It’s great to see a place in our community like this one. Not only do they sell fresh, healthy foods but I’ve found that many of their products are priced surprisingly lower then the bigger supermarket chains. The staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable but you can tell that they’re there out of love for what they do and not just for the paycheck. Think that’s it? Well you’d be wrong!!! Besides great food, great prices and a friendly staff they have an area right outside with live farm animals from a cow to goats to chickens etc… I believe that it’s not just great for the kids, but great for the kid inside all of us. If you’re looking for a local farm that sells fresh, local, healthy food then stop on by and them a try. F.Y.I. you don’t need to be a customer to enjoy the farm animals.

The meats and the chicken are pricey but absolutely worth it. The veggies and prepared foods are very reasonable and top quality. We are so lucky to have them close by. Certainly less expensive than Whole Foods and more local choices than anywhere else. Love love love Tendercrop Farm!

Being a farmer I was excited to see the work in progress on the fields surrounding the old Tuttle property when I passed through on business a while back. I hadn’t been there in years so I figured I’d try the store. I have stopped in there several times now over the past few months and found the quality generally good with a nice selection of meat cheese produce and sundry goods. My last visit 2 days ago was not good at all. I had gotten some substandard cuts of meat from them in the past but this time I tried a seasoned prepackaged pork chop that turned out to be actually rotting when I got home to open it. It smelled so bad that it stunk up the kitchen and I had to turn on the exhaust fan. Had to give it to the dog. That plus I have found the clerks at checkout to be unhappy and unpleasant. This past visit I waited patiently at checkout while they ignored me to discuss their schedule. When the clerk deigned to check me out she sniffed and told me how much she doesn’t care for the brand of cheese I bought. I like small farm operated stores but the overall experience here is disappointing.

They have a great selection of meats, a bit pricy but they are fresher and better tasting than what you would get at a supermarket. The soups are good, and they’re vegetables and fruits are always fresh. Worth the visit and the price. What you get is good fresh food.

Very pleased to find this gem so close to my new home in Portsmouth NH. Took my grand niece to see the petting animals. I was looking for dried flowers and like your Newbury MA farm, have a big selection. Will come back regularly for fruit & vegetables etc.

The first 2 times I went there, when they first opened, I was in love. Now, I’ve been there 4 times in the last month and was not happy. One day I went for fresh basil and they were out, not to have any for a week. The next time I went there was for chicken salad — none. The next time I bought some beautiful looking tomatoes, only to come home, cut them open and two tomatoes had a big black rotted hole in them. Today I went there and there were fruit flies all over the place. From the tomatoes all the way up to the onions. Even the mid-aisles had fruit flies around the veggies. Also today, I bought some fresh basil but I had to search through what was there b/c there were many bunches that were already going bad. I tried to explain to the person restocking something else near me, but he did not understand english. At this point, I’m not sure if I’ll ever go back there or not. Today really bothered me with all the fruit flies everywhere. Not good.

This is the my favorite place to ship. I go several times a week for fresh vegetables. My Grandson always asks if i have to go to the farm. He wants me to go so he can get a snack and feed his friend the goat!

This store includes a butcher counter with local meat and quality sausages, fresh(frequently local) produce, a small bakery that produces a few ok breads. This place is all about quality! The seasonal produce is excellent both in price and quality. The butcher counter is full service; in addition to being very knowledgeable, they were able to get me fresh beef’s blood, which is typically hard to get. They make their own of several types of meats; their kielbasa is way better than anything you can get at the supermarkets. Tendercrop farm is a bit upscale, but if you come for the produce you can catch some excellent seasonal deals. I love this place and will continue to come back.

As a mother of 3, I grocery shop a lot… Tendercrop is the only place I can shop where my kids actually want to come with me! The fruit and veggies are so fresh. We always try something new. The meats are excellent. We haven’t tried much from the bakery, but I’m sure everything is yummy. The staff is so helpful and they always engage with my kids. It is a bit out of the way for me, but it is worth the trip.

The soup get’s a 5 star. Very expensive but the quality is top notch. I must admit how do you justify a 1 lb organic butter at $ 18.00 The beef is excellent, fruits are fresh. People are helpful.

I was saddened to see Tuttle’s shut down, but Tendercrop is exactly the type of establishment I was hoping would move in. Excellent local meats, and endless fresh produce.

The former Red Barn at Tuttle’s Farm is now occupied by Tendercrop Farm, and they are off to an impressive start. Until now, I made Fiddlehead Farms my stop for local produce, but they will be facing some big competition from Tendercrop. The selection and quality of fruits, veggies, meats and baked goods is very impressive. I’ve only had the chance to visit a couple times since they opened in mid March, but I have always walked out with more than I planned.
