East Dragon Karate Academy

I started training at East Dragon at the age of 25. Sensei Roberts approach to teaching traditional Isshinryu is fun and practical. He constantly provides the practical self defense application to every movement and every form. The Dojo is bigger than most in this area and extremely clean. The classmates are friendly and while sparring can sometimes be intense, this is not a Dojo with a superman/​macho vibe. This is a great place for adults and kids to train Karate.

Along with my three children I have been a member of East Dragon Karate Academy for 8 years. Sensi Roberts is an excellent instructor who focuses on the capabilities and needs of each individual student. He has extensive knowledge of many forms of martial arts which leads to a deeper understanding of the techniques and applications taught. The Dojo is impeccably clean, well maintained and includes both men and women locker rooms. This is an excellent family oriented business that also has the ability to challenge advanced martial arts students. Along with improving and maintaining our physical fitness, martial arts training has improved the mental focus of my children and me which has contributed to their success as students and varsity athletes as well as my success as a business executive.
