The food is what you would expect from a sports bar. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a sports bar. The noise level is what you would expect from a sports bar. None of that is spectacular, but all of it relatively good. What is awesome is the beer menu. Well over 60 beers on tap, and the bartenders are usually very helpful with suggestions if you’re looking to try something new.

I love the beer selection however I wish it would change out more often. Great that you can do a tasting flight! The food is sub par and the service could be better bit for a chill bar for some beers I can’t really complain.

Nice place to have good food and cold beer to catch any game on 20+ screens Overall way to loud to say it’s a family restaurant, more like a legit sports bar. Wish there was a way to tone down the noise. Great food!

Yes, the drink selection THEBEST in town and the food is fine(nothing special), but the level of noise is insane. I couldn’t hear the people I was sitting with. My throat was sore from screaming by the time we left. I’m used to noise, I like noise, but my God, it was ridiculous. This combined with the numerous screens above and around my head, this is paradise if you have ADD. If you want to go to the bar for a drink and watch(not hear) the game or if you want to go out for dinner but don’t necessarily want to talk to the person or people you’re going out with, this is a good place to try out.

Best pizza in Dover. The rest of the menu is great as well(delicious veggie burger, tots are to die for, and the variety of options for starters and mains is great!) Not to mention the beer selection. But the reason we keep coming back week after week is for the pizza. The crust is crispy and chewy, they don’t overdo the cheese, and you can have literally any pizza you could ever dream up. Despite the fact that Dover has more pizza places than it should, there are surprisingly few great pies available! Enter the Thirsty Moose. Problems solved. The delivery service is fantastic, and we enjoy eating in restaurant just as much. I am looking forward to trying the brunch next!

Four words: good drinks, good food. More? Ok. Let’s start with the ice coated bar to keep your drinks cool. And how delicious the adult beverages are. Not a mixed drink kinda person? Well, they have over 70 beers on tap, and more bottled. Food. Yummy delicious food. Appetizers with twists(spicy tater tots, anyone?). Huge burgers. Half price, delicious pizzas on Thursdays(I’m sure they’re always delicious, but the half price part is only on Thursdays). Try the Moose Mac pizza, especially if you’re a fan of Big Macs. Service? Enh, so so. While sitting at the bar, the service was fast and polite; couldn’t ask for better. While sitting at the table… Not so much. Had to flag down our waitress to get refills, and waited on them for what seemed like forever. Not terrible, but not expected when you are sitting in a spot your server has to pass about every minute. The atmosphere was fun– lots of screens, lots of sports, and windows that open so you feel like you’re sitting outside when the weather is nice. And the prices were reasonable. I only wish it were closer to home and not someplace I only go once a year!

Great beer selection. Bartenders in the large bar are funny, friendly and knowledgeable. Food is your standard pub fare but very good nonetheless. Lots of tvs and can be a bit noisy at times if you’re looking for a «family» meal. Standard«peak» times can be very busy or incredibly quiet.

Great food and drinks, definitely one of the most reliable places in Dover for great service and food. You could pretty much take anyone in there unless they were super health nut. Then they might not have a lot of options. Great casual restaurant for grabbing lunch or going out with friends

Solid pub type fare. Not super impressive but tasty all around. It can get crowded but definitely a great place to grab a beer and watch a game.

Big game night and the foods great like usual. The manager in the 100% Ed Hardy attire. You know, the one w/the motorcycle necklace outside the shirt to show he rides… Somebody needs to tell that guy that THEGUN on his hip was a little bit much. I guess it’s concealed but if your hands pulling back your shirt to show off the outline of it, we got it. You still live at home with your mom, and you’re trying to impress the teenage girls that your supposed to be in charge of. Rock on bro. At least you work at a place that has good food and good beer. And hey, if I was as much of a open scumbag as you, I would be doing the same thing. No judgment. It takes all kinds. Thanks again.

The beers were really good… But they also served me an expired beer and charged me for it… What a shame

I love the waitstaff and the food is delicious. The first time I came in for a pickup order the manager was awesome. He made sure I got what I needed and even though I protested, he gave me a gift certificate for a pizza because they forgot to give me my pizza as part of the pickup order. It was no big deal really, I live like five minutes away. The pizza was ready to go but they just missed it and I missed it until I got home to divvy out the food to my family. They are excellent about getting sports on the TV for you as well if you ask them. I came in after my sons soccer match one morning and I desperately wanted to catch the Rugby World Cup match and they sortede it all out so I could enjoy the game with a cold beer and face full of food while stuffing my kids gullets at the same time. Great place, ’nuff said

Thirsty Moose is everything you want out of a sports bar with pizza and beer. They have plenty of televisions. No seat in the establishment is without a view of one or more large flat screens. The beer selection is amazing here, too. They have well over 60 beers including many local/regional, craft, and seasonal beers plus the options you can find almost anywhere such as Guinness, Coors Light, and Bud Light. In addition, the pizza here is very good: great crust, great cheese, and great sauce. It’s one of the best places for pizza in Southern New Hampshire. For non-pizza fans, they also have several other options such as salads, wings, chicken tenders, chili, and potato skins.

One of the BEST Rubens I’ve had locally — seriously fantastic… No soggy bread! Tons of beer on tap(not a big drinker but for those of you who are it just be heaven) lots of TVs for sports etc. Waitress was good not great, seemed a little rushed — which was the only slightly negative thing about my experience. I will definitely visit again to try the pizza — looked awesome! ****chicken bacon ranch pizza — holy moly ! Yummy! This pizza gives LaFesta a run for their money*****

I’m visiting from California and was introduced to this place via a local recommendation. The beer selection is extensive and encompasses a very eclectic group. Drinks are a little expensive, but not bad. The menu is varied also and generally speaking American, food comes out fast, servers are friendly and over the duration of my 3 weeks stay I have gone twice. I was displeased however that they do not accept anything but an US issued ID/license or passport, foreign government issue licenses or IDs are NOT accepted, leaving much of my foreign party without drinks. I haven’t encountered this problem before… Bring a passport for booze!

AMAZING beer selection, friendly, knowledgeable bar staff, and the few apps we orders were pretty good. A big space with the ability to accommodate large groups and Plenty of TVs to watch every game imaginable. My pick for best bar in Dover for their huge beer selection!

We recently stopped in for drinks and appetizers at the Thirsty Moose in Dover, NH. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff seemed to have it under control. Great service and a great local beer selection. There was even a top 5 list of beers recommended by the staff, which I thought was a nice touch. We ordered the BBQ nachos with the pulled pork, which was absolutely delicious. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely return.
