Pan Pizza Bakery

My voyage begins on a dark, late Christmas Eve making the journey via treacherous subway lines, then onto the perilous NJ transit to Dover. Upon my timely arrival, I began looking for someplace that was open to unburden my heavy load. I stumbled upon this bakery with bright fluorescent lights that burned my vulernable eyes…
Alright, enough of that! My brother was stuck in traffic from PA and I needed to find a place to wait in what seemed to be a sketchy area. While waiting in the bakery, naturally I looked them up on Unilocal (what else was I going to do?) and read the rave comments about their beef and chicken empanadas! I decided to see what all the fuss was about. Bought the last of their supply… half a dozen of each for the family to try along with their flavorful, not spicy (to me) red sauce.
Later that night… the welcomed (oozing sarcasm), critical and unsolicited critiques started pouring in from various family members including the very opinionated kiddos! The filling while moist, was bland. The dough was crumbly and stale as if they had been sitting out too long or perhaps from the previous day. I have to say, I agreed with them! The only consensus seemed to be that everyone enjoyed the accompanying red sauce!
Side note — they were kind enough to let this temporarily stranded New Yorker wait inside until her ride showed up, even though they had closed for the day.

I ordered 3 dozen empanadas for a holiday party. Mixture of beef and chicken. They only needed half hour notice. Friendly service. The empanadas were hot and fresh. Everyone loved them. They all went, not one empanada left. Reasonably priced. Will definitely come back.

This place has the best empanadas in Dover! I only come here for them! The sauce is the seller! I tend to take shots of remaining sauces left and doesn’t bother me what so ever! I definitely recommend to everyone I know to come here! Never had anything else there just the empanadas! A+!!

The chorizo, chicharron and especially the empanadas are awesome. I’ve never tried the pastries but they look and smell amazing. Whenever I’m in dover I try to stop by and grab some empanadas. They are open late, and nothing soaks up booze quite like a delicious beef empanada.

They have the best, most authentic Colombian empanadas you will ever eat. They are so delicious!!! They also make a «salsa» to go with the empanadas in-​house. They also have other baked goods that are yummy but they’re mostly known for the empanadas! Sooooooo good!!!

Stopped here on my way to my photographer. My gf said these were the best empanadas and very inexpensive (she got the chicken)
My gf told me to edit this… They were way too greasy — she got queasy.
