My husband took my daughter to The Bicycle Doctor to purchase cross country skis. She needed her equipment quickly and they went above and beyond to make sure she had what she needed to participate as a member of her high school ski team. We would highly recommend this business.

I went here after a few coworkers suggested it. I also didn’t want to go to wheel and sprocket. The associate took time with me as I had a lot of questions and I’m still a beginner. I didn’t make a purchase but I was able to narrow down what I wanted. When I called the other day, the associate was very nice and didn’t seem bothered by what I was asking about. Also, the prices here are way better than wheel and sprocket and they carry the same bikes. My only thought is that the shop seemed a little small, like there should’ve been more bikes. But I would support this business over a mainstream chain. I still plan on buying a bike and it will be from here.

I was hanging out in Wisconsin this past August for a few weeks and decidied to pick up a bike. Got one from Craigs List. and worked well. However riding around my hotel first day of my vacay I hit some glass and took my wheel out. Needed to find a bike shop. Got on Unilocal and headed down #67 to the Bicycle Doctor. They werent kidding about the construction. Got to the shop just before closing and they greeted me like the first customer of the day instead of the last :), Took care of me, gave me great advice, pointed out the trails adjacent to their shop, and sent me on my way very happy. About a week later heard some clanking noise from the derailer and gears and took it in to whom else? Again, warm greeting and great service. They knew this was just a play bike for the vacay so did what they could, test rode it multiple times and fixed what they could given my budget and sent me on my way again… HAPPY. No one likes spending bid dollars on vacations for those greenbacks going somewhere else however promised I would drop them a line on Unilocal to help any other tourists or locals in the area with bike issuees. These guys are PRO’s and know their product quite well and customer service is stellar. And they know their MILWAUKEEBREWERS talk too :) Thank you Bicycle Doctor for making my vacay GREAT!

Bicycle Doctor is a nice shop along the Glacial Drumlin Trail in Dousman. I’ve never biked this far west from Milwaukee before(37 miles) so it served as a good turn around and pit stop before I headed back downtown. I bought some riding gloves and Shot Bloks to give me energy to get home. They also serve beer here. If I had been on a leisurely ride, I would have given the beer more thought. Pricing was fair. After all, it’s bike stuff and bike stuff can be pricey.

I stopped in here briefly while waiting for one of our runners during Ragnar Relay. I had just finished my leg of the race and we had some time to kill. Mostly I just wanted to get out of the ridiculous heat, but I didn’t want to stay cooped up in the car. Bicycle Doctor was open and seemed like a good place to take advantage of the AC and look around. I was greeted when I entered and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I told the man working there that I was just looking and he let me know that he would be in the back and that I could just holler if I needed help with anything. I appreciated that he left me to browse and didn’t hover. They seemed to have a great selections of bikes and hiking/camping equipment, but I didn’t spend too much time really looking at those things. I was in a bit of a time crunch, so I pretty much went directly to the energy bars and supplements to pick up some more snacks. They had a number of options to chose from and I found a few flavors of Gu that I haven’t found at other health and recreation shops. The prices were a bit higher than I’ve found elsewhere, but nothing unreasonable. I paid about $ 6 for 2 packets of Gu and 1 packet of Roctain.

It was hard to even give this place one star. VERYOVERPRICED, «If you don’t want the best — go away» is the attitude often presented. My last purchase: I bought some ski poles, I wanted a pair ½ cm shorter, the sales person said«we can just cut them» shorter. I had done that in the past and knew it was a simple task. The sales clerk implied that modification was part of the purchase price. When I went to check out they charged me $ 10 to cut the poles. If you have money to burn this is the«cool» place for you!

Rented cross country skis for a quick ski weekend in southern kettle morraine. Largest selection of cross country skis in southern Wisconsin and Illinois. Also a bike shop all year round. Cool café where you can buy coffee, beer, sports drinks, etc.
