Charlie’s Place-Pizza Chicken & More

Called to order a Broccoli Chicken Alfredo pizza for a pick up. They said 20 mins and were precise. The pizza was amazing and the girl working there was very nice. Would recommend!

This place is just okay. I’ve been here a couple of times and I usually end up wishing I had called ahead to order because it takes longer than I’d expect. Food is fine, nothing crazy. Service is good enough. The menu board is digital, so that’s cool and modern.
One thing that was not a problem, just a really awkward use of social media for a business… I went to check out their instagram to see if they had pictures of their food before I ordered, but it was more like someone’s personal account. I don’t know what a body builder, puppies in a truck, a naked lava woman drawing, and dolphins at sunset have to do with promoting a pizza business. And they had their instagram pics streaming on that digital menu too, lol! So weird.

Really good pizza ! Best pizza I tasted in Boston. Wings are good to. We called and ordered to pick up and they made it fast and quick. They are nice too.

I used to go to St Marks which is a block over as a kid. Have been going here since the 3^rd grade! Bret food love it but lately in the last year I think they have new management and the girls working at the front are extremely rude and ghetto… I’m talking hood rat. They constantly take my order wrong when I do delivery, charge me for it and then when I call to say they got it wrong they tell me I ordered the wrong thing. Yes I want pizza and I ordered a burrito. They have no sense. Like people ordering have already selected what they wanted off of the menu and called you to place it but they are wrong? Then they hang up on you! Now after 19 years of ordering here I no longer give this place my business

I have been ordering from them for a month, and the delivery is quick. But the past three weeks I will call and they can’t find my street or hear me.
A week ago I called to order and they said «Oh we aren’t delivering in your area.» I live two streets away from the place. I’m never ordering from there again.
Update: I ordered from there last night. No problem at all. The person taking my order was nice, the driver was on-​time and nice, and the food was SOOO good. I will give them a pass on those incidents.

I’ve been coming here on and off for years now and never disappointed. … from their pizza to their seafood platters to their pasta dishes.. I love… the only thing is there’s no parking and sometimes the ppl on the phone are a little snappy but overall, this is my go to place for when I’m having cravings for fried foods and delicious carbs ;)

I like this place and this rating is for the delivery service only.
Their delivery service is decent compare to other places in area. I Love the Ziti chicken Alfredo at Charlie’s because the portion is big and of course it also tastes good! Don’t miss out on the wing ding. They are small and crunchy. Yummm. Gzzzz. It’s making me hungry writing this. Last time I ordered The seafood platter surprisingly, it was pretty good too.
However, my bf said their pizza is ok. So if you are pizzas’ lovers I don’t recommend Charlie’s.

Moved to the neighborhood a few months ago and have been ordering from here about once a week.
My husband loves the curly fries and the burgers. Personally, I think they do have really good buffalo chicken fingers– and the plate is always enough for two meals.
One time we tried the jalopena poppers which so far is the only thing I would not recommend.

What the hell are you doing putting a pound of mayo on an ITALIAN sub? Blasphemy. Oil and vinegar guys. Get it together. I wanna go make myself throw up.

This was my first time at Charlie’s in a long time. I ordered a ham and cheese toasted with onions, lite lettuce and XXXX pickles. When I arrived to pick up my sub I grabbed a slice of cheese pizza. The pizza was okay. However my sub was not toasted. Good thing there was no extra charge for that since I didn’t get it and I was taking it home. Would I go back? Sure, if I’m hungry and in the area.

Their Pizza’s are alright…

For a take out pizza place, this is a great place to have nearby. Pizza is quite good and the wings are some of the best I have had in Boston.

This place is literally across the street from my place so it is very convenient. Great customer service. Food is fantastic. Highly recommend!

All their food is pretty darn good. Their buffalo chicken is actually pretty incredible. Service is pretty friendly and they’ve always got a lot of staff working it seems. Although i feel they close a little late it’s usually worth getting in an order before they close. Their pizza isn’t #1 or anything, but no one goes there without getting buffalo wings anyways so that’s what you really go for.
Delivery is a tad slow and sometimes orders over the phone are a bit unintelliigible. Their prices are also a bit crap when delivering and they do a bullshit $ 1 charge for credit cards. An order which should have been $ 14 before tax turned into $ 18.25 which is preposterous.

Great pizza! Great subs! Fast delivery! Prices seem to vary a lot depending on who mans the phone and adds up the order but usually I am too lazy to care. Also try the stuffed shells, huge portion and delicious! I usually get the veggie pizza and add garlic and eggplant, it’s so good. I just wished they had homemade house dressing so I could dunk my pizza crust in it. Mmmmm… nom…nom…nom.

My coworkers and I order Charlie’s for lunch every once in a while. The wraps are delicious and big enough to share. Grilled chicken spinach, Mediterranean, Chicken burrito… every one that I’ve tried has been very good.
Salads are good portion sizes as well. The pizza and calzones are good, though nothing special.
Delivery always seems to take forever (though I guess 45 minutes to an hour is pretty standard) so we try to order and pick it up if we can.

Can’t complain: it’s a decent sub shop that is about a five-​minute walk from my new house. Good pizza (order it extra saucy), fries are good, too (not coated!), but pass on the burgers: hockey pucks. I’d recommend calling in your order and picking it up, though taking in the local flavor that goes up and down Dot Ave. isn’t a bad way to pass the time. Be sure to check out their lunch and daily specials.

I tend to find all «pizza, wings, and sub shops» to be more or the less the same. However, after my first experience with them last night, Charlie’s certainly deserves some recognition as being exceptional. My boyfriend and I choose Charlie’s from my endless stack of menus left on my doorstep mainly because they delivered late. Although delivery took a little longer than I would have liked (it being 10:00 and me being ravenous made me a harsher critic than usual), the food was superb.
I am, unapologetically, that «constantly watching her weight, ordering the grilled chicken salad and then staring longingly and finally eating all of your grease feast» girl. However, my spinach chicken salad was enough to keep me excited and satisfied all night! It came with mushrooms, onions, and at, my request, a small amount of feta cheese. It certainly hit the spot and the chicken was warm and deliciously marinated. It came with a delicious piece of pita-​bread as well.
My boyfriend used a coupon to order a small order of spicy BBQ wings and a small pizza. He described the wings as being covered in «roast beef sauce» and this was a fantastic treat. I tried a bite of his bacon and sausage pizza — fluffy, sweet, and delicious.
Even though I am a slacking Unilocaler, my first thought after eating this was, «I can’t wait to talk about it on Unilocal!» …sign of a winner!

I live right around the corner yet never ordered from them. Their calzones are really good. I could smell my husbands order of wings as we walked home. The food was ready quickly and they have a decent dessert selection for a pizza and wings place.
