Boscov’s is an interesting place and I always like to check it out when I am there. However, the women’s fashion section is all grandma clothes. Terrible choices in that dept. Their clearance pricing and sale pricing is weird in that they never mark anything down physically, and they dont have those wall price checkers to determine what the price is.

I am a regular at Boscov’s whenever I am in Dover. The sales are really great and a coupon from the paper gets you more discounts. Typically, if I don’t have a coupon, the sales associate will offer one. On this trip, I made a visit to the Ticketmaster desk located upstairs. I ordered the tickets online and wanted to avoid Will Call and was not given the option to print them. Since the show(Mindless Behavior in D.C.) was the next day, I opted to pick up the tickets at the local retailer, Boscov’s. Service was quick and uneventful. I presented I.D. along with my confirmation # and the tickets were printed for me. This service was very convenient. One of the few gems in Dover.

We had time to kill at the Mall when we showed up at the wrong time for a movie. I hadn’t been to Boscov’s lately, so we figured we’d head down there and look around. First of all, they’ve replaced their sporting goods department with an As Seen On TV department. They never had a whole lot of sporting goods, but they used to have interesting stuff, and the occasional really good deal. It’s where I bought my golf clubs and my favorite pair of boxing gloves. Now you can buy«Comfy Jeans»(no pockets or zippers!) and all manner of other horribly tacky nonsense. The rest of the store was pretty unremarkable. The whole place has the air of a slowly withering department store in a slowly dying Mall, pretty depressing.
