Excellent food! I have eaten here about ten times and tried several dishes. My favorite lunch spot is here.

I give it 4 stars because the food is delicious but the staff is the weirdest out of all the restaurants we have visited. One time we paid with debit card the next they told us cash only. They said they never excepted debit and just stared at us. We always wanted to go back because of the food, but due to the awkwardness we never went back.

We really enjoyed our meal. It was $ 30 for 3 people and it was too much food. We have been to Salvador so we were excited to try the pupusas. I think they measured up! We didn’t care for the loroco, but I think that is a matter of personal preference. It was clean and the waitress friendly. Just had a second visit, and it was delicious! My sister and family(who lived in San Salvador for four years) enjoyed it and asked to return again while they are visiting.

To start, I only gave four stars because they only accept cash. I ordered bistec con huevos(steak with a fried egg on top) and pollo a la plancha.(Grilled chicken.) The steak was DELICIOUS! Cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. Very juicy and flavorful, not at all dry. I got two large poured of steak which came with grilled onions on top. I hate onions by themselves, so I can’t comment, but they added great flavor to the meat. My sides were rice and platanos. I have nothing bad to say. The chicken came with pico de gallo on top. It was yummy, not at all overcooked. It was not as delicious and seasoned as the steak. I should add that I did get more meat with the steak entrée. I can’t comment on service since I ordered delivery, but my order came in a timely fashion and there were no mistakes. :) The prices are more than affordable. Especially for the large portions. I think it was $ 22 total for the two meals. Definitely going to return to this place!

I have been going here since it opened and I adore their papusas. The closest I can get to authentic El Salvador food. Highly recommend it however most of the staff is not fluent in english so just be polite and slow when ordering.

The lunch menu is very good and the prices are even better. I would give them 5 stars, but the bathroom needs an update.

Authentic pupusas and all food served hot and fresh! They only take CASH but on a good note it’s right across a Chase Bank.

Service is a little slow, but the papousas are fantastic. My husband and I tried the pork and cheese, chorizo and chicken papousas. Our favorite was the pork papousa. We had the fried yucca with chicharron with cabbage and that was excellent as well. We tried their seafood soup and beef soup and it was just mediocre. We definitely be back for the papousas but will skip the soup. This place deserves 3 ½ stars.

Was looking for some place different and picked this between reviews here and on the urbanspoon. The place has about 15 tables, and is modestly decorated. Nothing fancy but completely acceptable. Started with Pasteles de Carne, which is hard to explain but I’ll try as it was the best thing we had there — its like a fried taco shell, that was marinated in some sort of tomato sauce, stuffed with beef, rice and vegetables. Topped with cabbage, cilantro, tomatoes, and crumbled queso fresco. It was nothing short of fantastic. And only $ 2.50! We also had pupusa stuffed with chorizo and cheese, which was good also. For the main course I had Bandeja sal vadorena, which is the typical platter with steak. It came with crème fresh, fried sweet plantains, 2 fried eggs, rice, refried beans(which were great, like none other I’ve ever had), avocado, queso fresco(a small slice of farmer cheese), and steak — which was very very good. My gf had carne asada — steak served on a sizzling platter with fresh pico de gallo, super good! Beans and rice which were fantastic for the side. It came with a condiments platter of a homemade tomato dipping/scooping sauce that was very good, almost like a gazpacho — jalapenos, and a cole slaw type of thing, but was more acidic, but was good, again nothing like I’ve had before. And on top of all that — homemade tortillas. These tortillas were just made — awesome! All this for $ 30! Really really good place. BYOB.

If you are looking for a nice ambiance you are in a wrong place but the food is really good and affordable, their tamales and pupusas are the really good, you should try it, for $ 20 you can get a meal for 2. I really like this place!

In my long search to find a Salvadoran restaurant this is the only option I have turned up in the area. The place is small, but the staff is friendly and will often strike up a conversation with you. The pupusas are pretty good, not the best I’ve had but certainly worth a try. They offer loroco, cheese, refried beans, and cheese. They do offer lunch specials which don’t seem to vary much. For under $ 10 you can get a plate with beans, rice, meat, and a drink. Their meals were pretty comparable to other restaurants in the immediate area in Dover. While I’ve enjoyed my meals there, the pupusas are the only thing that really jumps out from other restaurants in the neighborhood.
