Some of the best food in the area. If you’re not in a hurry you can eat on the weekend. Service is excellent but the small number of staff in the kitchen are only able to put out so many meals per hour. While they are closed on Tuesday it’s a great place to grab lunch any other day of the week. The steak and cheese is excellent and large enough to fill even a hungry man.

The food was tasty, but the price paid for the portion is way off. Service was slow to non-existant.

Don’t come in a hurry! This little spot is great to come and relax. We came on a sunday morning to have breakfast with our two young children and the food was so delicious! My husband and I both got the eggs Benedict with lobster for a dollar more than the crab was soooooooo worth it! The kids split the french toast and that was super yummy as well! The owner is super sweet and took great care of us. I almost didn’t want to write this review because I don’t want many other people to come find it! Its defiantly hidden! We loved it can’t wait to go back for another breakfast!

Yummy. I had the steak and cheese, my bf the Cuban Ruben. Mine was delicious, great flavor, great bread choice. One of the best steak and cheeses I’ve had. Bf said the Cuban Ruben was also great. I had a bit of the corned beef, was flavorful and fall apart tender. Was my first time here, and not easy to find but worth it. I will be back again soon.

This place is very deceptive. If you can actually find it without asked by for help, then good on you. It is tucked away down at the end of Dowell Rd. in the harbor area by the charter boat docks. From initial appearances, you’d think this was some run down little fishing shack or something. But don’t be fooled. Once you are inside the dining area, you’ll see that it’s a very clean place, and a nice little place. It has about 5 tables inside that can fit about 12 – 15 people tops. However, there are a few big picnic tables outside that can seat about 15 – 20 people. The view from the outside seating is pretty nice. Views of the harbor, sailboats going by, and just a nice relaxed area. The food… I started with the jerk shrimp appetizer. It was pretty good served with honey mustard sauce on the side. The shrimp had a blackened crust that you can taste on the back end when you eat it. I just thought it was pretty good. For my lunch meal, I had the Cuban Reuben sandwich. It was a cross between a Cuban sandwich and a Reuben on a little sub roll. The roll was toasted and had a dressing(thousand island I think). It was pretty good as well. The dish came with homemade potato chips that are made on site. They were good too. Overall, the entire lunch was good. It wasn’t quite a 5 star but it was a good solid 4 star. The two ladies working there were very nice and added to the warm country feel of the whole atmosphere. They are closing for the winter and will reopen in the spring. No will definitely be going back. I hear the pizza is pretty good too…

Man this place is hard to find if you’re looking for it, else just drive to the gravel on Dowell Rd then drive a little further. Don’t go where Google shows you. Unless you’re sightseeing. Fried asparagus, Cuban Ruben, crab pizza and beer — bring your own October afternoon. BTW service was v. good.

Meh… two star with potential. I did go on a cold overcast Sunday at the end of the season so my visit may have been ill timed but any business should be able to hold a rating regardless of the elements. I don’t usually start off with ambiance but in fairness to the owners constructive feedback is important… The café tables allow you to look over the«window island» which is a four stool facing the windows elongated table thing, this space could easily support and would be better suited to two café tables doubling the seating. The stools themselves are the cheap wood cobblers style not exactly made for a comfortable dining experience so padded high backs would be an easy fix. The outside picnic table seating looked like it would be great on a nice summer day to sit and watch the boats go by in the marina while having a couple of cold ones. The food was okay, I just wasn’t sure what it wants to be when it grows up… with that said I saw conch fritter appetizers that I had to try since I was told by the server that the conch was fresh from a local distributor… I’m guessing she was right but the fritters were overcooked and served with catsup straight out of the bottle into a plastic cup. Maybe if they were cooked to golden instead of dark brown and served up with a mango or Jamaican jerk sauce they would have been better(not great). I also ordered the«Cuban Ruben» which looked to have a great combination of pulled pork, corned beef, slaw, and a special sauce… not much flavor in the pork, the corned beef was straight from the deli and the bun would have been better if it was more of an artisan than a Costco offering… All on the edge of being good but not hitting the marks it could if a little more attention to flavor, quality, and detail were applied. I think the menu really needs an identity, it’s not Jamaican/Caribbean, it’s not the usual SoMD, it’s not a pizza joint, but you can kind of get those things there… My recommendation would be to put a steak in the sand and declare a specific style of offerings unique to the area, provide a flavor profile with a wow factor, and pay attention to quality detail that stands out drawing patrons to the remote destination. The service was typical SoMD… I was the only one in there and it felt like I was the only one in there except for the chatter between the unseen waitress and cook in the kitchen. Don’t get me wrong, the server was friendly just didn’t hit the marks… especially when I had to interrupt her lunch to let her know I didn’t need anything else but a check… I hope this place gets better and survives, I wish them luck next season…

First experience here, food was great. Had the Crab Solomon appetizer, shared a steak and cheese, and small jerk chicken pizza. Fresh food, very relaxing sitting on the deck overlooking the marina. Service with a smile and very affordable. Will be going again!

Cuban Reuben is delicious, pizza is hand tossed and 10x better than any other I’ve had. My boyfriend loves the cheesesteaks and the view is wonderful. It’s quiet and off the beaten path but it is worth the drive– and breakfast on the weekends is the best around!

Hidden Harbor is a hidden gem. The menu is a refreshing change from most restaurants in southern Maryland. My boyfriend and I like to kayak over for drinks(to enjoy the view) or drinks and dinner. There is a floating dock that guests can paddle up to. The food is fresh, the portions ample, and the price comparable. I have had the grouper sandwich a few times and my boyfriend has had the Cuban Reuben and jerk chicken. We recommend this spot to locals and visitors alike!

Imagine, if you will, slender stalks of market-fresh asparagus. Then visualize them lightly battered and quickly fried, and served with a mustard — based dipping sauce. This was a recent featured starter at the Hidden Harbor near Solomon’s Island. After this treat I moved on to the Grouper sandwich, which was also excellent — sautéed with just a hint of Cajun seasoning, accompanied by house-made chips and a not-too-garlicky dill pickle quarter. BTW, the view from their deck is free. Great food and friendly staff made this a great dining experience!

We found this hidden little gem by boat. Don’t let the building scare you away. The staff was so friendly. Husband had a burger and fries and said it was good. Chicken Wings were good. They have several flavors to choose from. Cuban Rueben was excellent! I had an order of kale as my side and it was delicious. I would just go back for the kale alone and order a bowl of it. They make pizzas here also, no one in our party ordered pizza, but people around us were ordering it and what I saw pass by looked and smelled really good. We will have to try their pizza next time we go. And of course I will get a bowl of kale!

Great food. The menu is a surprise, because the appearance of the building doesn’t appear to support that quality of cuisine. Food is fresh and tastefully prepared. The Big Mike Burger is fantastic, and the pizza is by far the best in Southern Maryland. Come by car or by boat.
