Nemo Seafood

Nemo Seafood is quite the eyesore (outside and inside) but the food is ¹⁰⁄₁₀. My grandmother heard good things about this joint, so we stopped by to pick up two whiting dinners for herself and my mom. Of course the place looks tragic (peep the pics) once you enter, but they had a steady flow of traffic from patrons calling and walking up on Saturday afternoon so I assumed they had to be doing something right. However, my boughie radar prevented me getting a meal here myself, so I simply kept the order restricted to my mom and grandmother. Plus, I saw that they had a picture of Nemo (from Finding Nemo) on the wall and I just couldn’t. Lol like really yall?
The food was ready in about 15 minutes from ordering. We got home and my grandmother offered to share some with me because the portions were pretty large. Of course, once I made it home my boughie radar had no need to go off… I was in comfort. I leaned in, smelled the fish and it was a done deal… I got me a plate!
Lol. I sampled literally her entire meal save for the coleslaw (not a fan) and wowwww. I guess they have a hookup with all of the Nemos of the Atlantic… b/​c this fish was on point! It was so good that next time I’m in the Forestville/​DH areas I might have to slide through for a minute, and turn down the boughie radar lol.
Moral of the story: hood shack = good food.
