Worst service ever. Everything was rushed and done poorly. Wouldn’t recommend going back. They dont even have a good selection of colors. My gel set chipped a day later and my cuticles were cut, which then started to bleed.

Was recommended some years ago for eyebrows… never went for nail service. Went today, after a co-​worker recommended it. My nails came out greatm i got there early on a Sat and have decided to always go atthis time to beat the crowd/​wait. Betsy was quick, and efficient. Her work is good. I would def refer others. Its not the fanciest but I was satisfied.

Besty (the daughter) does wonderful nail designs and is truly talented. The place is usually packed so call ahead so you are not waiting forever.

I absolutely love this place! It’s weird because I would NEVER go into this place on my own. I went because a friend told me they do good acrylics and it’s been sooo hard to find a place that will do them cheap, good and fast! So I gave it a try and I absolutely love it. I’ve only had one person do my nails (Betsy — the daughter) and she’s really good. A lot of people like her, so if she is ever busy go to her dad (I forget his name).

Betsy (the daughter) is a pure talent! She can do no wrong! She can create what ever you need her to create. She will hook up some funky design freestyle or recreate a picture that you bring her. Betty (the owner) is the queen of the eyebrows. However, you know if she is doing your nails. She has to take some breaks to do eyebrows… Because EVERYONE and their mama loves for Betty to do their eyebrows. I have been going here for over 13 years and I love the results!

Okay, I’ve been visiting various salons and spas all around this great city experimenting with waxers. So let me be honest I am picky about any service that I pay for in regard to my general upkeep (hair, wax, nails, facials, etc). But, I am overly critical about my eyebrows. So here is my honest review…
To begin with Betty’s wax station is NO where near as clean as it should be. Betty has ALL the strips from previous waxes, just chilling on the counter top. Ma’am. Sister. Sweet Woman. I do not want to see the hairy strips belonging to previous clients, scattered about all over the place. Dispose of those used strips 1) Because it takes .5 seconds to throw them in the trash 2) because its gross to leave them out and 3) because it makes me think you just don’t give a damn. And the LAST person I want working on my brows is an individual who has not a single damn left to give.
Now a little positive, Betty waxed my eyebrows so quickly, and speed is something I will always appreciate. Plus she only charged me 6 dollars for the service which is ¹⁄₃ of what I normally pay in Somerville. So my heart did a dance all around my chest for that price.
Now the bottom line is if you like your eyebrows to be sculpted perfectly then Betty will do that… amazingly. My brow is a WHOLE lot thinner than I typically prefer but still beautifully arched. However, Betty’s just doesn’t seem like the kind of place I would become fiercely loyal to. To each their own, I suppose. Happy Unilocaling.

Went in based on the other reviews on Unilocal.Very good service. Walked in In and was out in under 45 for a gel manicure. Betsy did a great job, certainly will go back.

Can’t say enough about Betty’s love the atmosphere (That’s because I fancy her daughter Betsy)!!! She takes her time and is willing to do the best work so that you are satisfied. I am familiar with everyone there and even if you may be having a bad day Betty’s will always lift up your spirits. I must say, that is my nail shop and I love love going… While Betty is the eyebrow guru, Betsy is not far behind and is definitely the leader in nail designs in Dorchester…

Betty is the eyebrow guru. She’s quick and she does an awesome job. Her daughter, I call her Betty Jr, is a nail design expert, any design that you can imagine, she can put on your nail. The neighborhood isnt the safest, but Betty will make you feel safe enough to venture over every 2 weeks (or every week if you’re hairy).

I love Betty’s… I’ve been going for years and no matter where else I go, they can’t compare… I work downtown and sometimes try to sneak to another salon (paying ridiculous prices) and get a refill or pedicure and it’s never the same… One day I left a downtown salon with my hands half-​done so I could go to Betty’s after work… And I shouldn’t tell you all this because the more customers for her means more waiting time for me, but Jennifer does the best pedicures ever. She takes her time (about 1 ½ hours) and gets every little thing. I usually tip her at least $ 10 every time because she is so thorough! I started going there years ago after seeing a friend’s eyebrows were perfect.
