I read a few reviews giving very drastic feedback of this place. Honestly, I had a good experience since I arrived… without an appointment, Mimi was VERY nice and helpful and found a space for me quickly. Martita was great… I even forget all the things I had plan to do today because I was very relax. I love my Shellac Manicure. Just have in mind the salon don’t have the big Spa chairs, but this could work for those that want their hair done while the manicure simultaneously. Definitely I will come back.

The staff is nice so I genuinely wanted to love this place… Really was a waste of $ 55
When I got home and was able to see my nails in better light I wasn’t surprised my nails looked so bad. I think I had more paint on my skin than on my actual nails. Corners aren’t clean, coats of color aren’t even, and she even left some of my old polish so you see green coming out of the edges of red paint. I know. Terrible. The lady was too rough. I don’t recall ever being so scarred during a mani pedi. I guess she didn’t wrap my nails correctly with foil to remove the old paint so most of it was still stuck to my nail. She decided it was a good idea to scrape it all off and bang up my hands in the process because she was moving too damn fast. My feet were so bad I had to go get another pedicure to fix the mess she made. I had red all over the place and whatever she used to buff the bottom of my feet destroyed them and left my skin extremely rough and flakey. Like I said nice staff but that’s about all you’ll get here

This is my first extremely negative review as well as experience at a salon. When choosing to come, I based everything on the positive reviews on Unilocal and the fact that it was so close to work and open late. Mimi, the owner, was even sweet enough to offer me $ 5 off when I first booked my appointment for a gel mani and a pedicure, which I thought was an awesome way to start. Open late, great reviews AND a discount without asking? What more could you want?
Much to my surprise, all the good that started quickly ended in regret. I hate to rain on everyone’s parade below me, and I’m not sure if maybe it was just a strike of bad luck, but the woman who attempted to do my nails was absolutely the worst I’ve ever had. While she was nice and made for good conversation, my gel manicure came out so atrocious that I needed to ask her to just stop my pedicure, take off my gel polish and let me go home because I was so upset. Besides the bubbles, streaks and even missed spots, she painted all over my cuticle and skin, thus meaning that 1) my polish would surely lift in less than three days and 2) she absolutely had no clue how to apply gel nail polish. When I pointed out the mistakes, she blamed the lighting and told me I needed to tell her when I saw something wrong because she couldn’t see…
If you’re a professional, I shouldn’t have to tell you how to do what you’re licensed to do. I tried very hard to keep a happy composure, but after an hour and a half, I left there with half a pedicure and destroyed hands. Why destroyed? Because after I politely asked her to remove my gel polish that she incorrectly applied, she decided to take out her anger and frustration out on my nails and nearly scrape off all the layers. Coming payment time, she wanted to charge me THIRTY dollars for leaving there unhappy and with NO polish on either hands or feet. After kindly expressing to her that it was not okay with me to charge that much, and after she threatened to bring Mimi, the owner, up to the front, she finally «settled» for $ 20.
I hate to be this bad reviewer, and I waited hours after cooling off to write this, but honestly I could not be more disappointed about this experience. I do not recommend. I should have known better when I was the only soul in the salon on a Friday right before a holiday. Never again.

Best keratin I’ve done! The service is great and their prices are not high. I would definitely recommend it for a keratin treatment or a quick blow dry.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! the first time I visited I got my hair done with Shannon. She was sweet and very cool. She styled my hair beautifully. The second time I made an appointment I wasn’t able to do it with Shannon (she only works on Fridays and Sundays) so I decided to try someone new. Yari did my hair. She was friendly, and charismatic. I’m very happy I found this place in Doral.

Still amazing! I went in February to change my look from brassy orange and red hues to a natural brown color. Mimi knew just what to do and much hair looked natural!
A couple months later, (around October or November 2015) I went and told mimi I wanted another change. I had been wanting to go blonde for a while, and I was never able to because of dark colors. My hair had grown out a large amount since i chopped it off, so she did it for me perfectly! It came out amazing and took her time to make sure I was HAPPY.

Amazing group of young ladies, made me feel so comfortable. I worked in for a trim and walked out with a haircut, color, pedicure, and manicure… Mimi, Gladys, Paola, and Carmen… What a great collaboration of young talented women. Thank you all so much for making me feel at home and leaving there feeling amazing! The prices are unbeatable, the service un-​comparable. I’ll be seeing you all again in a few weeks! I just moved to Doral and was looking for a close place to get my hair done. I googled around and saw that MImi’s had great reviews so I made an appointment. I can see why they have such nice reviews. As soon as I walked in, (I’m assuming it was Mimi), greeted me with a warm welcome. She is like your cool aunt that your happy to visit (side note). Maria did my highlights and trim and she is a doll. The highlights look so good. Very pleased with the whole experience. Another major plus is their convenient hours.

I had an amazing experience at this salon! I had my hair colored (the ombré) with Patricia. She also cut layers and styled it. She was hilarious and super efficient (without making me feel rushed or like she wasn’t doing a good job). She even left for a second to buy a coffee just because I mentioned that I was craving some. I also had a gel mani and a pedi with Gladys. She was extremely accommodating (I didn’t make an appointment with her) and she fit me into her schedule in between clients. Mimi was also very attentive and sweet. Their customer service was amazing and not to mention the work itself. From my hands to my feet to my hair (oh and I had my eyebrows done too with Gladys!) was just excellent. I will definitely be back!

So, I’m still a fan. Best price in town from the length of my hair. However, they have changed their prices. It is now $ 25 for hair above the chest and $ 35 for hair below the chest as of this month. Womp Womp…

I love this place because they open early so I can get my hair blown before work. The staff is friendly, the salon is clean and the prices are affordable. Ask for Gladys, she blow dries my hair and does a great job at it.

I was in desperate need of color and a good blow dry but only had availability after 8pm. I called and Mimi scheduled my appointment right away. She was so welcoming when I walked in and didn’t try to rush me in and out. She knew the exact color I needed and has lots of experience with my type of thick, curly hair. I’m so happy I found a place that caters to my hectic life and work schedule. Excellent place for professional women. I love my hair!

Mimi is a rare find around these parts! Knowledgable, courteous, willing to take the time and do the job right IN A HEALTHY WAY! =^_​^= I have been getting horrible acrylic jobs done in Miami since arriving last year and I finally found a stylist/​salon that does exactly what I want and need; AND that’s agreeable with me! While Miss Mimi was working on my nails Miss Marta helped get my pedi started– I was offered beverage and Miss Mimi even asked if I needed a blowout– for $ 25! As I left I was given some good info about keratin treatments– including a discount card (x number of punches gets you a free service) I will definitely be coming back again! Hope Mimi stays put for a long time bc this area needs more businesses like this! Thanks Mimi and Marta!

Not as big a fan as I used to be! The salon has raised their prices first was 20 then 25 now 30 by the time you leave you are spending the same prices you would virtually anywhere else. So, there’s really no reason to be driving all the way to NW. 25^th St. unless you live around here, which I do not! Blowout is a blowout… So why fight the traffic when I can do it for the same price closer to home. Thanks for the memories Mimi’s, it was good while it lasted

I have super longgggg thick hair & came to Mimi’s by chance. I was on my way to an outing on a Friday @6pm and desperately needed my hair blown out. The staff here was so nice and so professional. Best of all they served me right away & it was super cheap! This is my new go-​to blow out spot.

So this place is not as chic or diva-​fied as my usual blo-​dry bar, but it gets FIVE stars for having the most convenient schedule in the world!
It opens at 7 AM and closes at 11… and it’s only 25 buckaroos–
I’ve come a few times during my lunch hour to try it out and have even checked in at the early bird 7 AM slot and I’ve had great experiences each and every time.
Definitely worth it if you’re in the area and want a break from the usual stuffy salons and their prices! Staff is friendly and service is quick. I’m in hair heaven!!!
