Russ’ Place

Pretty disappointed! The food was actually good so this review is more about the rest of our experience. The bartender (long red beard) was our server & I’m not sure if that’s a regular thing but let me just say, serving food is NOT his thing. We ordered a burger and wings. I asked him about the burger and he said «I don’t know, I’m a vegetarian»… Awkward. Minutes later I heard the table next to us ask about the same burger and he says «Its soooo good!». Food took quite a while. Another guy finally brings us our food but it’s only half the order. When I asked about the rest he ran to the kitchen and came back. Very apologetic and said they had to turn the burners back on and it would take a while. It did. Just an odd experience. I left thinking, yeah I don’t think I am coming back here.

We only stopped for beverages but the staff was very friendly and helpful — locals recommend them for the burgers.

A very comfortable and cozy place to hang out, Its like going to one of one of your friend’s home for beer and wings, Great Rubens too!

We’ve been curious about this place for a few years and finally stopped in. We sat at the bar and one of the colorful friendly locals said,“Welcome”! Russ was extremely friendly and thanked us for stopping by. We had two bottles of beer, two Bacardi and cokes and an order of green chili cheese fries. With tax it came to $ 21. Not bad. There’s an outdoor seating area that would be nice to hang out at on warmer days. I really liked this place and will be back.

Stop here regularly from Colorado Springs to my camper up in Divide. Wonderful local bar, friendly folks, EXCELLENT burgers, onion rings and wings, and you get the entire wing, not pieces! Highly recommend.

This place is continuously improving in atmosphere and food and has become my favorite place for a beer and snack in the area. I live just down the road. The wings are full size, grilled outside and very delicious. The cheese fries with green chili are awesome! They also have red chili. Most the food is cooked outside and they take pride in making tasty food. The service can be slow when they are busy but they are always friendly and make you feel like you are a regular. There are 3 huge tvs so this is a great place to catch games and races.

Excellent drinks, food (lunch AND breakfast) and atmosphere. Once you visit for a while, you’re a friend forever.

This is an amazing place to eat. Very fresh food. The burgers and brats have great taste. We have been a few times and have had good service, always a smile. Highly recommended. I also enjoy the décor, very casual but interesting.

The sandwiches are good but I feel they are a little expensive for the quality.
