I’ve actually utilized their services and assisted with preparing the departed here. For a black owned business the customer service is good, suprisingly because I have done business with a black owned funeral home before and I was extremely dissatisfied. This is why it was our second time in trusting Watkins and his staff to handle our beloved. The prices are within your budget depending on how grand or modest you want your love one’s final appearance to be. The have a chapel to hold your service that’s 80’s style decorated, it’s dated, and needs a face lift. They have a sitting area that has that typical creepy funeral home funiture. They offer a variety of different styled programs depending on your taste. They are very helpful and accomodating. 3 out of 5 stars because I’ve done work in prettier funeral homes, all the money Watkins is making I know he can update his facilities especially the embalming room. I was shocked to see it in such disarray, I will leave it at that because I don’t want to gross people out who aren’t used to the behind the scenes part of a funeral. Overall my family was pleased with their service the two times we used them. Would we be back? Most likely when our time comes lol

OK. So how do you give a funeral home anything less than a 5 Star? It takes a special group of people to handle the remains of others, family, friends and loved ones. I know I ain’t bout to do it so they get an automatic A just for having the business. OKAY! This location is the 3rd Willie Watkins location that I have been to. And they are so professional and put together that it’s a little creepy to me. But someone has got to do it. So, at any rate, because I am very silly I sat here, during a funeral mind you, thinking things like«How many folks died before they got that part right». «What happens if your makeup runs due to heat?». «How did they get a casket this damn big!». Yeah, I walked around and viewed a few other bodies. Why??? You may be wondering… For this damn review. I did this all for the love of Unilocal… Otherwise I wouldn’t be casket checking just for the hell of it! If you happen to come to this location just remember that this is Douglasville so it’s a little bit Country but they are kind, loving and caring employees here. I believe they will do all that they can to make this most sad occasion for you and yours as pleasant as possible. Your dreams and or imagination can be fulfilled for the Home Going Celebrating of your liking. You can have a limo or even a horse drawn carriage bring the remains to their final resting place. Didn’t attend church? Don’t worry even heathens like myself, always missing church or with no home church can still have a lovely eulogy by one of the staff members here. Or you can do what yo mama told you to do and go to damn church! :-) Lord forgive me in advance.
