I had a unit here several years ago and that is the only reason I even thought to come back. On Sept 22, 2014 I arrived to get a unit as I was being relocated for work. To start I had to wait 30 minutes for the clerk to return. No sign in the door, but it was locked. I walk in to the office and the heat is on full blast, in September, In Georgia. I tell the sales associate exactly what I want. She launches into some rehearsed sales speech that includes questions about what I will be storing. I stop her and state again what I want, as I am on a time limit. We ride the cart out to a unit that is nothing like what I want, but she assures me will be perfect. On the ride back, the cart breaks down. Back in the office we do the paperwork and I get my access code. I try the code, which doesn’t work. I inform the sales associate and she uses her master code to let me in, assuring me the code will work when I need to leave. After unloading into the unit which is proving to be too small, I try to leave only to learn my code still does not work. I press the call button and get no answer. I try calling the office and get no answer. I walk to the office to find the clerk chatting with a friend who had paid her a visit. I tell her I am trapped in the lot and only then does she come and let me out. Then the other day, I go to pay my bill online only to find my rent has jumped $ 15 with no warning. I contact customer service, only to be told that I should review what I am storing and«look for a better option». Needless to say I am not happy with Public Storage.

Beverly provided me very good service with a warm manner. I was offered boxes to purchase, and everything was made very clear to me regarding my storage rental. I was able to take advantage of the $ 1.00 move in rate, but the internet«move in cost» estimation was extremely misleading because I wasn’t made aware up front of the lock fee($ 17.99) nor the mandatory insurance of $ 11.00-$ 15.00. I am on a SUPER tight budget and would have REALLY been appreciative of knowing these costs up front. My suggestion to the company is to PLEASE make your customers aware of these fees up front. I was seriously disappointed to not be made aware as I was counting on that money for other moving expenses. Regardless, Beverly is an absolute gem, and I really enjoyed my rapport with her.
