We checked in early, but were specifically told we would only be charged for one night. Upon check out, we were charged for two nights and told that the only the manager could fix it, but that she was unavailable. This was not just for one room but for six. Additionally, at least half of us got terrible sleep due to the paper thin walls. One star for close proximity to chick fil a but very disappointing and rude service.

I’ve been staying here now for a few days and so far been satisfied until this morning. This morning when I rolled out of bed the side corner of the bed sheet had flipped up to reveal a nasty stain on the mattress. I pulled back the entire bedding to reveal a horrible brownish red stain that looked like someone had been murdered previously in this bed. Why would you not replace a mattress that would cost you maybe a few thousand and instead have a guest surprised by this discovery which could have a negative blemish on this hotel’s reputation. I let the woman at the front desk know and she said we can move you to another room and she also said we’re not sure what would be available and will look into this matter. She asked me, what made me pull back the sheets on the mattress. I feel that her attitude towards me was a lack of concern considering the situation.

Nice hotel on a busy thoroughfare near the speedway and casino. Like the modern lobby and breakfast seating area. The pool and exercise room are excellent — the jets in the hot tub are vigorous, not weak like some. The room was clean and beds comfortable. They’re not the most spacious, but we weren’t staying here to remain in the room. I left my phone charger accidentally and realized it right when I returned home. I called and they said they found it and agreed to mail it. That’s excellent customer service.

The hotel is on the Coastal HWY, just below Lewes DE. If you are going south, it is on your left and you have to go down to the next traffic light and take a U turn to get back to it. There was plenty of free parking and the desk staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and the hotel looked pretty new. There were plenty of electrical outlets and free wifi. Breakfast is included in the nightly price and is served on the first floor. There were decent choices and included scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereals, fruit, oatmeal, and pastries. It is served from 7 – 11 which is nice if you like to sleep in a bit. It was an enjoyable stay. Prices in the area are high during the season but compared to others with similar prices, I think it was a good option.

I like the Fairfield Inn in Dover. It’s a little more out dated than the near by Residence Inn. But the staff is great, good breakfast, nice little exercise room. The rooms on Dupont Highway can be a little noisy. The key for me is you get double the Marriott Rewards points at the Fairfield than you do at the Residence Inn. So overall Two thumbs up…

I stayed here in September 2014. We had a big group and the checkin was fast. My room was clean and it had plenty of space to enjoy entertaining friends. I’ve stayed in more expensive places that didn’t have this much space or the nice customer service that this one had. When we were checking out, the weather was awful. It was pouring rain and the hotel customer service people were terrific and offered us trash bags to cover ourselves to get to the bus without getting soaked.

I am on the fence about my stay at this hotel. I am aware it isn’t a fancy hotel, but I was woken up constantly by noises next door, upstairs, and in the hallway. Also the couch in the room was pretty dirty. Lastly, the business center did not have Microsoft Office so we couldn’t open a document to print. that seems like a necessity.

This one is worn out dank and dirty. Time to cascade it to a lesser brand or get new management. My room smelled like a porta-potty with roaches. Management unapologetic and unresponsive when i asked to talk to franchise owner. I am told the Marr. Property behind it is okay.

I have stayed 1939 nights at Marriott properties and this was by far the worse experience I have ever had while trying to check in. My reservation was for two nights and upon my arrival I asked for a room away from the traffic. NO. With my status as a Platinum Premier I asked for a upgraded room. Yes, but I would have to move tomorrow because the hotel was sold out!!! This was unacceptable to me and their unwillingness to help out in this matter. Therefore, I contacted the Marriott Platinum Premier line and canceled the reservation completely. Thus bringing my whole thoughts about loyalty to Marriott into question.

I stayed here a week and found it to be above average in the quality of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff, and the accommodations. Then again, when you’re paying $ 100+ a night for the room, I think this kind of hospitality should come complimentary. Stupid as it sounds, I liked how the breakfast buffet contained some healthier options like yogurt and fruit cups. The coffee could use some work, though.

All customer service facing people should be this friendly! Hotel is good too and seems like they’ve recently remodeled the lobby and rooms.

I love the design of the lobby and the bright green patterned carpet and decorative accents in the rooms. I was also pleased with the speed of the Internet(during the day). My room was clean but the beds were small. The staff was pleasant. I was not impressed with their continental breakfast selection because I’ve been to other hotels with more, but they do have a variety of hot and cold items. And the breakfast staff was very friendly! Overall, I was pleased with my stay. Rating: 3

Clean, nicely decorated modern rooms and common areas. Free breakfast buffet, friendly staff, LCDTV, mini fridge, microwave, wired and wireless Internet, and no bedbugs! What more can you ask for. It’s is a nice place in a convenient location. No creepy doors that face the outside of the building. BTW– If you stay here, take the 45 minute drive down to Dogfish Head!
