Polisenos’ Pizza

Pizza is not good for the area not in general. I don’t think that we should rate pizza by the area. Good Pizza is good pizza no matter where we are. This pizza is not all that great. The place inside is not all that great either. I would not recommend eaten by inside m. I also don’t recommend this pizza. Perhaps I’m just used to Sicilian Pizza from NY & Central Jersey. Either way, I’m missing great pizza here in Dover :(

I have been a customer of Poliseno’s for over five years now, and just had the most disappointing meal ever! It seems they have changed their burger/​chicken sandwiches. I ordered
mayo, tomato and lettuce on my grilled chicken and the mayo was so thick my roll couldn’t handle it. It literally fell apart. Also, my chicken was pieces, not a grilled chicken breast, like it used to be. My spouse had a similar problem with the double cheeseburger falling apart. We also ordered broccoli bites. They used to be these lovely little pillows, like mini-​croquettes. Today they were these flat, fishy tasting nasties! I don’t know if they have changed the whole menu, but if they’ve changed their pizza, we definitely won’t be ordering here again!

The pizza here is fantastic! I had a cheese and supreme slice. I also had the stuffed shells which were good. Don’t be turned away from the appearance of the building, it’s a hidden gem in Dover! Will be returning!

Good pizza for this area and the menu has good variety. The prices are fair. Delivery us usually accurate but sometimes a little slow. Don’t let the location in a gas station influence your choice to go here.

Since my regular pizza spot across from Delaware state is now closed this is my new pizza spot and the awesome thing is that they always have single slices available to purchase and ready to eat within five minutes I’m a very happy customer
The food is good is that he’s awesome and I’m definitely a happy customer who will recommend this place

Absolutely terrible
I ordered from here for the first time tonight and it will be the last time. I wanted pizza fries and they sent me cheddar fries. After having me wait for over an hour. When I called back to get an explanation and what I ordered the man with a foreign accent was the rudest human being on the planet. He hung up on me twice talked over me and was rude to anyone that tried to talk to them. The cheddar fries were terrible as were the pizza fries. Do yourself a favor do not order from them EVER!

I don’t live in DE, but I come here every time I visit Dover. I only come for the pizza so that’s all I can speak on. Pizza is great. I love it. It’s always hot and cheesy, and the toppings are fresh. The people taking orders are always friendly and the pizza comes out fast. I think the prices are pretty fair, and they have lunch specials all day. Also, all meat toppings are beef which is good since I don’t really eat pork.
I would give it 5 stars, but the inside is a little dingy, the sauce is slightly sweet at times and sometimes they don’t cut the slices thoroughly.

We have been staying in a hotel for 12 days. This place was recommended to us by the hotel staff and both times we ordered it the food arrived fast, hot, exactly how we ordered it, and the pricing was cheap! We got pizza and wings the first time and second time was the calzone and seafood platter… this is a recommend!

Disappointing!
Come on people… can anyone get good delivery food in Dover?! Not here– that’s for sure!
Our order:
Chicken Fingers and fries. Gourmet Hawaiian Pizza. Two salads– one side, one caesar.
Total Bill (with tip) $ 36 yikes!
First let me begin by saying we placed our order around 4:00 and were quoted a delivery time of 30 – 45 minutes. The food didn’t arrive until 5:20!
By then… you can imagine that nothing was exactly piping hot. The fries were greasy, limp and inedible… and the chicken fingers were disgusting. Rubbery flat formed pieces that you might expect to find in a cheap cafeteria.
The pizza was a bit more tolerable– though unimpressive. We should have rewarmed it… alas hindsight!
Most of our order went into the garbage bin… I wanted to call and complain to the pizzeria considering the complete lack of quality for the price– but my husband wouldn’t let me. Instead you can read about my experience here and hopefully save yourself the disappointment by not ordering from this place… ever! YUCK!
