with a pacifico beer($ 4) chips salsa($ 2.75) then had 3 street tacos two chicken one beef($ 2.25 each) and side guac($ 3). Service was good, food delicious nothing frozen all fresh. There is even a bakery there that has Mexican baked good cheap $ 1 per item! Def recommend this place.

Impressive! We were looking for a taco place on our way back to Denver from skiing, and came across the reviews for this place. Some of the reviews are a little harsh, but we decided to stop by anyways. I have NO clue what the people who gave one star reviews were thinking. This restaurant is very authentic. One reviewer said she felt like she was in Mexico — but WHY is that a bad thing when you’re eating Mexican food? The tacos were maybe the best tacos I’ve found in Colorado — and I’m a Texan. The 4 for $ 7.75 deal is GREAT. The staff was great, and the service was quick. The place was a little dirty, which is why I’m not giving five stars. If you’re looking for real, authentic Mexican food, this is the place for you. It’s definitely not a fancy, high-end Mexican restaurant you would find in Denver. In my opinion, it’s better than those kind of places. Great experience!

Poor quality food that is way overpriced. This can’t possibly be correctly reviewed by others?! This abandoned strip mall had a very dirty looking restaurant. It actually looked like I was in a random place to eat in Mexico?! There were actual flies I needed to swat while eating. We were starving and at the point of no return leaving us no choice but to eat while cheesy Spanish soap operas played on the TVs. I would earn anyone who saw the four and a half stars to beware that they will be fooled by the food and robbed of their money! I had the enchiladas in a red sauce that tasted like burnt chipotles and was filled with some imitation tasting cheese. The rice was super dry and the lettuce and tomatoes were definitely not fresh. The shocker was that I paid almost $ 14 for this crappy meal!
