Okay so, if you want the MOST amazing Philly cheesesteak, search no farther. This is real yes real meat with all the fixings on amazing fresh bread. My husband Haden’s had one this good in 20 years! Yum!!! While this place isn’t much to write home about, they know how to serve up the Philly cheesesteak!

Extremely friendly staff! Fantastic sandwich, meat and prepared foods counter. Try the meatballs, they are the best on the mountain. I have never waited in line because of the lottery and never more than a few minutes anyway. Kim A

I went there this morning to get some breakfast sandwiches, they screwed them up and when I asked for my money to be refunded because I don’t want the sandwiches the owner continued to argue with me over $ 6.00 insisting that I was lying and I asked for Ketchup on my sandwich. PS I HATEKETCHUP!!! Needless to say they have now lost a customer :) There chicken is not good either, we got mash potatoes there that tasted like Vinegar. not very customer friendly. I would recommend Arnolds, farther down the road but a much better atmosphere!

Best subs ever… chocked full of meat… just make sure you are specific what you want on it. The first time there we ordered two Italian subs to go and when we got home there was nothing on it but meat :-(. Also love their eggplant parmagiana and stuffed peppers. Great food.

I am not happy I went in to get change for the laundry mat next door cause I did not want $ 5.00 in quarters the lady was very rude and said I don’t give change if you don’t buy something. I said nicely I was just in buying snacks while waiting for my clothes to dry. She refused to give me 5 singles I think that was not nice. I will not go back to that store. I go in there often when I do my laundry and they are very nasty and the lines are long.

Lakeview is a very clean, well stocked grocer with a fine meat counter and deli shop. It stocks all the basic staples and snacks, lottery tickets, best priced cigarettes in town and some real iffy produce that I do not recommend buying because it looks a tad old and bruised. Also, almost every time I come here the cashier is on line(yes you read that right) buying tons of lottery tickets which holds the line up for up to 10 minutes. That written, the store is also extremely clean, bright and maintained. The meats are really of excellent quality and they make an excellent sandwich and have some delicious summer salads, potato, macaroni, slaw… The problem here is the deli is at times over extended and the wait can be long and the deli workers are not very knowledgeable and seem to be untrained. They know how to make an excellent sandwich but don’t ask them what cut a piece of meat is or how lean the chop meat compared to the regular chop meat. You’re answer will be, «it has less fat». You’re best off just pointing and asking for«that piece». These are not butchers which is sort of sad because the meats are really top-grade. The other obvious problem is the cashier service. The line can wrap around the store with just one cashier working the lottery ticket purchasers and food shoppers — while a vacant register sits idle just a few feet away. There is no back up and Pennsylvania residents love their lottery tickets and the wait can be very long as the widow McKenzie plays all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s birthdays. Yet I have to say, unquestionably, the lady working the register is very nice and funny and patient. It’s very odd though waiting on a long line while one person rings everything up and the rest of the staff stares blankly into space. But all in all, this is a fine establishment with a friendly, clean staff that may not offer the best service but sure make up for it with harried friendliness and humor.
