Great service and cute atmosphere. I may be spoiled because I’ve lived in Korea, visited Japan often, and lived in Los Angeles(home of Little Tokyo, Korea Town, Little Osaka…), but this Asian-style bakery just didn’t deliver the quality I’m used to. We ordered the boba tea, a giant cream puff, and a cheesecake. The tea was good, but a bit too sweet for my taste. The cream puff was made with ultra-dense filling, so it felt more like eating a pile of frosting rather than the light and fluffy filling I’ve come to expect. The cheesecake was the real disappointment, though. We ordered a full-sized cheesecake to celebrate my husband’s new professorship. The girl at the counter was sweet and put his name on the cake while we waited. All of the cakes behind the counter were beautiful, but the sad part came when we actually tasted the cheesecake. It was VERY dry and crumbly, not sweet, and generally not good. I have a real problem with wasting food, but between three people, and a couple days, we finally had to throw out more than half the cake because none of us could bring ourselves to eat it… With a price tag of $ 25 I would have hoped for more.

The savory pastries is where I go. Love that bread with the hog dogs, and the bacon stuffed bread. Service is simple: pick a tray and pack your desires on it, then pay.

This is a first time I’ve visited an Asian bakery/coffee shop. They offer great desserts and Asian pastries for low prices. Some of the fancy desserts are pricier but they are still worth the buy. Chocolate Buns & Caterpillar filled with cream cheese are couple of my favorite things. We’ve tried couple savory pastries also and they were fresh and delicious. I haven’t tried the bubble teas but by the looks of it many customers enjoy it tremendously as their are groups of teens and young adults huddling over their phones drinking the bubble teas. The service is friendly and prompt.

I was in serious of need of something sweet to nibble on at a very late hour. I was extremely elated and surprised to have learned of this place which is conveniently located on Buford Highway. But I tried to convince myself to skip dessert and only get tea. Having taken the steps to seek it out, I continued the course and am so glad I did! The options were endless even near closing time and pieces were reasonable. I ordered a taro, chocolate milk tea and a small Oreo cheesecake. Again, «small» cheesecake in the event my doc is reading this. There were no diet options, lol, but as with most Asian bakeries items usually contain less sugar which helps. Every little bit helps. Loved the milk tea. The cheesecake ended up being a treat a day later but it was still fresh, tasty and just enough. The 3 items were slightly less than $ 10.

This is a terrific Korean style bakery(if you haven’t been to one, there are more savory selections and the sweet baked goods are less sweet than what you would find in an American bakery). The goods here are top notch — I’m especially fond of those items baked with almond filling. Service is very good also, but this place does get very busy and it can be hard to eat-in. Take it to go and save yourself from waiting for a table.

Who doesn’t love Sweet Hut? Sweet Hut and Paris Baguette have been my two favorite Asian bakeries in Atlanta so far. Paris Baguette has a wider selection of sweet pastries, while Sweet Hut has more selection in savory baked goods. The pork buns are my favorite. They also have shredded pork rolls, spam & egg buns, curry chicken puffs, hot dogs, and sweet corn & ham bread. I’ve been eyeing their seaweed & bacon roll, but not really sure if it’s worth getting. For their sweets, I like their donuts, milk teas, and fruit slushes. I have to try their cakes and fruit tarts next time– they look too mouthwatering. This location gets pretty busy, but they’re usually fast in service. I still prefer their newer location on Pleasant Hill — it’s bigger and seems to have more variety in all the sweet stuff I like(without running out so quickly). They also serve sandwiches, burgers, and snacks.
