Service was good. Bbq sauce was more like soup. Beef floated in it rather than being covered by it. Should have had something like Texas toast on the plate rather then a bare bun.

These people have the nerve to serve the most disgusting chicken sandwich I have had the misfortune to taste with smiles over their faces. If you like mayonnaise… an inordinate, obscene amount of mayonnaise… then this is the place for you. I took a bite of the sandwich and immediately spit out my food. Looking inside the contents of the untoasted white bread slices I didn’t find a chargrilled chicken breast proudly bearing the stripes and flavor of a seared morsel of goodness. Instead I poked through a thick, sickly layer of mayonnaise and congealed grease to find a tepid and limp gray lump of meat, boiled to oblivion. Even more insulting was the exorbitant price I paid for it at the register. Do your blood pressure, your cholesterol level, and your wallet a favor and avoid this place at all cost!

One of the absolutely worst BBQ restaurants I have ever been to, and as a BBQ lover I have been to a lot. My Wife and I ordered two BBQ sandwiches, fries and slaw. The sandwiches had no flavor and had the texture pureed meat. The fries were rubbery and cold and the cold slaw had a strange tarter sauce flavor. My wife took one bite of the sandwich and refused to eat it. I wish I had done the same but I finished mine and ended up spending the night in the bathroom. Staff were nice but not very knowledgeable about how their food was prepared. The owner told me that he uses a ham cut of pork not Boston butt. I guess that is so he can increases his profit margin. I will not be eating here again and advise no one else too.

I would give a negative 50 if I could. As I sit writing this, it is the next day and my stomach is cramping terribly and I have been in the bathroom at least 4 times in the last 60 minutes. It was not to read the newspaper, I can assure you. uggghh! I will hurry to write this to prevent the next person from buying here, and also because I will have to go again real soon. No jokes here, I am disgusted with this place. I went to this place for the first time yesterday, because I try to support my local community, I am new to the area. The first clue was there was NO one in the restaurant when I arrived. I was greeted by the staff and I told here this was my first visit. I ordered a lb of ribs, coleslaw and fried okra — $ 21.70. The man behind the kitchen counter had a strange look on his face, I remember thinking, what is that about. After picking up my order there he was looking at me again. I nodded thank you — he gave a weak smile and went away. One couple arrived to eat in as I left. When I got home, I couldn’t wait to eat, as this was my first meal of the day. I opened the okra and ate a few pieces, it had hard fibers in it, like the okra was not ripe or just tuff — but it was just OK. I open the platter of ribs, there is a liquid brown-tinted sauce on the bottom, no smell of bbq to be found. The top 6 inch piece was black on the top, like skin of burnt meat that had been soaked in liquid. The bottom 6 inch piece had a black layer and also soggy with this liquid. I took the top piece apart and took a bite, the meat was tasteless, dry and hard to chew, forget about swallowing it — had to take it out of my mouth and throw it away. So I attempted the bottom piece, it was just as horrible. At this point I am afraid something wrong has been done to the food, it just isn’t right! How does this place stay in business I am thinking!!! So lastly, I try a small piece of the coleslaw — it is spoiled!, has a spicy, vinegary, spoiled milk taste to it — disgusting!!! I wrap it all up,(tied in three plastic bags, because I know it is going to stink real soon) and threw it away. I can’t return it to the store because now it was 8:56PM and they close at 9PM. If you want great GABBQ, this is the last place I would send my worst enemy. Tony C is telling the truth — this is not the place you would ever want to bring your family or yourself. This is my honest and truthful opinion — stay away. Now I have to run back to the bathroom. Take my advice… or you will regret it.

Staff was friendly and nice. I sat a table it was fully clean off. The prices are reasonable. I order an ½ rack and it quite a bit of fat in it. The sauce was vinegar base and it had no real barbecue taste to it. I had to eat baked beans with it, to help with the taste. If you are looking good barbecue this is not the place for you. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends. I should had followed the people who have a review before I did. They were right in every aspect.

I was told this was the best BBQ in town, but found it to be a big disappointment. The place had a cheap plastic furniture atmosphere. The Meat had a good smoke flavor and was tender but a little dry and too much fat. Prices are good and service friendly.

The usual, mediocre to average. Pork was not very tender, fries were just plain bad though they had potential, and the sauce is nothing to brag about. Avoid their hot sauce. It is hot, but it is not even close to good. Excellent sweet tea. Great staff and fast service. The usual and sadly expected mediocre BBQ typical of this area.

This was my first time eating here and I will not be going back. The ribs were overcooked and tasteless; and the fries were soggy. The BBQ sauce was watery and the vinegar overpowered any flavor that it might have had. The staff is friendly; however, I’ve tasted much better BBQ and don’t recommend this restaurant.

I’ve experienced better. My first stop here, I always try the beef first, if they make good beef brisket then everything else will be good. I stopped by for a sandwich and was disappointed that they had no brisket listed just BBQ beef. I tried that and it reminded me of slow cooked pot roast with barbecue sauce added. If your not going to make barbecue beef brisket then just stick to the pulled pork.

Clean and friendly — order at counter — but three ribs for nine dollars and the sauce was a hot vinegar death bath

Husband forgot to defrost meat, so we got take out. The meat was pretty tasteless and the sauce was sour. My husband was the only person in our home to kind of like it. The pulled pork was etible, until I poured the sauce on it. I gave the chopped beef to our dogs– they liked it. I guess vinegar based sauces are not to my family’s liking.

I love that Hog Wild uses a vinegar based sauce, as opposed to the thick ketchup-like sauce some places have. Good Prices, ultra casual atmosphere, and the brownies are a must try!

BBQ fanatics like myself are always on the hunt for a new spot to get some ‘Q, and this place is the definition of a great find. Totally authentic and incredibly low-priced Georgia-style BBQ, specializing in the almighty protein, pork. The pork plate(served any style; I prefer chopped) with meat, fries and bread is only $ 6!
