This was our first time and it was great! The service was great — the teens working the counter were quick and attentive. The ice cream was delicious! Can’t wait to go back! Keep up the great work!

This place was delicious. I was in the mood for ice cream but wanted something more unique than cold stone or oberweis and this place popped up. Located in the quaint downtown area of downers grove this place boasts over 2 dozen flavor at a time. They even had superman ice cream which I haven’t seen since I was a kid on vacation! Ordered a waffle cone(so fresh) with grasshopper and Milky Way! The Milky Way was delicious, I’d never had it before anywhere! I am excited to go back to try the peppermint flavor next time! Well staffed with indoor and outdoor seating. There’s definitely a flavor here for everyone in your group!

We loved this little ice cream shop in downtown Downers Grove. The staff was a couple of very friendly teenagers that made sure our kids were happy with their choice of flavor. The ice cream seems to be of very high quality and is extremely reasonable in price. The only downfall is the parking located near the train station, which can be difficult to navigate during busy times of day.

I wish I could give a better review, but 3 stars is all I can do. The good… the scoops of ice cream were very generous, tasty and the prices were reasonable. The bad… the sundae we ordered was not worth it. The brownie was cold, hard and nearly impossible to eat with the plastic spoons. The ugly… service was not good. The girl working the counter was completely distracted by a friend of hers standing in the store. She rushed our order, got it wrong, and was pretty much dismissive of us in order to get back to her personal conversation. She fixed our order, but the negative image was set, I noticed other customers similarly annoyed.

There is so much to order here and that was the great thing. We ordered a few cones and were amazed at the size for a small. Unless ice cream is what you’re eating for dinner, I don’t recommend anything bigger! I was hoping they had smaller shaped cones for kids, but it’s not the case– at least not when we were there. The only disappointment(because it surely wasn’t quantity!) was the flavor. We ordered pistachio and chocolate peanut butter and were just… wishing there was more flavor. It was such a cute place and had that hometown feel, but the flavor was not what we hoped. The peanut butter wasn’t in thick ribbons like we love and it kind of just tasted like peanut butter ice cream. We’ve had better, but the experience was great.

Visited this little local ice cream store by the Tivoli theater in Downers Grove. It was crowded when we got there, a good sign… many customers enjoying their cones and sundaes outside on a warm summer night and some inside at the few tables they had in the store. The ice cream was good and creamy. I had a scoop of cappuccino on a sugar cone. I also took two frozen bananas dipped in chocolate with nuts home with me. I had one today it was good, too. Although, they can improve on these as they were lacking on nuts. Most places rolls the banana in nuts after dipping. Their frozen bananas just had a sprinkling of nuts on one side.

5-stars for patience, alone! The night we went in there, there was a super neurotic customer who wanted a «marble cake» ice cream and was insisting that they mix chocolate and vanilla scoops like«they do at cold stone.» He was totally entitled and annoying and I have no idea how they put up with his neediness. It’s desert, dude… get two scoops and mix it yourself!

Great service, great ice cream! I’ve been here many years ago and decided to stop in on short notice and I am happy I did. The young lady who was working was very pleasant and willing to deal with my indecisiveness and the fact that I need to taste every flavor. Most importantly it’s worth your money. I paid $ 4.20 for a huge cup of delicious coconut almond fudge ice cream. I recommend this for anyone in the area!

Perfect summer stop! Right in downtown DG we love to take the dog for a nice stroll right to the ice cream shop! My all time favorite is the moose tracks on a sugar come. Yum! The ice cream is a perfect balance of vanilla and chocolate with a little nutty flavor. The junior scoop size is more than enough! If you are in need of a cake, their ice cream cakes are delicious too! You can order them with any flavor of ice cream they have. Best ice cream shop around.

Fairly good selection of ice cream choices, including smoothies, sundae, icee drinks. The location is nice, considering it is around an abundant amount of parking and walking distance to a plethora of restaurants and café.

Hot day with kids? Can’t miss. Great selection of flavors. A junior scoop cone is more than enough for a kid(or me), but everything else is good too!

My family loves this place for generous ice cream scoops and loads of flavor options. They are busy, but that’s because it’s so popular. Everyone hangs out on the benches outside enjoying the atmosphere. Friday nights in the summer are especially crowded, so come Monday through Thursday if you aren’t a people person.

Great mom and pop joint in Downers Grove. Kids love it and the ice cream is really good. There’s something about going to the little places like you went to as a kid. I don’t wAnt my kids growing up on Cold Stone or Baskin Robbins. This is the type of place you want to go and sit outside and eat your cone. Ring the bell outside the door if you’ve had a great experience! We ring it often!

I was really excited when I found out that this ice cream shop has birthday cake as one of their favors. I have been craving this favor ever since I moved to Chicago a year ago. In California, Rite aid(basically a Walgreens or a CVS) has the best birthday cake ice cream ever, but there are no Rite aid around here. The ice cream was decent, nothing too special about it, however, it did satisfy my craving. I got an ice cream cone(two scoops) and the total came out to be $ 7. It was pricy for an ice cream cone.

This is a neat little ice cream shop located in DTDG near the Metra station. They have a wide variety of ice cream flavors and can make sundae, floats, smoothies, etc. They do give free samples so if you are indecisive, don’t feel shy to ask to try a few samples to help you with your decision. Tip: I got a «single» scoop on regular cone and it was more like 2.5 scoops. The server mentioned that their single scoop is like a medium. Lots of their flavors remind me of Rite-Aid ice cream but it is a bit pricier than that.

We came in 9:10. Someone came in after us and were told to leave because they had ‘closed’. Cocomero was found closed too at 9! They all close at 10! It’s not Sunday. The staff was ok. No good bye… From all 4 of thm. The floor was soaking wet and no sign. I asked my gf if I could trip but she said no… NO wet floor sign! Ice cream was good. Many selections too choose from. Mackinac island fudge was good. Blue moon was too sugary. My gf who got a simple two scoop was given much more than my two scoop dipped cone. For a total of 10.02 we will go back to oberwies or caputos for a whole tub and cake…

Best ice cream around. And by around, I mean in the world. Unfortunately every trip comes paired with a not so sweet staff member. Ive been coming here since I was a little kid,(23 now) and every time(except 1 or 2) the person behind the counter could clearly not hate life more.

How can you not like an ice cream shop with an awesome name like theirs? But then again I’m easily amused… Anyways, I had a junior scoop of chocolate peanut butter ice cream in a cup and the junior scoop is quite large. My ice cream had a nice chocolate to peanut butter ratio which is always a plus. They have a bunch of different ice cream flavors which is a plus. The only downside of this ice cream shop was the lack of organization. I had no idea where to order since there was no line and customers were spread out around the counter.

I love their ice cream! It is definitely my favorite place to go. Their ice cream is a little more sweet(literally) than most places, but it is fantastic!

This shop is hilarious! It seems to be a highschool kid hot hangout spot and all the workers seem to be highschool kids. They’re a funny bunch in there. Ice cream was served in a cup as the picture shows, but it’s really good! They have a lot of cool and exciting flavors making it hard to choose which I wanted. I went with Chocomania and Grasshopper… both were really good! Blue Moon looked very cool and I want to try that in the future! My friend got a cone that was filled so high with ice cream, he ended up just putting it in a dish for us. lol Really a funny little shop with really good ice cream!
