River Bend Variety

I haven’t been here in about a year but my last visit was horrible. The woman who owns the restaurant intentionally started an argument with my wife over the fact they changed their french fries and didn’t make anyone aware of this. The fries were for my 3 year old daughter who loved their fries. When we got our order they were different than the fries we have always been use to getting. Upon realizing this my wife asked if we could have the old type of fries or get our money back since my daughters would not eat the new type of fries. The lady made the old type of fries and upon bringing them to the table informed my wife that her request was unreasonable and we were lucky she was nice enough to make us new fries because she didn’t have to accommodate us at all. My wife upon hearing this simply stated to not solve the problem would have been horrible customer service. The lady then started screaming at us to the point where my daughter started crying and we gathered up our food and left. I will never go back to this place and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

The best steak and cheese I have ever had IMO. But I have ordered a lot of stuff and never had anything that wasn’t good. The people are always friendly. Just a great place to get good food.

I just had a scoop of the most incredible ice cream here! They serve ice cream from a local creamery. It was simply amazing! Try the almond joy. My friend raves about the steak and cheese. He says «best he’s had outside of Philly».

Good steak and cheese. Tries to be like Bob Nadeau’s out of the Manchester area a little too much. I prefer cold veggies on the Nadeau’s sub which I asked for here; unfortunately they put the hot steak and cheese on top of it all. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Excellent steak and cheese subs, although the steak portion may be seen as skimpy, they use tips and a tasty au jus like gravy under the cheese. Avoid the pizza.

Don’t let the exterior fool you, best steak and cheese in town.
