Yes, I am about to write a review on Dollar Tree. Hopefully, it will soon become clear why… This place is a NIGHTMARE!!! An absolute freaking NIGHTMARE!!! Seriously. It is THE dirtiest, THE dingiest, THE most neglected Dollar Tree location I have ever seen in my entire life!!! Honestly, this place rivals a hole in the wall in a third world country.(I’m not being funny, crude, or insensitive. I’m actually describing the conditions as they really do exist in this store.) The carpets are absolutely filthy and covered(literally!) with huge black stains(from ceiling leaks? spills? I don’t know!). The food items seem… less than fresh. Everything about this place is bleak, dank, and disgusting. The only redeeming quality is that most of the staff has seemed pleasant on the few occasions I’ve popped in. Bottom line is, I think the people who shop here deserve more. I mean, I pop into this store to get convenience items for cheap. Need pens for a group activity? Dollar Store. Want reams of toilet paper for the«wedding dress game» at a bridal shower? Dollar Store. Need a super cheap gift bag? Dollar Store. I don’t actually«shop» here for life’s necessities, but I see people every time I go who really do seem to depend on this place for their week’s groceries, their kid’s toys, or what have you. And I think they deserve better than this!!! I honestly can’t imagine that anyone from corporate headquarters has viewed this particular store without shutting it down and declaring it an immediate state of emergency. To the extent that’s not true, then I have nothing left but to conclude that this is being allowed because its patrons are mainly poor black and brown folks who don’t deserve to shop with decency and dignity in their own da*n neighborhood. :smh:
