Reservation link went through with confirmation. Got there and found it closed for renovations. That sucked.

Samosa Café is a great family-run place that serves«naanwiches»(sandwiches made with naan, a type of flatbread) and samosas(a type of filled savory pie) with diverse stuffings among other things. We tried the chicken tikka and vegetarian naanwiches, and found them to be freshly-made and spiced optimally. Their samosas are not fried(as is traditionally done in India) but are baked. This makes them a healthy snack without compromising on the flavor. The owners were great and served us with enthusiasm.

Certainly best food in the Rivertowns, possibly best in Westchester. Everything we ordered was extremely flavorful, unique and fresh. If you like spicy hot food but are often disappointed by local places who dumb down the heat, you’ll be happy here. The wild boar vindaloo meat pies were almost too hot for me to eat. If you don’t like heat, nothing to worry about as most dishes are not that hot. Also everything seems to be as low fat as it can be. The one salad choice was fantastic. The owner let us taste whatever we wanted such as the Pig Tail Soup. This was excellent and I ordered it. For dessert we were given on the house Indian milk balls covered in simple syrup, crushed pistachio and well done bacon. One of the best deserts I’ve ever had anywhere. Don’t forget to BYOB and have on of the best and cheapest meals of your life. There are also some crazy dishes for kids like MacNCheese with Fruit Loops.

Somosa in downtown Dobbs Ferry is a small, take-out oriented place, although it does have a number of tables. Not everything in the printed menu or large chalk board is available every day, but the featured items are called«samosa mini-pies.» Owner Nick was friendly, and the complimentary sample of Cayenne Bourbon coffee was as hot(and delicious) as it sounds, but unlike traditional fried samosa patties, the baked versions here have a noticeability thick(even, too thick) dough. Venison Vindaloo was suitably spicy and like the much milder Chicken Tikka Masala(which had far more rice than chicken) and vegetarian Potatoes and Peas, stuffed full. A trio of tasty dipping sauces typical of Western«Indian» restaurants was included in our order, and Nick indicated that although many of the pies are sold at farmer’s markets, plans are in the works to expand store hours into breakfast and desert, maintaining the eclectic South Asian, East Asian, Caribbean and North American influences; we plan on stopping back to see what happens!

While not«traditional» Indian food, the flavors are amazing! Get the crab naanwhich and the pork belly naanwhich, you will be delighted and amazed all rolled into one! They also have a stall at the Hastings Farmers Market, which is cool!

Dining here is a truly delicious experience. The owners have a unique blend of West African and Indian flavors. Everything comes either in a little samoss pie or naan wrap. It’s out of this world yummy! We had the freshly made mint ice tea, two off menu specials(saag paneer samosa pie and an amazing pork belly naan wrap). My mom had the bacalao potato naan wrap and my daughter had the chicken tikka masala. They were all great but the specials had more sauce and were amazing! We will definitely be back to this one of a kind gem. There’s absolutely nothing like it anywhere in the rivertowns!

We went back for more take out! This time we ordered the Jamaican jerk spicy samosa(amazing) and the shepherds pie samosa(even more amazing). I’ve never had shepherds pie outside my Irish relatives and this was great! We also ordered the gmo free ginger beer and butterbeer — the kids loved them both. The ginger beer was a wee bit spicy but good. My daughter had the chicken curry samosa and that was fabulous too. Delicious local food and the owner was personable and fun to talk to!

I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am that I found this place. The food was excellent! It is pretty rare when I leave a place and my mouth keeps watering from the amazing flavors. I had the Chicken Tikka naanwhich and the wild boar pie. They gave me a taste of the venison on the house. They were all super tasty. I left full, satisfied and really really happy. Nice people, great place, great food! I can’t wait to go back.

I stumbled upon this little gem during one of my many walks. I was totally pleased not just with the food but the owners who are very welcoming. So far I have had the potato samosa outrageous. The boar samosa was also as delicious. Just had the jerk pork salad and gumbo which was very flavorful. I look forward trying every single choice on the extensive menu. You need to put this place on your bucket list you will not be disappointed.

The food was delicious and the scene comfortable and quaint. You must try the wraps, they are fresh and well seasoned with just the right amount of spices. Also, the meat pies are tasty for the drive home. I’ll be back!!!

We had seen this place for a few weeks and wanted to check it out. We happened to go on a weekday after 9 pm thinking that it was probably closed. To our surprise, it was open and we were delighted. The owners are very nice worldly-wise and friendly and the food is absolutely amazing and fresh. We had a combo for just $ 8.99 with their free coffee. We had a chicken tikka samosa pie and a veggie naanwich. The naanwich comes with quite a variety of exquisite sauces that they make from scratch and combine flavorfully. We will definitely come back!
