New Saigon Vietnamese Bistro

Well, I guess I was right about the nearby Vietnamese restaurants not having to worry about losing any customers to this new restaurant. I passed by here recently and it seems to have permanently closed.

I went here with co-​workers after my banh mi hopes and dreams were dashed by Quoc Huongs being closed. The service was really good and the servers were super friendly and helpful in explaining the menu to my co-​workers. It’s just that the food wasn’t great. I have had better shrimp bún at plenty of other Vietnamese joints. The shrimp wasn’t well marinated, the fish sauce fell flat, and the noodles weren’t soft enough.

I had an excellent lunch there on December 1, 2011. Since the restaurant was recently re-​imaged/​reopened, it was not too busy. I will definitely return.
