Adorable atmosphere, good bubble tea, and yummy treats. AND they have so many samples. I also like that in comparison to some of the other korean bakeries in town their seating area is more hang out and study friendly. I tried their white windmill affogato and it was super delicious, instead of the ice cream with expresso poured over it they made a sort of blended ice drink. YUM.

This place is delicious. I have made several trips and I have never been disappointed. The cookies and other bakery items are available in many flavors. The little cheesecakes and chocolate brownies are so good. I have become a fan of their lavender milk tea and the green bubble tea. I didn’t care for the almond cookies I had once because they were so dry. The service is quick but not all that friendly.

Overall, you can’t go wrong with White Windmill. It’s a cool place to enjoy an espresso drink and a baked good… or 5. There’s a good amount of seating, and the interior is comfortable and easy on the eyes. Even though it’s a little more down the road from most restaurants/bakeries on Buford Hwy, it’s still a really popular place especially on the weekends. On a weekday, it’s a nice place to meet with friends or get some reading/studying done on your own. On the weekend, you may have a hard time finding a table. If you’re a fan of Korean bakeries like I am, WW will not disappoint. Props to WW and Paris Baguette for holding it down on Buford Hwy. If it weren’t for those two, the struggle for my Korean bakery fix would have been too real.

This location is the hip & happenin’ place to be as a cultured alternative to Starbucks. Tastier pastries, nicer lightning, and interesting Asian drinks. However, it takes the noisiness from Starbucks with it as well. I prefer the Peachtree Industrial Boulevard location, and I’ve often driven past this location in favor of that one. Also, the furniture in this location is uncomfortable compared to the Peachtree Industrial location, which has super soft and comfortable pillows and couches.

I admit… I have quite the addiction to White Windmill. I drive out of my way just to eat their free samples and order their yummy iced coffee. Although the bakery items are a little higher priced then Sweet Hut, I really love the variety and beautiful display of sweets, cakes, cookies, macaroons… Oh you had me at macaroons! I haven’t tried their boba teas but this is a Korean bakery and I don’t believe boba tea is a Korean specialty. If your looking for authentic boba tea then drive up the street to Kung Foo Tea or Quickly. Free WiFi and comfy seats for those looking for a place to hang out and do some work. The other location in John’s Creek is crap… This one on Burford is the best.

I’ve been to the Duluth location but I kinda like this location better. Can’t tell you why exactly but I do. Anyway, I looove green tea flavored anything and their green tea latte was pretty tasty. It’s definitely sweet and has a touch of that green tea graininess but was still quite good. I had an egg and cheese bagel. It was pretty standard — not bad but nothing to write home about. They have me a lil sample of their pecan and chocolate cookies in my bagel bag, which was a nice touch. I also sampled some of their breads while waiting. No complaints here. Oh, and the dessert case was just lovely. Definitely a good place to pick up a treat for a special occasion.

Great food and service. Enjoyed the onion bread and strawberry bubble tea. Tried the breakfast sandwich with turkey and blue lemonade. Lemonade was a little too sweet. The sandwich was good came with a mini cookie. Overall ambience very nice.

This is first time ever seeing a bakery with SAMPLES! We enjoyed trying a lot of samples! There aren’t samples for every single-one bakery good though. This bakery seemed to be very popular with non-Asians for a Korean/asian bakery. We were quite impressed with the large variety and availability at White Windmill. Since we don’t come to this area often, we got a whole bunch of goodies. I think the sampling of the food also convinced us to buy more as we knew what we liked ahead of time. Here’s what we ordered: 1. Green tea roll cake — yum! The matcha flavor is actually there! 2. Curry croquette* — yum! It contains large chunks of onion and the curry taste is good. 3. Sobboro bread — good but not as good as Vincent Bakery’s 4. Traditional style croquette* — yum! It contains meat and veggies in it. 5. «cranberry cream cheese type bun» — we thought we grabbed the mochi mochi bun, but it didn’t taste like that all when we were sampling it and thus the given name in quotes. It didn’t taste that good either. *Note: These were labelled as croquettes and looked nothing like the Japanese croquettes [or Korokke(コロッケ)] that we’re familiar with. White Windmill makes it more bready-like for lack of a better term. We hope to visit again if we’re ever in the area.

Nice place to chill out. I love their iced black coffee and usually pick up few sweet bread to go with it. It is so nice that they have lots of bread samples… even out of towners like my brother and sister in laws could enjoyed.

White windmill is one of the original Asian bakeries in Atlanta, way before places like sweet hut. Their desserts are always on point and the drinks are made really well. They have a one up on the other Asian bakeries because they excel in coffee. They roast their own beans and have a great manual espresso machine. Their boba isn’t always the best, and it can sometimes can be hardened. It’s got a comfortable space to study and hang with friends. Some of the more comfortable chairs are run down because they have gotten so much use!

I have only been here two times. Both times that I have come here, I’ve gotten the Turkey Pesto Panini. Both times, the panini has been satisfyingly yummy! I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because everything is priced a little high. For my panini and chips the total came to over $ 8.

I was not impressed. I thought a nice boba tea would cap off lunch in just the right way, but this boba was not very good. The tapioca was not properly soaked. Too chewy – hard. Plus, it seemed to take a while to actually get my drink.(Normally I’d expect a delay if the place was slammed, but it was definitely not slammed when I was there.) Apart from this, the restaurant seems very comfortable. I will have to give them another chance some day. Holler if you’re coming with.

I come here if I just want to get away, have a nice milk tea, and read a book. I really appreciate the ambience inside – the decorations are adorable. I haven’t tried all of the pastries, but their baked goods lean more on the bread side as opposed to the cake side of things. Still good. They have this one mochi pastry that is really good. But, I come here for one drink and one drink only and that is their milk tea. Something about the tea or the milk – I’m not really sure – but whatever it is, their milk tea tastes really good. Forget about the boba or other things you can add, their milk tea alone is really good.

This review is for the fruit patbingsoo I had today. Definitely one of the top three I’ve had in Atlanta. I’m not sure if it is consistently this good, as this was my first time trying it here though I’ve been here many times. The fruit was very fresh and ripe. Good balance of sweetness and crunch. The ice cream was really cold so it didn’t all melt within the first minute and lasted til the last bite. The mochi was dark colored and had a soft doughy but not squishy texture. So yummy. I’m refraining from ordering another one.):

I have passed this place so many times and decided to finally venture in and give it a try. There is such a huge selection that it can become overwhelming, but what stands out for me are the many samples. This tremendously helps to narrow what you will buy without purchasing something you don’t like. They have a huge sitting area with nice plush chairs. There is a small outside patio. I purchased a huge bread with cheese baked on top in the middle. It was okay. My husband got a long slender cheese bread that was slathered with a sweet sauce and it was amazing.
My only qualm with this establishment was that it is a little pricier than other Asian bakeries. I would stop by again if I in the area and feigning for some tasty bread. They do sell other items outside of the bakery such as sandwiches and I think pizzas.

Not that I was avoiding White Windmill, its just I never managed to check it out. With that said, there may be many more visits to come. The café is really cute. Very spacious seating area which I imagine gets equally as crowded on weekends. I was visiting on a Monday and it was moderately empty. Love the selection of pastries too, with such great variety. For the most part though, it’s pretty much the staples. I didn’t see as many savory pastries upon my first visit, but what I did try was very good. The olive pizza baguette half was probably my favorite since I was looking for something savory to begin with. They also have a fried curry bread here. They do not skimp on the curry, and it has a much more prominent curry flavor than some of my more favorite curry breads. It was good, but for me, not my most favorite. Perhaps 2nd in Atlanta though so not a bad thing at all! I also bought a standard sweet tea… nothing special. It had a grainy taste to it which was a little odd, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. They also have a sandwich bar for lunch time which I wasn’t able to get to in time. Oh, well. Overall, a really great place to hang out or catch up on studying/work. Plus lotsa free samples on breads!

It felt like half of Doraville was here this afternoon when we stopped by for an after lunch treat. The crowd made it difficult to find a table. Two guys were giggling and sipping lavender taro milk teas at their highboy table. A woman was drinking French press tea and reading Why Should White Guys Have All the Fun? Another woman was doing paperwork while a little girl sat across from her watching the movie Frozen on a tablet. At least a dozen people were working away on laptops and others were chatting over snacks. On the other side of the bakery, customers were browsing through displays of cakes, cookies, breads and pastries. There were bite sized samples next to many of them. I was tempted to try a few things but since I gave up sugar for Lent I ordered a Passion Berry Fruit Tisane(loose leaf tea in a French press). My guys had a Tiramisu Cup and a Cream Bread. The tea was fruity, tart and served in a cute flowered tea cup. Unfortunately, it wasn’t anything special so this visit only warrants three stars. I assume the baked goods are the real draw so I plan to revise my review once I return to sample the sweet treats at White Windmill.

If you’re looking for a quieter place to study that is similar to Sweet Hut, then White Windmill is the place! It has similar food items like any other asian style café. Cakes, sweet bread, coffee, bubble tea… etc. The design of the place is so cozy, it reminds me of being in the country side. They are a little pricier than Sweet Hut which is down the street on Buford Highway, but I would recommend this place if you need a quiet place to study or hang out with friends.

I think I like this windmill location the best. Its the cutest interior(feels most like a korean café), its the quietest, etc. Great place to grab some coffee and snack with friends or get some studying done in. Hubs and I tried the hazelnut latte and sweet potato latte. Both were okay. Nothing special. Was my cup only suppose to be filled halfway? And it was such a bummer those fish things were not available when we went :(I really wanted those! But overall, I had a good experience.
