Great Yarn shop! Was in the area from San Francisco and needed some yarn to keep me busy over the holidays. Nice selection of yarn and needles! And amazing local yarns– Harrisville and Swan’s Island! The owner was super nice and helpful! Just wish I had more time to spend there just wanted to come and sit and knit

Nice store. Beautiful yarns. Great location. I would give them 5 stars but they didn’t have very many crochet hooks to choose from and they didn’t have the size I was looking for.

I’m a beginning knitter who just moved to Dover, and was struggling with a seaming problem, so I decided to bring my knitting over to Spinning Yarns to see if they wouldn’t mind helping me through it. Margot(the owner, I assume) didn’t even blink an eye when I showed her my project– she took the time to teach me how to do a particular stitch, and then even watched me seam for a while, to make sure I had it down pat. I can’t speak more highly of how nice and helpful she was, and I’m so excited to go back and buy some beautiful yarn!

Visiting in the area. Nice, contemporary selection of yarns. Madelinetosh, Artyarns, tahki, dream in color as well as staple yarns like cascade 220 and berroco. The owner was friendly and helpful.

This store has a lot to offer in a small, cozy space. There are yarns for every taste and for every type of project, but there are definitely more luxury yarns than most other shops this size. The woman who was tending the store(the owner, I assume) is so friendly and attentive that I will be back as soon as possible. I live far away from this shop but I will stop in whenever we get down to New Hampshire. She told me that she has great sales a couple of times a year and I have plans to take a trip down to her shop when she sends the notice to those who are on her email list… I don’t usually sign up for the email list when I am visiting shops while on vacation but this store totally won me over and I will be going down to visit them again.

Having been disappointed at another store I drove an hour to Dover. As an advanced knitter, when I enter a store I’m usually looking for something specific. I expect to be greeted and offered help. For a novice, yarn stores can be intimidating and I think it’s important to put people at ease with friendly attention. Spinning Yarns is both. They bend over backward to accommodate.

This is a fantastic Local Yarn Store. They’ve got a great selection in a variety of weights, brands, and colors. They’ve always been super friendly and they really know their stuff. I just finished taking a class there on Thursday nights and it was awesome. I love this shop and I’m super glad that it’s my LYS :)

A nice local yarn store. Pretty good selection, including a few yarns I’d never seen before. The staff was friendly but not pushy. The prices are about average. I didn’t find anything I needed to have, and walked out empty handed. But I did see some nice stuff and got some new ideas for things to work on. I don’t know if this is a go-to shop for me, but I wouldn’t mind stopping in next time we’re in town.

Awesomest yarn shop around. Owner and staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and will go out of their way to help you out. Classes(aka social hours) for all levels of knitters. A project and yarn for everyone, whether it’s a scarf or your dream sweater made from hand-painted South American yarn. Check it out!
