Came here with a group. Very intimate dinner and the food was amazing. I had the prime rib, friends had the special which was Duck. Food was spectacular. Prime was«melt in your mouth» good and cooked to perfection. Nephew had the chicken fried steak platter and was more than an 15 year old could eat. We got two of the desserts to share. Wish we would have gotten all of them. If you are in the area, stop in and experience some great food.

Great small town restaurant in a retro fitted bank from the turn of the 20th century. Limited crafty wine and beer menu. Wonderful for lunch but even better for steaks on the weekend night. The husker cut certified angus prime rib is the bomb as well was the Amish raised chicken with polenta, pesto & roasted roma tomatoes. Was happy to see such fresh produce being used and from scratch baked goods in this rural area. Thoughtful detail to the cozy décor. A cool road trip date place. Lunch is way under $ 10 and some of the certified angus steaks hit about $ 30 but it includes everything you need.

Amazing food. Something you don’t typically get in a small town. Made the 45 minute trip there and it is completely worth it. First the grab cakes started it off tremendously. I had the fish and chips, beautifully cooked, quality fish. Best i have had state side. My girlfriend had a smoked salmon dish that was also great! Nice atmosphere… Make sure to get a reservation or you might not get in! Definitely will be making a return trip.

We were looking for a fun little café on a Sunday road trip out to the family farm. Eat delivered, and more! The restaurant used to be a bank, and so the details of the building were fascinating! And, the food! Hubby and I had amazing burgers and fries. Desserts looked SOGOOD, but we were stuffed! Highly recommend. I want to stop by for dinner on our way home… :)

Stopped here for breakfast a few Saturdays ago and was very impressed with the food. I had the classic breakfast of Biscuits and Gravy. The chef puts a twist of the gravy which really was a nice surprise and an incredible flavor. Also had one of the pancakes with thier own toffee syurp. This was huge and very good. The Chef came out after a bit and asked how everthing was and we had a nice chat with him. If you are looking for a great breakfast in an out of the way place I highly reccomend you give this place a try. We want to make the trip back some time soon for Dinner as well. Can’t wait to go back again! I hope the people of Dodge and the surrounding areas realize what a gem they have in thier own back yard!!!

This little hole in the wall is a fantastic gem in an unlikely place. An old bank building that had been closed up for about 70 years, then tastefully redecorated. The first impression is that it is small, but after being there a little while I would describe the feeling as cozy. The menu is not your typical«small town main street«fare. You will be pleasantly surprised I think. Our party of ten on a Friday evening was accommodated by a reservation beforehand. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. First of all I was able to enjoy a ginger beer soft drink that I haven’t tasted in a while and don’t typically see on the menu around these parts. I ordered the rib eye steak. Fresh baked bread was served which I enjoyed with a rosemary infused olive oil.(I am guessing at that) The salad that was brought out was absolutely without compare to anywhere I have been before! A perfect sized romaine heart dressed with a very tasty dressing. When they brought out the main course I noticed the presentation was beautiful. The broccoli was perfectly green and arched over the steak which was grilled to perfection with a brownish/black crustiness. I had the polenta which was super tasty and a great alternative to ordinary potatoes. If there was a 4.9 stars option that would be my choice. The only deduction from a solid 5 stars is due to the fact that — and I did not even notice until my meal was served– the waitress did not ask how I preferred the doneness of my rib eye steak. About half way through the main course one of my friends asked about the steak and I realized it was almost exactly as I would have ordered if they would have asked. Possibly just a slight bit more done than what I would call perfect for my taste; but ever so slightly that I thoroughly enjoyed it! The outside was seared to perfection which kept it super juicy and the quality of beef was excellent. What else can I say? After the meal the owners/cooks? came out and asked us how we enjoyed the meal. I thought that was nice that they care enough to ask. I had the Moroccan vanilla ice cream for dessert and it had a slight saltiness that was most pleasurable. I am sure I will return and bring friends or family to share this gem that is so close to home.
