The waitstaff was nice. That’s about the only positive thing I can say about my experience. I was baffled by the presentation and quality of our appetizer and the lobster roll had minimal filling, was not seasoned, and the roll was soggy. The fries were a quartered potato, burnt on the outside, nearly raw in the inside. I really really wanted to like this place cause I like supporting local non-chain restaurants, but I will never eat here again

I wish I could give this place a better rating, but I can’t. Tried it for dinner and for breakfast. I don’t think its been remodeled in 40 years. Robert Irvine would have a field day. Food is bland and unimaginative. Not even sure my grandmother would like it. I would never eat there again.

The function room is a great space for a baby/bridal shower! The room size is great for a small intimate party. Great idea if you don’t have the room at your house or the energy or time to make the food for a party. The prices are reasonable and Sherri the manager is willing to work with you.

Yum! I had breakfast here while attending a Chris Christie town hall and returned later in the week for lunch with my husband. Very friendly service. Chicken parm sandwich was delicious perfection! Hot, crispy, huge filet of real chicken on a soft roll with just enough sauce and cheese. Nice to meet one of the owners who came around to say hello. Lots of menu choices — will be back!

Never having eaten at this restaurant before, and being in the area and very hungry, my wife and I decided to drop in for a late lunch [around 2ish]. First I thought they were closed because only one or two cars were in the parking lot. Could have well been due to the day after Christmas. Once inside we found only one other couple eating. We were assigned a waitress that had a very pleasant personality. I ordered the haddock sandwich with rings and my wife had a bowl of seafood chowder and a cobb salad. Their claim on the menu is that they have the best seafood, and, although not seafood but wanting seafood or fish, found my haddock dry and the onion rings soggy. I will say the portions were very good, certainly more than we could eat. To their credit my wife’s seafood chowder came piping hot as she likes it which is unusual today at most restaurants you visit. Her cobb salad was just OK. They claim on the menu that they have the best seafood in the area so I took a chance on the fish. I am usually a firm believer that if you can’t smell the ocean [maybe a bit of an exaggeration] don’t order fish or seafood. Anyway we were disappointed and simply won’t return.

Went for dinner one evening and should have taken note of how dead they were. Boxed mashed potatoes, mushy canned veggies for the veggie special, and salty tough meat. Dinning room was«clean», but outdated and musty. Won’t be going back.

I don’t have a whole lot to say about Strafford Farms, other than it’s not my favorite and it’s a little underwhelming. Just… meh.

Several trips were all underwhelming. I’ve been here a few times — once each for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and then a couple of trips to the Ice Cream window. They’re not a horrible place. But they do tend not really be what I hoped for. The breakfast trip was perfectly fine. There were decent options available, and the price and sizes were all good. They’re big enough in dining space that, even on a weekend, there wasn’t a problem getting a table. On my lunch trip, it was ok. Nothing really went wrong. Service was fine. They have a big menu. But the food was just ok. No problems. Just not exciting. We went here for dinner with a large group. They were very accommodating, had space set up in advance for us, and were very pleasant. The menu is very diverse, so there is no problem finding something to suit everyone’s taste. But again, it’s just ok. Everyone there is great to deal with. They seem to try. The food is just nothing special. In addition, I made 2 different trips here for the Ice Cream window. Both times I found the ice cream to come out very soft and melt very quickly. You almost have no choice but to get it in a cup. They are very good sized portions of ice cream for the price, and there are many options. Although, on my last trip there, which was later at night, the first 3 flavors I tried ordering were all out. What I ended up with was good, but did have a hint that it had been frozen too long(but still melted quickly). So, I don’t hate this place. It’s a good breakfast option. But, for everything else, it just doesn’t stand out and doesn’t go to the top of any of my lists.

They have the best gluten free bread. Had toast for breakfast. Waitress Diane was very helpful and gave us great service. Would definitely go again. Great food and service

I went for lunch in the afternoon. Practically no one was there. I expected to be tended to fairly quickly, but it was a decent wait considering no one was there. I found it a little odd that you seated yourself. I feel like that’s half the reason you don’t get someone to give you a menu very quickly. Once we did get our menus, it felt like we were an after thought. Quite a while before our order was actually taken. The food was pretty good. I had seafood chowder in a bread bowl which was excellent. Just wish the service was more prompt.

The host at the door was very rude. We came in 25 min before closing and she ignored us, making us stand in the lobby for 15 minutes(no exaggeration) 4 feet from her while talking to another customer .My assumption was she wanted us to leave Then, she made it known, TWICE that they were closing and pretty much to hurry. SHe then proceeded to tell us twice that the waitress did not get her order in yet and she had to take our order(waitress was busy, already taken our order three minutes prior) we were done our dinner and paid before the parties that were already there were done because of the feeling rushed feeling we now had. FOod was fabulous and our server Rachael did a great job!!! The host is the face of the business and they really need a replacement, maybe with someone who wants to work.

This place has never knocked my socks off, BUT if you need breakfast, it will do. When my in-laws were in town they stopped in several times, and now it’s our go to for weekend breakfasts with our 3 year old. Always pretty fast.

For the most part food is pretty good, nothing is extremely spectacular, but pizza and omelets are among their best. Have gone here for many years but last ½ dozen times or so we’ve been really grossed out by how worn down and dirty things have gotten. especially the loft booths are ripped and stained and generally grubby feeling. the bathroom floor(womens at least) are always sticky. Dont even grt me started on the disgusting carpets, yeesh… such a shame because the people that work there r great but in my opinion some attention needs to be given to cleaning and sprucing up.

I use to enjoy this resturant, but over the last few times it has quickly deteriorated. I went to the loft the other night with my wife and to start off the table had a dirty napkin and dirty silverware nicely put out on it. The guiness had a stale after taste of cigaretts and the buffalo wings were horrible, basic crappy buffalo sauce i could buy in any store and the actual chicken must have been the cheapest wings they could order from thier supplier. The food quality is absolutley horrible and the service matches it.

I sat at the bar and ordered a grinder, The food was ok, nothing special. Since the place was almost empty, I expected better food and service. An annoying aspect was that the bartender was so absorbed with talking to his friends, I might as well have not been there. I will not be a repeat customer.

First off there are 3 sections: The Loft, The back40 and the diner section. They are housed within Strafford Farms(same owners etc). We used to go to the Back 40 with the kids for a hamburger and shake and noticed every week it just got dirtier and dirtier. The last time we went I actually threw out the hamburgers because they tasted as though the meat had spoiled. I have worked in several restaurants and their simply no excuse for not cleaning. Everything is dirty, the booths, floors, baseboards and the grill. What really got me angry was I pulled into the parking lot and noticed that one of the employees was washing the boss’s car! Seriously!!!

Excellent customer service. The food is mostly fresh. With a homemade feel to it. The food usually comes out semi warm. It almost seems they copied an assembly line like at a mill. Make the food. Place it in the holder. Re heat to kinda of warm when needed. The bathrooms are gross. The ceiling tiles looks like they have survived the flood of the century. The dining room is fairly neat. The rugs are nasty. It feels like you are about to have family meal at Grammy’s house. They run out of menu items as well at times. It’s to bad. Never had a bad customer service experience. If they could get the food and restaurant right it could be an excellent place.

We came for breakfast one morning. I ordered an omelet with spinach, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers and cheese plus a side of bacon. The omelet that was delivered to me was rather large. And the eggs were very fluffy — makes me think they add pancake batter to the eggs — which if they are doing, would prefer they not do this. Will have to ask next time if I visit here again. I asked for hot sauce to go with my omelet. Of course they brought out Tabasco sauce — they had no other offering. The omelet was well executed technically — but again I am wondering what ingredients they added to the eggs… The bacon was excellent, service was good…

Went to the Loft upstairs yesterday for lunch! Very friendly, traditional restaurant. Nice bar, 3 tvs, friendly happy bartender and wait staff, GREAT food!!! The chicken tenders are the best I’ve ever had! Their guacamole is fabulous! Great place for all ages. Family friendly! Happy hour 4 – 6 pm! Bands on the weekend. Will be back!!!

Every time we come, there’s kids out front fundraising. So bring cash! They’ve wiped us out three times! This pretty big converted house has a lot of charm and seems to be a place that the locals frequent. Customer service is always greats and very helpful when it comes to their dishes. As for the food, have you ever heard of having Seafood Chowder that had just TOO much of a seafood taste?! Well that sums up my soup experience. I thought that maybe it was just me since I had just brushed my teeth, and did a whitening session. So without telling the Fiancé anything I asked if he wanted to taste it. He then blurted out the same thing it was thinking, «Wow! That’s a strong seafood taste.» Aside from the taste the soup was also lukewarm. Not my kind of dish. Now, what won me over was not only the customer service, but portions and taste(of the other food)! The young girl that helped us today was really attentive and great at giving suggestions. Now, I have a 6’4 man with a hearty appetite who takes down 2lbs burgers for fun and he was pleased to see the big serving of chicken parmesan sandwich and the quiche I ordered was very delicious. We enjoyed the food and plan on coming back to try their breakfast.
