Low prices for the food, but the food took forever to come out. I’ve been here a few times and the service is friendly but inconsistent. Sat us down and gave us coffee and water right away but as we sat and waited for our food(for a long time) service got less and less pronounced. Food is decent and it’s at a great price.

Breakfast tasted off, Texas toast tasted like popcorn butter, potatoes tasted rancid, service was good was about the only thing going here.

The breakfast is decent and the service is great… depending on who you get. In my opinion the dinner is too greasy and lacks seasoning.

Great small town spot to get some good food. Not the cleanest and it’s pretty cramped, but the excellent customer survive and the food totally makes up for it. My wife and I stopped in for a quick bite to eat while visiting some family and were shocked at the amount of food we were given at an unbeatable price. We both got ½ lbs burgers that came with fries and the soup of the day for just over $ 12! We were both shocked at how great everything tastes too! They’re definitely giving all the large fast food chains the surround them a run for their money.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and were pleasantly shocked for the plentiful food and really low prices. Great value and we would definitely be back if we lived closer. The kids split a big hot dog and loved the pudding dessert. I ordered the spinach pie and loved the plentiful cottage cheese, peaches and lots of veggies. My husband ordered the veal cutlet. We were all very pleased with our meals.

we love this place — -my faves are the stir fries and the crepes with strawberry whipped stuff in the middle! It can be very busy — prices are very good! Don’t miss stopping in here when in the area! It has been there forever!

Ate at Mr. Wahoo’s Eatery for the first time today. Decided to try it out when we saw the parking lot was full and all the other restaurant parking lots were empty. Glad we made the decision to stop in and eat. Man-o-man, the food was great(and abundant). The price for our two meals was way under what we would have spent for two at Mickey D’s or B. K.(the two nearest restaurants) and we wouldn’t have got as much to eat either. I can honestly say WEWILLDEFINITELYBEGOINGBACK!

Great service and always tasty food. Impossible amount of food for the price. There’s no way to leave this place hungry. I have to feel for the servers because the food is so incredibly cheap that they probably lose out on some money with straight-percentage tippers.

One of the best breakfast places in Dowagiac. I’m also a huge fan of their bread pudding. It’s a really great place to get a meal.

Although, I’ve previously been a long time patron, my experience on 4÷15÷11 has changed my mind about this restaurant forever. My experience on this day was not only disappointing, but demonstrated a lack of compassion, and extreme unprofessional ism. Upon drinks being ordered, I requested a hot chocolate, in a to go cup, for my 5-year-old granddaughter, to avoid any spills, as I did expect the drink to be hot. Drinks arrived at the table and we began to place our order with the server. While doing this, I noticed that my granddaughter was crying, and then noticed that the lid of the hot chocolate had come off of her drink, causing it to spill down the front of her dress, which caused her to drop it on the table. At this time, I immediately tried to assess my granddaughter, who had been clearly burned in her mouth, lips, chest and stomach. At this time, the server walked away. She only returned to clean off the table. She showed no concern or acknowledgment to my granddaughter’s condition, but she appeared to be angry and annoyed. At this time, we questioned the temperature of the hot chocolate, as it appeared to be hotter than our coffee, due to the steam rising from the table. The server refused to take any responsibility, showed no compassion, and argued about the incident, using profanity. I gathered our belongings, and assisted my granddaughter away from the table, and outside to determine if she needed to go to the emergency room. My friend went to the cashier counter, following the server’s demands, to take care of generating a drink bill. At that time, while waiting for the cashier to complete the sale, whom appeared to show concern, non verbally, my friend asked calmly, if she could speak to the owner, or to a manager, to report this incident and to also let them know how we had been treated. When the owner, of Wahoo Eatery, met with my friend, she asked if she could speak to him in private, to avoid disrupting other patrons in the restaurant. The owner refused, and started to argue and deny any responsibility. No one at this establishment inquired about my granddaughter’s condition.

It isn’t the cleanest, nicest, or largest place, but when a place is surrounded by newer fast food franchises and is still packed with locals you know they are doing something right. The food is hearty, the prices are über cheap and the staff is quick. They have the menus with local advertisments in them and some of the best hot turkey sandwiches I have ever had. When in Dowagiac you need to go here!

Any time we are in the area, we make it a point to go there for at, least one meal. Their«specials» are the best, think the«Blue Plate Specials» of yesteryear, complete meals. Several«specials» are offered each day and any of them that my wife and I have tried are awesome, to say the least. Dinners come complete with some of the best pudding desserts you will find and the service there is always as good as you will find anywhere. The owner apparently prefers cash payments as they have a $.65 surcharge to charge your meal(s) to a credit or debit card. This is the only place where I can honestly say they try to keep costs down, though.

Everyone has to have a Wahoo Burger when visiting Dowagiac– it’s just the thing to do. BTW: Wahoo has been around a long, long time and it serves the best burgers around. Enjoy!
