Community Hospital At Dobbs Ferry

Do NOT go here. This filthy hospital is a disgrace. I came into the ER with severe pain from a lodged sharp object in my throat. There was a complete lack of urgency on the staff’s part. Very lazy, rude and unprofessional. Everyone moves at a snail’s pace. The nurse «helping» me rolled her eyes, was on her phone and was listening to her headphones. The doctor was very unprofessional, answered very shortly and did not explain anything at all. I had to leave the room multiple times and go out of my way to ask her simple questions. She was sitting at her desk behind the counter shooting the breeze with the nurse. The doctor and nurse acted as if it was an epic chore to answer basic questions, which was surprising since I was the only person in the ER at the time. Also, the bathroom is disgusting. There was hair all over the sink, fingerprints on the mirror and dust everywhere. I wouldn’t let the nurse poke me with the needle to help with the pain because I thought she was incompetent and the hospital was unsanitary. I just got up and walked out to go to another ER. I do not know how this place allowed to practice medicine.

I would give it a zero! One star is too good for them! The nurses could care less about the patient. They actually ‘roll their eyes’ when asking for help! WORST hospital care ever!!! A disgrace! The staff are lazy and could care less ! Would NEVER recommend!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I went there tonight to have something simple checked out that was bothering me. The doctor and the nurses were making comments and faces to each other in front of me regarding me being there and why I was there. I have never been to a less professional hospital in my life. The doctor was cold and she seemed like she didn’t want to be there and made me feel like I was bothering her by coming to the ER. Do not go to this crappy little hospital.

I just had my first colonoscopy at this hospital, as this is where my GI specialist operates from. It was great (or as great as such a procedure can be…) Friendly and efficient staff, very clean, and I was in and out quickly. Oh, and they have free valet parking, which helped my friend and me to get out of there easily. I feel very grateful that the staff made my experience — about which I had been pretty apprehensive — go so smoothly. Big difference from a big regional or City hospital.
