This is a decent TJ Maxx. Not the best store, but not the worst. I always finds something whenever I go there. The staff seems nice & answer questions when asked. The store in Newark is wayyyyy better, which is why I am giving 3 stars.

With such a captive audience, why try better? Because they have to compete with the mall! I did manage to buy a few things here but not all that I hoped for. For those of us just passing through this town, it was an off day.

I like their food stuff like dried pasta and olives. I wish they had a larger selection of 8.5 shoes. They seem to consistently have nice pet beds.

Someone told me whenever they go into this specific TJ Maxx, they always walk out empty handed. I expected to go in here and find nothing. I found a few things, but the store was a bit of a mess(I’m assuming because of black friday sales). Any trip to TJ Maxx is a decent one for me, wherever the store is. The associate who checked us out was also very nice and polite. This store also had a large variety of purses and suitcases, which were organized neatly.

I often stop in while I’m shopping elsewhere in the area, just because you never know what you’re going to find, and they have great merchandise turnover, so there’s always something new to see. Favorite recent finds include gardening tools, Henckels and Wustof knives, Le Creuset Dutch ovens, Born sandals, and an armload of clothing for myself. All well below list price. Lots of very cool housewares — I buy most of my bedding, towels, and knives from here. Lots of really chic little decorative items, but my house is already cluttered with that sort of thing, so I do a lot of browsing, but not a whole lot of buying.
