Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience Friday night. The food was outstanding. The artichoke dip was excellent and the pasta was fresh and delicious. A jazz musician played softly in the corner and added ambiance to an already nice experience. Highly recommended.

The only reason I’m even giving this place one star is because the building and holiday décor were pleasing. The menu sounded very appetizing, but unfortunately we didn’t get that far. We chose to go to Bella’s to celebrate my birthday, as it’s supposedly one of the best upscale restaurants in the area. After waiting 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by a Hostess(after ringing the bell as the welcome sign indicated to do), we waited for over 25MINTUES without even so much as a passing glance from any of the servers. There were a few small parties at the restaurant, but overall the restaurant wasn’t very busy. After the 25 minutes, my husband approached one of the servers to ask about being waited on, but she just shrugged and kept on going about her business. At that point we decided to leave and mentioned to the bartender why we were leaving on the way out. We overheard him tell the manager, who also did not seem to care that we were unsatisfied. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone; its hard to believe this place even exists after our experience with their ‘customer service.’

I heard that the food was good and the service was marginal so, I decided to try it. Like a lot of people I did some time in the F&B business; this place is horrible. The facility looks great but that’s the end. From the moment I entered it was obvious that the staff was stressed. I sat at the bar and the wait staff was making drinks because the bar tender had no idea what she was doing. Could hardly open a bottle of wine let alone identity it. I went ahead and ordered lasagna, supposedly preceded by a house salad, and after a half hour I paid for my 2 glasses of wine and hit the road. Someone needs to close the joint for a month and teach the employees how to be wait staff.

Good food, a little pricey if your in a rush don’t come here. Crab cakes were awesome, rib eye well marbled and prepared as requested.

My husband and I came here for a date night. Nice and relaxing atmosphere. The food was really good. I ate the eggplant parmesan and side salad. Our server was Stephanie and she was very attentive. We will definitely come here again.

So let me begin by saying that this is a must visit restaurant… I recently relocated to the Dothan /Enterprise area from a big city with tons of great restaurants so we are always on the look out for great spots to eat. Bella’s was delicious and our server Stephanie was awesome! The staff is very helpful and professional. The ambiance is also very inviting and classy. Perfect place for a date night, or even just some good food with good friends! Two thumbs up for this spot. Well worth a visit!

Great lunch spot and romantic dinner spot. The ribeye sandwich is a great lunch fare while we tend toward the specials at night. One of the best ambiances in Dothan.

We were in town for a special occasion, first we get there and tell them reservations, the guy shook his head and said we didn’t.(They were made 3 weeks in advance) we get seated, takes forever for anyone to take our drink order — we finally get our drinks and it takes forever for them to take our order. We had small child in our party and when they finally come around to take our order, they tell us they don’t have a children’s menu, told us they could throw some spaghetti together for her. Salads come out(best part of my meal) and then it takes forever for food to come out! Several in our party ordered the blackened shrimp/sausage pene pasta and enjoyed it, but the shrimp was grilled not blackened. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with blackened shrimp and the shrimp was so dry, I couldn’t eat it. Two others from the group ordered a filet & a ribeye — both ordered medium rare and they got crispy chargrilled! Needless to say, we didn’t not enjoy our first visit here and it will be our last!

Ate here for the first time for a special occasion. Do not recommend it. The pasta was good but the Steaks were horrible. One guest had a ribeye the other a filet. Both were ordered medium rare and came burnt to a crisp. Filets are usually thick, this one was about 3 cm thick and charred to a crisp. I will include a pic of filet.

My husband and I visited Bella’s to celebrate our anniversary. It is a little odd to seat yourself in a fine dining restaurant. However, as soon as we were seated the waitress greeted us and took our drink orders. She returned promptly with our drinks and took our order. Bread with olive oil dipping sauce and salads were delivered shortly after that. The salads were fresh and nicely composed, fresh olives, carrots, greens. I ordered the lime cilantro vinaigrette dressing — amazing! We enjoyed the atmosphere while waiting for our meals. The dining area is quiet, with soft jazz playing in the background. It’s definitely a nice change from the crowded chain restaurants in town. I’m not sure how long it took our food to arrive, but I’d guess around 15 – 20 minutes. I ordered the Arrosoto Chicken, which is chicken in a white wine butter sauce topped with spinach and sundried tomatoes. It was delicious. Hubby ordered the seared tuna entrée, which was served with wasabi. He said it was really good. Both entrees came with sauteed vegetables and scalloped potatoes. I could have ate a plate full of vegetables. They were reallly good. The dessert options were enticing, but we were both too full to have dessert. It was a delicious meal, and we really enjoyed ourselves. I had just returned from Europe, and I have to say that the experience at Bella’s was better than any I had overseas — including dinner at a 2-star Michelin restaurant in Paris. Best special occasion restaurant in Dothan.

Wonderful atmosphere and staff. I was encouraged to try the eggplant parmesan since I am a vegetarian. I was told they are known for having the best eggplant parmesan. Wow! It was awful! I have had better from the frozen food section at Publix. I will probably try again in hopes that it was an off night, but I won’t have such high hopes.

I’ve been here 5+ times. I do enjoy it. I highly recommend it for special occasions. It is a little more pricy than the chains; not much. They are a small outfit so don’t expect extensive menu choices. Set up reservations so they can be prepared with extra staff. We always choose one of the house recommendations. They have always been good and most of the time they have been excellent. It is not fast and not a good place for young kids. Didn’t see anything that young kids would like. I was disappointed and surprised to see some of the negative reviews. We have always made reservations which may have helped. A small staff could get in trouble especially if some unexpectedly can’t come to work.

Not worth your time or money. I went with a large group of people and it took 3 hours to get our entrée. When it eventually came I couldn’t tell if it was mahi mahi or salmon. It was cooked so long it became as hard as a stone. I could barely chew it. I also got the caprese salad that had no balsamic on it. I got a piece of tiramisu to go and came home to find it half eaten or so it looked. All in all its a sorry excuse for Italian cuisine. My friends kids passed out in starvation waiting for the food to arrive

I have been in Dothan more than a year and a half never had a bad experience like this. I was with a large group meeting for dinner. The food took hours to arrive. They mixed up everybody’s food and sides. The kids went to sleep waiting for their pizza and they were not able to accommodate 2 more of our friends on the table. I don’t recommend this place at all and don’t even think about going inside their doors.

Overall: This is NOT fine dining, this is a bistro that serves over priced food with small portions, and has very slow service. If you are not from here, you will likely recognize the difference between fine and casual dining. Also, you will find better food, service, and value at Olive Garden or even Panera Bread. Service: we had reservations and waited in the empty lobby for 10 mins, when we were finally seated, there were about 20 ppl dining so it wasn’t a matter of being too busy. The server never offered wine suggestions, did not refill our drinks, did not remove our empty bread basket ever, or offer more bread. We waited forever for everything to come to the table. They forgot the vegi with my entrée and the server brought it after our check. Food: I ordered chicken Marsala. The dish was like hamburger helper stroganoff that my mom used to make, in taste and appearance, and my noodles were all cooked together like they weren’t stirred when they were boiling. I am a 120 pound woman and I felt this was not enough food, never experienced that before. It was $ 22. My date ordered steak and it was a good flavor but arrived with mashed potatoes and mixed vegis both in small ramekins on the plate, like an ice cream scoop worth of potatoes. I love steamed vegis, neither of us could eat them bc they were covered in pepper. His meal was $ 22. When they brought my forgotten vegi, it was THREE stalks of asparagus. THREE. Miscellaneous: some of our bread was very hard like it was left out a long time, who knows. We asked for desert menus(they were not offered) and watched our server talk to another employee for a number of minutes and decided to just forego. An owner or manager came and put her boobs in my face to adjust the thermostat behind me while we were eating, did not say excuse me or even ask how our meal was. If the food was less expensive, it would be ok. The atmosphere isn’t fancy or sophisticated. This is a bistro.

First time here. We really love the atmosphere! It’s beautiful in here and I love the fine dining feeling. The menu looks fantastic! Our bruschetta and bacon wrapped shrimp where to die for!!! The only complaint I have is that our server seems to have way too much on his plate. He is too busy. Too busy to take the kind of care a fine dining establishment should of you. Maybe a few more employees to help ensure better service. But all around I am pleased and would return!

Excellent dining! Very fine! My date and I had a lovely time. I called and made reservations ahead of time, we arrived early and were escorted directly to our seats, the hostess also mentioned that she would maybe do something special for us which was complimentary dessert. The food was amazing very fresh, huge portions! Great place! It was a little more fancy then I had expected but still an awesome place for a date!

Lovely birthday dinner at Bella’s tonight. Wonderful Alfredo fettuccine and a very tangy lasagna. Enjoyed the music and atmosphere. So much more pleasant than the mobs at the franchises with all the kids. Perfect place for a romantic dinner or business dinner — you could actually carry on a conversation!

I’ve been here twice with a large group(8 to 10) for business dinners. My favorite appetizer is the eggplant josephine. The crab and cheese dip is also amazing. The place has been under new management, I believe for about a year now, and the atmosphere is cozy with Italian music playing in the background. It is dimly lit, perfect for dates or a business dinner. The servers are very knowledgeable of the menu and always make great recommendations. I have not been while it is crowded, but both times the server was very attentive and did a fantastic job managing the large table. The drinks are strong, which makes it worth the price. The menu selection is limited, but I will say that they make those items very well. I was not terribly impressed with the steak, but the mahi-mahi was excellent. Another person with the group commented that the bacon wrapped shrimp were delicious and the salmon was a great choice.

First night in Alabama and taken to this awesome spot. Great atmosphere and fabulous food and drink. Had filet with pecan crusted mahi mahi and really enjoyed it. I hear its the only fine dining in town and its real gem.
