GREATPIZZA. Very cool atmosphere, but very limited seating. Fast and efficient service, recommend this place for sure!

The pizza is good, very good but trying to order a pizza on Saturday evening, June 18, 2016 was BAD. First, when we called to order a pizza the gentleman that answered the phone said he couldn’t hear us and asked if we were on a cell phone and then abruptly hung up. We called back and he said the same thing and hung up.(he knew we were on a cell phone by the number that showed up) We knew perfectly well he could hear every word we said as we talk to people all the time on our cell phone and never have a problem. One other time we called to order and the guy answering the phone did everything he could to discourage us from ordering. «we’re so busy it’s going to be at least 45 minutes. Do you still want to order?» Our response was«Yes». We then heard an audible«sigh». I get it, it’s summer time you’re busy. But to fake a bad cell phone connection and hang up is ridiculous. We called Back Alley Pizza immediately after to order our pizza. I mentioned this issue to several friends in the area and two had said they had a similar experience. Good food is the bases of any good restaurant, but poor service and going so far as to pretend they can’t hear you to avoid taking another order is unacceptable. I get it you’re super busy, but be honest and just say«unfortunately at this time we are unable to take any additional orders. We apologize»

If your looking for delicious fresh artisan pizza your search is over! Pizza Mambo is hands down has some of the best pizza I have ever had. I do not normally like marinara sauce and will eat my bread sticks plain but their house made marinara completely won me over. From the breadsticks to the pizza everything was fresh and delicious. The staff and owners were very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. There is a very nice patio area if you dine in. I highly recommend them to anyone visiting the area.

The pizza here is delectable. I spoke with one of the owners, Dave, and he recommended the El Supremo. It was amazing. The Gorgonzola sauce was definitely the highlight. They give it with the breadsticks and it’s like heaven in your mouth. 5 Stars! PROS: –Better pizza than anywhere in the Bay Area –Friendly, quick service –Great outdoor seating CONS: –No public restroom :( –No beer served here All in all, an excellent experience!

My topping were almost nonexistent on my two pizzas that I had paid $ 45 for. Breadsticks were good except for the fact that my ounce cup of marinara was only enough for three breadsticks. I doubt ever again!

Pizza Mambo is nothing short of spectacular! The pizza is a thin crust with just the right combination of chewy and wonderfully crunchy. Their house made pizza sauces, specialty blend of cheeses and choice of numerous gourmet toppings add up to a truly delicious pizza. We loved both the veggie pizza with marinara sauce and the pizza with pesto sauce, roasted garlic and artichoke hearts. REALLYYUMMY! The Greek salad with its house made dressing was absolutely the best I have ever had, hands down! Although Pizza Mambo is primarily a carry out restaurant, we chose to eat at one of the tables inside and enjoy the charming Tuscan themed décor — so warm and inviting! The owners and staff are very friendly, and the food and service are first class. If you are in the area, this is definitely a restaurant you don’t want to miss!

Upscale and authentic. Healthy and top notch ingredients. Homemade sauces and dressings. Bountiful salads. Crisp homemade thin crust, not greasy. The place has got a great vibe with very friendly owners. All the food is made with love. Mostly carry out but they have a lovely patio if you choose to dine in. There are also a few tables inside. The décor is modern. The place is meticulous. Great music, space, people and food add up to a great choice!!!

Good food at a good price. Loved the thinner crust and the Chicken/Bacon pizza was clearly the hit among the 7 of us. Next time we will order two. We also appreciated the honesty as they were running behind and let us know it could be up to 90 minutes(but it took just under an hour)

What a find! In from Chicago where pizza is is the best, but found one that can compare with any ma & pa pizza place in Chi-town. Pizza Mambo is well worth the wait. I have never seen such a pizza place so busy. Busy means good food. Stop by and try this Pizza Mambo

Great Thin crust pizza, quaint«Old World Italian» atmosphere, Superior Service. It’s primarily a take out place with 2 indoor tables and 5-ish outdoor tables with umbrellas. Menu was great, we will be back!

Found this terrific gem almost by accident! The food was delicious and hearty(Italian beef sandwich, antipasto salad), the space was charming, and the owners could not have been nicer and more gracious! Looking forward to returning the next time I am here!

The pizza is awesome! I am stating this as someone of Italian heritage and who grew up in New Jersey, so that compliment does not come easily. The choice of toppings is extensive and high quality. I love that there are vegetarian meat substitutes! Everyone in our group of 10 enjoyed the pizzas we ordered. We ordered delivery and the restaurant was kind enough to let us know that they were overwhelmed at the time, and that delivery might take up to 50 minutes. We were in no hurry(as should anyone be when visiting this area), and I expressed that we were patient and not to stress out. The pizzas arrived sooner than predicted, hot, and crispy. I will definitely order from them every time I visit the Saugatuck/Douglas area.

They really do have the best pizza in town. It’s definitely a carry out restaurant, but that’s fine, why not take your pizza to one of the local beaches and eat it anyway? Great location, great pizza, great staff.

No way is this pizza«the best!» Average. And absolutely no beer in sight. Service can be good and bad. Take out only. You can eat on their patio but you’ll need to take it out. A bit pricy. Not quite three stars. Salad was decent. Within 2 miles of a beach. Good delivery guys. Good branding.

We were hoping for a dine-in place, but they’re more of a carryout place. There’s one table inside near the beverage cooler and a small patio outside — pretty spartan though. The pizza was very average. I expected a little better, given the lack of focus on ambience. Our pepperoni thincrust was no better than the store bought pizza we make at home. The chicken-artichoke-pesto pizza was fine. Very plain crust. Service was mixed. Two workers were friendly; one was less so. No guest restroom.

Visiting here from out if town and we ordered from here. Pizza was thin and crispy which is just how we like it. Our kids loved it too – said it was the best pizza ever. Breadsticks with marinara were good choice too– also a hit with the kids.

Very, very delicious. We ate our pizza, but it was so good we could have easily eaten another. I think this pizza was even better than our local favorite in Chicago. The Greek salad was very flavorful as well and was large enough for two to share. Our kids ate every bit of pizza too and they are picky.

Nothing mind-blowing, but exactly what I wanted: good ol’ fashioned pizza pie. The crust was light and chewy, the cheese melty and gooey, the toppings fresh! I ordered a house salad and breadsticks as well, both were tasty. Oh, and the best part – they deliver! Everything came piping hot(except the salad of course.) Would order again from Pizza Mambo for sure!

If you are familiar with Douglas and Saugatuck, you’lll know that there are NO chain restaurants here, but there are alot of places to try. We normally order pizza from another pizza joint in town, but we decided to give PIzza Mambo a try. We ordered carry out, and were very pleased. Pizza is thin crust(FYI). Our pizza was mushroon and pepperoni — the mushrooms were think, generously sized. The pepperoni was average(not exceptional but not bad). The bread sticks are also thin — not like the ones that come from Pizza Hut, but they were yummy! Pizza was ready in a timely manner. we will definitely eat here again.
