Our buying, delivery, and service experience at the Mt. Clemens store has been outstanding! Darren our salesman, Larry the finance person, Mike the manager and Kristen the service department person who took care of us, as well as the guys who did the walk through and explained everything about our new RV to us were all outstanding. No high pressure tactics, they all took their time with us, answered all of our questions and made sure we were satisfied all along the way, even with the small details. For example, at delivery we decided we wanted a slide out awning cover installed… Kristen and the guys in the service department stopped what they were doing and got us taken care of on the spot with the installation happening while we were waiting. Everyone in Service were in a word, Outstanding! This is not our first RV but it is our first trailer and even though we live closer to the Birch Run store, much closer in fact, after shopping in Birch Run, based on our total experience from the product, follow-​up but especially our total experience and the people we worked with, not only will we make the hour and a half trip to the Mt. Clemens store in the future, we will recommend the General RV Center in Mt. Clemens to any of our friends and family in the future. Very pleased, 5 out of 5 stars from us!

We are looking for a used camper. We visited General rv because we were told over the phone they had campers on sight in our price range. The salesman, John, seemed very nice until he found out we did not want to spend 20,000. He wanted all of our personal info before he showed us a camper. ?? When my husband asked why he gave his an attitude. We should have walked out then! The first camper had holes in the screens and smelled like death but when we didn’t like the camper he said «why?» Very rudely. I asked if he had anything else. He had to go look. after some waiting he took us to a second camper. Did not bother to find out the price. When I asked if they inspect the water tanks, ect. he said it doesn’t have any tanks? Didn’t know how much a license plate would cost. Didn’t know anything about the camper at all. When we tried to leave because he had no info he asked why we were leaving if we didn’t even have a price yet. He was not only rude but completely incompetent! We have owned campers before and had great customer service in the parts dept. but we will NEVER return. I would rather pay more and drive farther than to give my money to a company that employes such a jerk! Worst salesperson I have ever had. hands down. We went to anothe rv dealer and had wonderful service. Spend more than we planned and are very happy.

Just left there trying to buy a toter to haul our car trailer. They had very inattentive, lazy sales team. We wandered the lot for about 10 minutes before having to go in to look for help — how often does that ever happen! !! We passed a guy in his office staring at his phone so went up to the receptionist and told her what we were shopping for. She then took us right back to the guy on his phone. He said no, they didn’t have anything like that. So, obviously he was listening to us talking to the receptionist but never chimed in to be of any assistance. We were looking for a 24 ft hauler but they only carried what was on the lot he said. We asked if we could order what needed — nope. No offer to help us get anything. It was either get what was on his lot, or it didn’t exist attitude. I get much nicer, friendlier, helpful people when I spend $ 5 at McDonald’s

Worst customer service ever was told they had a item in stock 3 different times and three trips to the store nope don’t have it.

Awesome Service. Thought it would be neat to rent a rv for a week. I do not know the first thing about a rv. John was very helpful in helping us select the right rv for our journey/​vacation. Showed us how to operate the rv, and had lots of great tips on how to use it. Over all a fun week. Thanks again John

Taking the family out west this year and went in for quote on RV rental. John, the General Manager, says he’s been there for 30+ years was the ‘salesperson’. He was about as charming as a viper! Swore exorbinantly and was very rude! When asked if they offer a military discount (we are an Air Force family on active duty currently), he blantantly and unapologetically stated, «No, and DON’T try to make me feel bad either!»
Unless you like being treated in a cold, dismissive fashion, do NOT go here on your life!
