I can’t believe there are any negative reviews. These folks must have the Grey Fox mixed up with some other restaurant. Their burgers are the best, never frozen. They have wonderful entrees and unique(tasty) sandwiches. Beautiful atmosphere and great waitstaff. Love this place!!!

Nice place. A.J. at the bar provided excellent service. Good selection of local and regional beers on tap. I had a NY strip steak that was cooked just right. Nice atmosphere, good place for an intimate date, or to socialize at the bar. A couple at the bar near me had beef wellington that looked & smelled fantastic. This place has been a restaurant for years(formerly W.T. Smithers) but it had been closed for a while. It’s good to see the place open again. Also good to see another place open in downtown Dover to give people a reason to get away from the chain restaurants on the highway and head downtown.

I came on Sat. night to look at the menu. I was greeted by a very welcoming hostess. She informed me on the lunch, dinner and brunch items. She also encouraged me to look around. I found the use of space was done extremely well. My guest and were blown away by Sun. Brunch! In spite of being short handed on servers, waitress Maggie took care of use with precision. The Tater tots are something special! The flavors in the shrimp & grits and the crab benedict were wonderful. The coffee was fresh and hot. Also, compliments on the music selections! Now Grey Fox Grill Staff, you can’t be short handed this Sunday because I’m telling everyone about you! There should be a line out of the door. This place is off the chain!!!

Decide to try this fairly new restaurant on a recent weeknight. I had the Scotch Eggs appetizer as my meal. Two hard-cooked eggs, wrapped in sausage, lightly breaded and deep-fried. Served with thin shredded fried potatoes. Yum! Friendly, attentive service.

Delicious food. First time here. I had the mushroom ravioli. Crab and risotto balls. My boyfriend had the beef Wellington. It was a little overdone. Seasoned asparagus were great. You must try tots. With cheese and bacon on them.

Stopped by for apps with friends. Had the cheese board, tots, and chicken skewers. Everything amazing and the bartender was awesome.

First, they did not have Wellington, quinoa, tiramisu, one of the ales, baklava, and only had one potato by the time we arrived for our reservation. Our waiter forgot our soup and messed up two of our orders, to which he replied, «I can’t control the fact that I was busy and forgot your soup». Only«vegetable» was tatertots, which were worse than those from Sonic. And I am being nit-picky but two of the words were mispelled on the menu. Oh, and the owner called us a liar when we mentioned that alot of the foods were not available, but not before she sat and chatted with her daughter at the table across from us for about 5 – 10 minutes.

Very well run and warm home feeling. Lunch was fast and great. Staff was polite and professional dressed. Definitely the new place to have lunch.

Beautifully re-done building, with an especially good eye to color and wall decoration. This is a welcome update to a beautiful old building in Old Dover. Lots of private rooms, so it’s a great location for meeting lunches and dinners. Sadly, the food is the usual atrocity committed on Delaware diners. The lunch menu had sandwiches, soups, salads, and a «stuffed baked potato.» Those are nice for those of us who don’t want to eat a sandwich. Well, this potato was from three or four days before, roasted and then refrigerated. By the time it was served, the inside had congealed and gotten somewhat slimey, as potatoes do, and it was dark brown inside. Anyone with the basics of cooking knows what happens to baked potatoes that are refrigerated. The potato was so stiff, the prep person had trouble opening it for«stuffing» so it had a sorry strip of sour cream, «chives»(green onion tops) and a few bits of stale bacon. How hard is it to microwave a fresh potato, seeing as you’re not baking one that day? Very embarrassing. The side salad was iceberg lettuce in largish pieces(not easy to eat) and a few thin slices of cottony tomato and translucent, limp cucumber, strewn with red onion. Not interesting in the least, and not even a decent side salad. The rest of the diners’ meals were similarly unimpressive and greasy looking. The soups looked like dog food. The general consensus is they need to step up the cuisine. I mean, it needs to be cuisine, not cleaning out the fridge. I’m constantly astonished at the low level of food preparation knowledge in Delaware. But here it is, on the opening day of a beautiful new place. I’d be putting my best foot(food) forward, not cleaning out the back of the cooler.

We were disappointed. First time ever Unilocal reviews let us down. Excellent location, quaint converted house with hard wood floors — but that creates a very noisy environment. Waiter greeted us with a litany of everything they were out of before we even opened the menu. Waiter was not well versed with the menu and we often had to ask him for clarification as he stumbled. We ordered the filet and after we finished salads — which were surprisingly scimpy — waiter informed us filet was gone. So rather than offer the t-bone or something, he left to retrieve the menu again. I would have expected an offer something for the inconvenience, but nothing. The crab cakes were underwhelming. Served with«out of the jar» tartar and cocktail sauce. Really sad.

Having only been open for about a month, I would expect there to be some hiccups, but not as many as there were tonight. On first sitting down our waiter informed us that three of the main entrees were not available — something their website fails to mention. Both I and one of my companions had our hearts set on the Beef Wellington. If you aren’t going to offer it, why is it on the menu? maybe it should be offered as a special.(There were no specials tonight.) The available entrees were limited, but the filet I had was truly cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The side dishes were even more limited than the entrees. FIngerling potatoes, quinoa, and mixed vegetables were all that was available. Though I must say, the potatoes and vegetables were excellent. Server was fine and very friendly, but had to check twice whether something was allowed. The wine list was OK, but seriously lacking in white wine selections. Is was almost like there was a section of the list missing. All in all, a very promising place for Dover. I can only hope they get it together and complete their menu

This building now looks gorgeous after undergoing a serious renovation. With friendly wait staff, and some of the best burgers in Delaware, this isn’t a place to pass up.

renovated and beautiful now. New owners took over what was a dive bar and made it amazing. Great food, great service and a really comfortable bar.
